Australis Ready Set Finishing Powder

I have been using this product for a few months now, and think overall its quite good. It gives a really nice smooth finish to the skin. I have oily/combination skin and personally didn't find it helped keep the shine at bay for more than about 2-3 hours.

A good powder, not too thick or heavy, I found the texture a bit weird in the container but it went on fine and did make my skin feel more smooth. It wasn't as translucent as some powders and did make me more pale, which I liked because I can never find foundation pale enough so it helped with that. It didn't leave my skin any more oil free than other powders- took away the shin on application but didn't fight it throughout the day.

I am a massive fan of this powder. I've been using it close to two years now and it is my go to product. It does not make you look washed out or white and is a gorgeous finely milled powder. I use this to set my makeup and just does an incredible job of blurring any imperfections i might have

This is my daily setting powder. I found it helps keep the shine away, although I do reply it during the day. It's not entirely translucent and will make your skin slightly paler. For the money I think its worth it.

I quite liked the product, I have never used a loose powder face powder before so was unsure how I would go. I wore it over a full coverage foundation which I usually set with a pressed powder of the same brand. And I found the Australis powder just as good! Definitely lasted well and sat nicely on my skin. The second day I wore it over my favourite BB cream just to set it and make it last a bit longer and it really worked well with the BB Cream too. The only thing I didnt like was the sort of chalky smell and the fact that it kind of went everywhere (but that could be more to do with my application technique!). I definitely will continue to use the product and for its price range it definitely preforms well!

I use this daily as my setting powder when I have a long day at University and want my makeup to stay put! I really like this product, it actually makes my face feel incredibly smooth and soft which is my favourite thing about the product. It definitely keeps my makeup on for longer as it removes or soaks up the oil on my face and from my foundation so it doesn't slide around and off my face. The only problem I have is that it definitely creates a white cast on your face in photography, so I highly recommend NOT wearing this if photographs are being taken. I made the mistake of wearing it to a ball...bad idea I looked like Casper :(

The day I got this powder I had been running around in the heat all day so my makeup was looking second hand but I needed to head back out so I applied the Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder over my existing make up – it took the shine away and ‘renewed’ my make up. Other days I have applied it at the same time as my foundation – at work in the air con I have noticed my skin is dryer with this powder but otherwise my make up lasts well. Small packaging but you don’t need much powder. I apply with a kabuki makeup brush, the powder is talc like – often leaving a poof of white fog over my face as I’m applying it. Kind of messy application as you have to shake the powder up to get more on the brush. Light weight matte finish. For the value I think it’s a great product.

I do really like this powder, it leaves your skin with a smooth finish, and makes your skin feel lovely. I used to have problems with my bronzer going patchy and sticking to parts of my foundation, this powder does a GREAT job of preventing this happening. The only negative is that I am used to & prefer powder with a bit of coverage in it, however, if I were to use a translucent powder this would be one I would go for again.

I have never used a Finishing Powder before so I was a complete novice at using this product. The packaging is attractive with the black and pink colours and the container is not too big that I could put it in my hand bag.

I had difficulty opening the inner lid that separates the powder from the top lid and ended up throwing it away as the tiny holes dont let enough of the powder to come through. That meant that when I opened the top lid a plume of powder would go everywhere (but I find this with all products that are packaged in this way).

The actual finishing powder was very effective and did exactly what it says it will. It was easy to get good coverage using a brush. My skin is on the oily side and I found this product worked very well on my skin, it felt lovely and smooth and really helped my make up stay on all day long. I trialled it with both a mineral powder foundation and a liquid foundation underneath and found that it worked better with the liquid foundation (too much powder otherwise) and stayed on really well all day long.

Whilst I may not use it every day - simply because I prefer to use a mineral foundation and not a liquid one beforehand - I would use this product for special occasions and it would have been great to have had when I was dancing competitively and working up a sweat because it didnt get oily at all on my skin.

I really like this product. It has a good coverage and helped to eliminate oiliness and excess shine. It's a great price and it's a must-have if you are on a budget.
