St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub Review

I currently use this face wash once a week and have been using it for the last few months. The beads are quite big and rough which definitely helps with exfoliating but if you use a heavy hand too much it may scratch your skin so be mindful of that. Personally i wouldn't re purchase just because i like my exfoliaters to be a bit less harsh and for the beads to be micro sized, but i just had to try this out as it is insanely cheap and I've heard good reviews from other people. Really i think its all about personal preference with this! Its worth a try!

I'm pretty notorious for treating my skin badly. I almost never wash my face and sometimes sleep with my makeup on, only really using makeup wipes. This scrub is quite literally the only product I use because I love it so much and it makes a huge difference.

Every few days I notice my skins gets a little dry, especially around my nose, and my pores start showing (again, especially on my nose). And this is usually from daily wearing makeup and constantly being in chlorinated water. So being able to scrub my skin clear of all the dead bumps and patches is wonderful, it is pretty tough but doesn't leave your skin raw, instead my skin is left soft and fresh like baby skin.

What I love the most about this product is that recently it has come to my attention that the microbeads in some exfoliants are very dangerous and polluting. Since microbeads are tiny and buoyant they may manage to make it through water treatment and end up back in our oceans where they are mistaken for food by sea life. St. Ives face scrubs (both this and the blemish control one) have 100% natural exfoliants, the don't use microbeads and instead use crushed walnut shell. I'm not an environmentalist, but I think its important to not impact the Earth badly just because I want to wash my face.

So all in all, I love this scrub, its harsh, but not too harsh and more natural than other brands. Its also affordable and can be found at your local supermarket. I'd encourage anyone to make the change from microbeads to St Ives apricot scrub.

I used this daily for a number of weeks when my skin was at it's worst, it was a little harsh on the skin but didn't dry mine out like most products, it was pleasant smelling and left my skin feeling really clean. It also worked well during pregnancy when my skin was quite sensitive.

Although slightly more expensive than most face scrubs but it really works. It makes your face feel so smooth and does help get rid of black heads. I would really recommend this even if your skins pretty good. It doesn't smell very strong and you don't have to use very much each time and you can use it as often as you want.

This apricot scrub is great and uses tiny crunches of walnut shell as natural exfoliants in it's cleansing apricot formula. At first, I thought the exfoliants were a little harsh and scratchy on my sensitive skin, but it works as it says it will, "revealing smooth and radiant skin". 

This scrub has a rich scent of apricots, and a great exfoliating formula to help remove dead, flaky skin and grime. Great to wash the day away (if you're using at night) or to refresh your skin for the day ahead. I love how St Ives is using natural exfoliants instead of the little plastic micro beads other brands often use, so you don't need to feel guilty of polluting the environment and know that while your skin is being looked after, so is your world.

My skin feels fresh and new after using this, but once out of the shower you need to remember to moisturise straight away, because it strips your skins natural oils a little too. My skin is dry though, so it's always that way. If your skin is super reactive and sensitive, I would recommend not using this too often because it could cause your skin to flare or get blotchy (the crunches of walnut shell can be a bit rough).

This has been one of my favourite scrubs. I use it when I've had a break out since it helps clear away pimples quickly. I love the smell and the texture and it makes me feel like I am getting rid of the yucky stuff on my face. You only need to lightly scrub your face with it.

I use this everyday! It leave skin feeling clean and smoothe! Its so refreshing.. I love the texture as it actually feels like its cleanng your skin. Ive been using this since I was about 15 (im 20 now) I never really have problems with acne etc but this stuff helps when I have blemishes, it drys out pimples so you dont need to pop them etc which helps reduce scarring!

This scrub is literally my holy grail of all facial scrubs. There is no other scrub i have tried that does the same thing. I use this everyday, in the morning and at night and my face feels soo smooth! I get asked what foundation I am wearing often, and the thing is, I don't have any on :) LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I remember the article about this scrub and commented saying how I didn't like it.

Using it as a teen and in my early 20s I remember how badly my skin broke out using it so it was a product that wasn't on my radar until recently.

I stood in the skincare isle of our local supermarket looking at all the scrubs available and this one really stood out. It got me wondering, with my mature skin could it possibly work for me now??? So I made the purchase.

Boy am I glad I did! I started using this product once a week in the morning and within 2 weeks I noticed the difference in my skin. so that's only 2 washes. Now it wasn't less break outs that I noticed but it was how hydrated my skin was. My usual dry patches gone! My skin felt so incredible and soft.

The more I used it I noticed the less pimples I was getting and I was getting less blackheads also.

The formula itself is quite thick and well chunky. For a scrub it was no surprise to me. It was gentle and didn't feel overly harsh when washes my face with it.

I still only use it once a week which seems to be the perfect thing for my skin at the moment.

I've used this product for a while now and I find it to be really good and exfoliating away dead skin, particularly in summer when in the sun and swimming alot. It doesn't flare up my psoriasis but it a very gritty scrub so I only use it fornightly or one a month. Smells amazing too and your skin feels soo soft after
