e.l.f Liquid Eyeliner Review

Moving from a pen eyeliner to this, I am very happy with the result, my winged line is so much more smooth, defined, and darker than when i used a pen. I do find that the end of the brush is quite long and a bit square rather than tapered into a point, which makes it harder to get a really sharp point on my wing, but it is awesome for the price.

I bought a three pack of these liners on IHerb for only $3 and considering the cost, they are incredible products. However, if I was to ignore the bargain factor I would like to point out a few issues.

I got a plain black, a gold glitter and a silver glitter liner in the pack. The black liner is very watery and it's quite hard to build into a solid line. To remedy this I had to fill in the line with another liquid eyeliner by Coral Colours - luckily both are matte black so they blended well. I'd also say that the glitter in the gold and silver liners should be a little finer, as I think that would look better on the lid. Those are the only 'cons' that I could see, and they're pretty minimal in the grand scheme of things. There are far more things to love about the product than there are to loathe!

The applicator wands are amazing, I wish all liners were made this way. The black liner has a very fine pin point brush that makes it easy to create a variety of liner looks! Usually I find it hard to get a precision line with most liquid liners as they have a felt tip style applicator - but not the e.l.f liner! It is really awesome :) I found that it was great for creating wings and drawing the eyeliner outline, which I then filled in with a 'felt tip style' liquid eyeliner. Even though I need to use two different products, I think the overal effect is worth it.

I also found that I could line my eye with the black and then put an overcoat of gold or silver liner on top without making the undercoat run. This meant I could create some really striking eye looks!

In terms of wearability, these liners stay put all day! They may be watery when first applied, but once they dry they're there to stay. Best of all, they are as easy to put on as they are to take off! Just wipe with a cloth and they're gone, no panda eyes afterwards. These benefits, along with the price, make this a product worth trying

I bought this eyeliner from iherb in a 3pack with two other glitter liners but it sat on my makeup table as i love my Maybelline Precise Liner so much, Then it ran out so i gave this a go. I have to say i love the wand its great to get a wing but unfortunately its not a great staying power eyeliner and wipes away quite easily which i havent found a fix for yet . Above all a average eyeliner but who can complain at $3

This is a great liquid liner for the price. I've tried others in the drugstore category but keep going back to this one.

I have the black and also brown which I use daily. I like the thin applicator it makes it really easy to get a thin precise line and wing. It is quiet a watery formula but dries well and fast.

Its not as opaque as i would like but it is easily buildable so that not really a big issue. I find that it does fade slightly after a few hours. If i have it on me i will just reapply it but its what i would expect for a product this cheap. I find it doesnt smudge at all which is quiet impressive.

i do really like this and will keep purchasing until i find something better. It definitely does the job well and is amazing for the price. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to fork out a ton of money and just wants something reliable for daily wear.

This eyeliner is actually very good for the price! It comes in a sleek black package with a thin brush applicator which allows you to easily create the look you wanting to achieve.

The pigmentation is okay, I often used two coats to achieve a more intense colour. In saying that it is very longwearing and didn't go dry/flake off or rub/transfer through out the day.

I think this would be a great product for beginners due to the price and that it is a great formula.

As much as i wanted to instantly use this eyeliner I was hugely let down.

The bristles on the brush inside the liner bottle was all bent different ways and obviously not something you can use if you want a sleek cat eye line. I left it in the back of my drawer for a long time and finally one day when i ran out of my other liquid liner I reached for it again. After washing the bush and cutting it with nail scissors I could finally use it and it was pretty good!

Was a nice matte black, that only needed one layer (with minimal second layer touch ups to make it really black) and it didn't sting my skin (like a lot of cheaper brand eyeliners do).

My only other issue would be that its very un-waterproof. If my eyes waters or it was humid, i found it washed off pretty quickly.

Its a pretty good starter for someone wanting to get into liquid liners, especially because of its reasonable price, or a good one to just have in your purse for emergencies.

Brought this product from shopmissa for 1 dollar. For 1 dollar it is pretty good. The downside is u have to wait a wee while for the eyeliner to dry as it is always wet.

I brought this liquid eyeliner in a pack (as it was much cheaper), I got three color's gold, silver (which ended up just being clear with glitter in it) and black. After trying so many other liquid eyeliners I have found the one that helps me practice the wing. The brush is fantastic and helps making a thin line just above the eyelashes. It is easy to apply, however the first application was really watery, but now it is at it's perfect consistency.

The other thing about this product is that it can be tough to remove.

I find this liquid liner sooo easy to apply. It is very pigmented and really glides smoothly along the eye and easily creates great shape.

My pet peeve is how long it lasts. It doesn't smudge which is a bonus but it tends to fade and flake after a while.

All in all a great liquid liner for the price. I still often wear it I just avoid it when I know I have a long makeup day ahead.

I like to use this when I'm in a rush because it's so sheer and mistakes are very forgiving. It's buildable! It is extremely thin and watery so I wouldn't recommend it for people who want an intense eye look. For the price it's pretty good. I wouldn't buy it in Kmart though because they will sell it for more than it's worth but I would definitely purchase again if I see it for 1USD.
