A very good moisturizer/primer that practically glides on the skin and really primes the skin for a smooth base for makeup. It has a faint smell that is not overpowering. When I put it on my face, I really notice the illumination effect and dewy look that it gives. The only thing is after using it everyday for 3 weeks, I could feel my skin feeling a bit oilier. I subsequently decreased my usage of it from daily to about 3 or 4 days a week and my skin seem to be reacting well to it. It could be due to my skin being combination/oily that this happened. All in all though, I still like this strobe cream for the brightening and illumination effect with its smooth application.

Tips: A little goes a long way so there is no need to squeeze too much of it on one application.
Strobe Cream. The name says it all, especially in a time where strobing seems to be the hottest makeup trend. I had heard about this product well before this trend set it, because it seems to be a product everyone refers to as their 'holy grail'.
Well firstly i have this product in both the sample size and the big bottle, but have only used the small one at this stage which comes in a soft plastic squeeze tube with a black flip top lid.
The strobe cream is a white luminous cream, and its quite thick, with a silky buttery feeling to it. Plus i love how it smells. It has a clean smell, and reminds me of soap, which i know sounds gross, but i love it.
This product is easy to apply onto skin, a little goes a long way, and the product spreads like a dream. Quickly hydrating skin, and giving it a luminous glow. However, by the end of the day, i really cannot seem to notice the glow, so its not as long-wearing as i would have hoped.
However, in saying that i tend to only use this product in a primer form, and im sure if i mixed it into my foundation, that would increase the glow, and how long it lasts. Plus i could also dab it onto of my cheekbones for an extra highlight, which is another great thing about this product. It can be used it so many ways.
Overall, i love the effect this product gives me skin, and will continue to use this product. But i might start layering it up more for longer wear, and for when i want to do the strobing look
I finally purchased this at duty free since I hesitated on splurging on this cult product. I'm glad I did though because I really like it.
It did take me a while to learn how to apply and use this on my face but after a few trials, I have found a way that works well. I apply this after my primer and under a cc cream and foundation. I find that it really gives me a nice glow without looking like a disco ball. It really brightens the face and gives me a dewy look.
The formula is quite think though and I only use a tiny bit. I don't like the packaging/bottle though. It's hard to squeeze the product out at times.
Overall, I think this is a great product. I'm not sure if I'll spend the $$ on it when I run out of my current one though. Maybe at a discounted price again but not for the NZ price at counter. It is pricey.
I have quite oily skin, so I would normally avoid strobe creams at all costs to avoid looking greasier than deep fryer, but I was gifted this so had to give it a go. I wore this under my foundation (on it's own it was too much for my oily face) every day for several months. The glow this provides is stunning! It provided such a beautiful glow to my skin, without making me look greasy or oily. I also liked to apply this to my decolletage as well if I was going out at night, and it looked amazing. This blends nicely, and a little goes a long way, so the steep price tag isn't too unreasonable. This was quite hydrating as well which made it pleasant to use. I also liked to mix this with my foundation sometimes to lighten it, and make my foundation super glowy. The only downside for me, was this did tend to give my whiteheads and break me out a bit, but this might just be because I have oily skin, and those with different skin types might fare better than me. Despite this giving me the odd whitehead, I thought this made my skin glow and look amazing, and I'd happily use it again.
Expensive, but worth the pennies if your foundation looks flat and tired. It instantly illuminates your skin and gives it a nicer base to put your foundation on.
I love the MAC strobe cream when my skin is a little tired. It really gives my skin a little glow and extra moisture, especially when I need to put my makeup on in a hurry. This is definitely a staple in my makeup collection.
Perfect to use if you don't have a primer, personally I think it improved my foundation wear and it creates a discrete glow to the skin. Its quite moisturising and doesn't make the skin oily or break out. It's quite pricy and expensive but worth it in the end as it does what it says it does!
Tips: Make sure you have washed you face before you put on,
Perfect to use if you don't have a primer. It does create a slight glow to the skin. Its quite moisturising and doesn't make the skin oily or break out thankfully. It does sell from MAC so don't rely on it to be cheap, but defiantly worth it!
Tips: Make sure you cleanse your face before you apply the product!
I bought this product for it's subtle 'dewy skin' effect, to use underneath and on top of my MAC foundation. It's secondary benefits are the moisturising ingredients which work quite well.
The only thing I don't like is this blocks the pores on my nose, but only when it's quite hot and humid outside.
This stuff is great for priming your skin before makeup. The pearly finish gave my skin a subtle glow and kept it moisturised. Granted, it is a bit on the pricey side but worth it.
Tips: I usually apply a tiny bit onto my brow bone, for an extra highlight.
