I bought this shade because it's classified as a 'coral' colour on Tarte's website and the swatches online seemed quite promising.
I'm disappointed because I found that it's more pink than coral. I would have expected atleast a hint of orange but it's just pink on my skin (MAC NC42-44).
I've been using it over a couple of months and it's a tad annoying having to use a lot of product just to get a decent colour pay off. My first swipe of colour across the cheeks is almost non-existent but by swipe number 4 I'm good to go. It doesn't last long on me, probably 4-5 hours with primer and setting spray (note: I have oily skin).
The packaging looks great online but it's just a colourful piece of cheap plastic but a nice change from the black compacts. I will not be repurchasing this item and would probably only recommend the shade Tipsy for those lighter than MAC NC42-44 who don't mind a flush of pink and paying US$26 (approximately NZ$34 at time of purchase using Shipito).
I have this blush in the shade 'unleashed'. It comes in the After Dark palette but its the same formula and its full sized so I hope this counts!
Its a beautiful colour I would describe as a muted dusky pink/rose that I could imagine suiting all skin colours except maybe very dark. It is matte, which is nice as you can keep it that way or add shimmer in the form of a highlight.
I'm not too sure about the claims that it 'hydrates the skin' to 'restore moisture' - to me that sounds a little far-fetched for a powder blush however it does produce an amazing colour on the cheeks that lasts all day (does tend to fade a little) and isn't patchy.
It isn't super pigmented but I love that, as it means you can build up for a natural colour without accidentally applying too much in one go.
Would definitely recommend these blushes to anyone looking for a great staple blush with good everyday colours to suit everyone. I'm definitely looking at picking more up in the near future!
Tips: If your blush isn't applying well look also at the brush you're using - tools are important!
Also if the blush isn't staying as long as you want, it can be to do with the foundation underneath. Make sure you use a good primer, foundation and setting spray :)
