Perhaps my primer was wrong, I’ve been using the Mecca primer. This just went a little patchy on my skin - perhaps I’m too oily.

Lots of shades to choose from. Product has great coverage which lasts throughout the day. Very silky texture which is easy to blend.
I used this foundation for years. I stopped due to it having higher coverage than what I needed for everyday use. I’ve swapped to a lighter foundation. It would be easier to use if they put a pump on it.
I'd be giving this five lippies - if I only I could get the perfect colour match. I'm somewhere between colours 02 and 03 - one is too light, one too dark! Aggh! Anyway, this is definitely a great foundation, buildable, long lasting. But I'd have to say that Revlon Colourstay is a cheaper, but as good product.... Won't be repurchasing - based on price, comparability to Revlon - and not being able to get exactly the right colour! (Life is too short to play around with two colours to get exactly the right shade!)
Tips: Estee Lauder are great with samples. If you would like to try this, pop to a beauty counter and ask for a sample, they'll happily oblige.
It is a really good light foundation with perfect coverage without looking cakey, my skin looked so amazing while using this, it blended into my skin well, the color matched perfectly and it stayed put throughout the whole day. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone only because of the price, there are better alternatives out there for less than half the cost of this one and let's be honest: you're not paying so much money for the foundation, you're paying for the name estee lauder.
It certainly has a full coverage, I'll give it that. I'll also say that if you're at all dry skinned..proceed with caution. It has the tendency to emphasize dry areas and settle into lines..so perhaps use a foundation brush to get a nice even coverage, and don't use too close to the eye area. The lasting power is great, it does last without changing on the skin (I'm a dry combination skin type). I do prefer it's new little sister, Doublewear light foundation though, as this has a bit more of a glow to it while still delivering lasting power.
Tips: A little goes a long way, and work quickly with this as once it's set, well, it's definitely set! Remove with an oil based cleanser, foaming cleanser in the shower won't budge this once!
Sometimes this foundation works for my skin, others it doesn't. I don't like the inconsistency and not sure why it happens as my skin tends to be the same. I have the lightest shade which is Cool Bone but it is still slightly different to my skin tone as it seems to have a pinky undertone to it which my skin doesn't have. When this product does work on my skin it looks great, feels great and lasts till I get home, however sometimes it let's me down and makes my face look cakey and highlights any spots I may have.
I had to , HAD TO purchase this "go to" foundation after seeing so much positive feed back about it. I have always had a slight problem with makeup not staying putt and melting off my face half way through the day or becoming patchy and uneven in certain areas ESPECIALLY LIQUID, so I took a risk buying DW, annnnnd it disappointed me, it would look good for about an hour after it began to get patchy and oily. Its as hard as it is to put on to take off , after wearing it for a couple of days ( in hope it would just work) I began to break out, with red an rash looking bumps around my chin and cheeks . I am so glad this foundation has saved some of your beauties face days , but it just didn't work for me :(
Tips: Use a stippling brush to apply .
I like a lot of things about this foundation - it has great coverage, blends really well and easily and stays on all day. There are a lot of choices in colour, as well, so you can be matched to a shade really close to your own. The only downside is that it slips into the dry places on my skin (around my nose and eyes) and makes my skin look even drier.
Tips: If you have dry skin, use a strong moisturizer before you apply it (sometimes I even put it on over the foundation).
This foundation was a definite holy grail foundation especially during my late 20s and early 30s. Gives amazing full coverage, that made my skin look flawless. Depending on your skin prep and the/ or if you use primers will depend on the finish. I paired this foundation up with the Smashbox photo finish pore minimizing primer and loved the matte finish. Definitely worth the money. Only reason why I have given it a 3/5 for would I use it again is because now I'm nearly entering my 40s, my skin has changed and so has my preference of makeup application.
PROS: - its available in over 60 shades across cool, neutral and warm undertones. - its a medium to build-able full coverage - semi matte - works well with a brush or sponge - wears well throughout the day/ night
Cons: - the packaging, love the bottle but the fact you have to purchase the pump separate is a huge thumbs down - Invest time and/ or money into your skincare and primers, this foundation does like to accentuate dry areas. So you may need to up your hydration.
Tips: Prep skin well before use, it does like to accentuate dry areas.
