La Roche-Posay® Toleriane Duo Reviews

I was so pleasantly surprised by the Toleriane Ultra moisturiser and Eye Contour.

The packaging is very clinical - it looks like prescriptive skincare, very flash. Both pumps come in a box packed with information in English and French.

The products are hermetically sealed, which means there's no need for preservatives, and there's no chance of oxidation or contamination. This alone sets them apart from other sensitive skin products.

I used these products while having a bit of a hayfever/pollen related episode. My eye area was dry and flakey, and so irritated. The eye cream was just lush to use - so soothing and healing, my eyes felt better after the first use, and after twice daily use for 2 days they were back to normal.

Both products apply evenly and smoothly and absorb really quickly.

The moisturiser leaves skin smooth and creates a great base for makeup.

I think the price is pretty fair for such well formulated products and if you do have sensitive skin you really should give them a try.

First, the packaging. I love the pump mechanism which is explained on both boxes. It ensures no air can enter the bottle, meaning there is no need for extra preservatives in the moisturiser. What a great idea!

The daily moisturiser is probably my favourite of these two products, and the one I would consider re-purchasing. It really delivers 'ultra' moisture as the label suggests.

As a duo, the two work well together. They have helped with redness and inflammation that I have on my nose. This is significant for me because my red nose is something I'm quite self-conscious about.

I had a massive breakout all over my face before starting this trial, so for people who struggle with acne or pimples these products won't make your breakouts better or worse. At least it is good to know that this duo didn't block my skin which would have made the pimples much much worse.

Was pretty stoked when I was chosen to review these product, to seek relief for my sensitive skin. The packaging was what I would expect of a French based company – white with blue writing that still look stylish although the setout was pretty straight forward.

What is great about this formula is that it is free of preservatives such as lanolin, perfume, alcohol, colorant and parabens. I have now been using the product every morning and night and have had no irritation at all. I did however expected the texture to be thick, like other eye creams, but surprisingly this one is very light and spreads effortlessly.

To apply, I just follow the instructions printed inside the box (only saw that by accident). I just use my ring finger and gently dab the tiniest amount of product (it really goes a long way) over my eye contour and eyelid and apply a bit of pressure from the inside of my eye outwards, finishing off with added pressure over the entire eye.

For the Soothing Fluid, I have heard and read good things about this range, but was still a bit hesitant about the all-natural products. I have used some all-natural products in the past, but unfortunately, they have not even come close to what they advertised.

The soothing fluid is slightly bigger than the eye cream, but still a decent and acceptable size to travel with. I’m happy about this as we have an overseas trip coming up soon and I was freaking out about what moisturising products to pack. Pretty sure these will be great for the carry on.

It comes little twist pump that squirts just a good about of the milky light texture, that when applying with the fingers absorbs into the skin quickly, with no greasy after-feel. I could feel my skin immediately starting to calm after application and found the fluid to be hydrating and soothed the redness around my nose and cheeks.

A week later and I am glad to report that the skin around my eyes looks and feels so nice and hydrated. I love the size especially because I have some upcoming travelling and this will make it a super travel friendly and small enough to include as a carry on.

This cream is excellent, I have extremely dry skin and find it hard to get nourishing creams that do not react with my skin.this cream has cleared up the dry spots on my nose and cheeks almost completely which is so hard in the winter air. Some of the redness has died off. It melts into the skin well and does not leave any oily residue or shine. The eye cream is soft and easy to apply. It soothes and softens skin. I will continue to use the rest of the products as I think they are great. You only need a small amount to do the whole eye area and the whole face with the cream which is great value as I think they will last a long time.

Being picked for this review couldn't have come at a better time as I had just had my eye area fibroblasted two weeks earlier so my skin was ultra sensitive around my eyes and was needing a bit of extra tlc. The pump dispensing mechanism on these lightweight bottles gave the a perfect (maybe slightly generous) amount. I used one pump of the eye cream which was very soothing around my eyes and glided on easily. I don't like to skimp on the eye area. My eye area was a little itchy and prickly because of the treatment I had just had but found that over the course of the week that this helped it settle. I used two pumps of the face cream but possibly would've used three if I wasn't using the eye cream also. Again this glided on easily and spreads nicely and left my skin feeling silky. Both creams are fragrance free and don't contain nasties like parabens or alcohol so that is always a bonus for me. My skin definately seemed very hydrated after using these products and I felt that my skin seemed more clearer than usual and I did receive comments that my skin was looking good! It is a little pricey which is the downside for me but I would probably pay the extra for the benefits it seemed to give my skin

These moisturisers come in transparent sealed pump bottles that can twist to lock (perfect for travelling) and seal them from germs so harsh preservatives aren't needed. I really love the packaging and they just look so nice!

As for the formula, they are perfect for sensitive or irritated skin as there is no fragrance or any other potentially irritating ingredients. I found that my sensitive eczema prone skin loved them! The moisturisers didn't sting my eyes and absorbed very well and didn't leave any greasy residue. In the morning my face feels soft and I have noticed a decrease in redness. After looking at the ingredients I'm not surprised as they both contain squalane oil which is the only oil my face can tolerate - if you haven't heard of it before I would suggest googling it because for me it's a miracle ingredient!

The only downside to these products is the price - the face cream is $45 for 40mL and the eye cream is $40 for 20mL. I've been using them for just over a week now (morning and night) and haven't noticed any decrease in product so I'll be interested to see how long they last - if it's a few months then I will probably buy them again, or wait till they have a sale on. If not, then I'll stick with the cheaper option of pure squalane oil + Nivea soft cream!

I've really enjoyed using this two products, I think my favourite thing is the packaging, the bottle themselves aren't crazy out there, but the design concept I think is awesome, I've never seen anything like it before and it gets a huge thumbs up from me.

These two products work really well together and I love how both can be used around the eye area, they leave the skin super hydrated and give you a nice glow too. Both wear great under foundation but also nice to wear alone.

I have noticed a difference in the hydration of my skin since using these and also am glad to say I have had no flare ups or any issues, so a huge thumbs up from me! I think I could take or leave the eye cream, but I am definitely in love with the face cream!

The packaging is nice and simple with the boxes being a good size. There is good info on both the boxes and the bottles themselves, with instructions for eye cream application on the inside of the box. Both bottles have pumps which twist and lock. I like the pump as you don't get too much at one time. The face cream is thick and creamy with minimal scent. It absorbs quickly into my skin without being greasy. It has slightly minimized the redness in my cheeks and since using I haven't has any angry red itchy patches. As a plus this can also be used around your eyes. It keeps my skin hydrated all day. The eye cream is thinner and kind of silky. This doesn't have any scent that I could smell. It reduced the puffiness around my eyes and they looked less tired. This is the first eye cream that I didn't get that stinging when you accidentally get some in your eyes. Overall I have found these two to be a great combo, and after using for just over a week, the products don't seem to have gone down much. The only downside is the price. It is out of mine and probably may others budget. However if on special I might buy it for myself.

I was lucky enough to be selected on a trial team for these products and I have to confess I'd never heard of the brand before!

The boxes have A LOT of french on them but the inside of the boxes have directions for application so that's handy.

I cant say enough good things about the bottles that the moisturiser and the eye cream come in! They are 40ml & 20ml respectively but the genius feature is the plastic bag inside the main bottle that ensures that no air gets in at all. Plus there's no sticking fingers in which I loathe!

The pump action is smooth and the tops lock easily which would be a super duper bonus when travelling.

It seems like only a little bit of actual product comes out but actually it's more than enough as a little goes a long way!

The moisturiser absorbs quickly and at first I thought it wasn't enough of a moisturiser for the dryer areas of my face but after a few minutes my skin felt amazing and I was really impressed.

The eye cream is a bit runnier than the moisturiser and come out quicker than expected, as with the moisturiser a little goes a looooong way so don't be tempted to do more than one pump!

At first I didn't think the eye cream was doing much for me, after a few days my eyes didnt seem to be any brighter or tighter but after a week of being a good girl and applying morning and night I could see a difference, To be fair, it was a week of terrible sleep, not enough water and eating like crap so it was certainly an uphill battle!

The price of these products may put them a little out of everyday use for a lot of people but I would definitely recommend the splurge.

All in all a thumbs up from me for both products & I'd recommend trying them together!

i love that these products do not have any fragrance my skin is very sensitive to fragrance and these do a perfect job of not breaking me out. the eye cream feels amazing under my eyes and is so hydrating. the moisturizer leaves my skin looking so pump. when using these together it is such a lovely combination.
