Low foam cream cleanser

It has a nice creamy consistency and I like the clean eucalyptus scent. I don't find it too strong and it does dissipate eventually.

The cleanser is low foaming which I think is gentler and doesn't leave my face feeling tight and dry after use. I feel like my face does stay matte for longer.

Tips: I would recommend using a face cloth or something similar to work the cleanser if you want a more thorough clean.

So gentle!

When I received the package I automatically started to panic a little bit when I realised I was also going to do the trial for the face wash. I actually don't have a great history with face washes and tend to end up going back to micellar water because it just doesn't dry my parched cheeks out.

I took a deep breath regardless and popped it into my shower the day I received it ready for use the next day. I noticed as I went to pop it in that it says soap free so automatically I thought "this might be it!"

The scent: It smells lovely and fresh. Looks like it'll be minty with its green colour but no just a nice fresh scent.

It is very creamy but it doesn't foam which is fine. It has a gel clay texture and actually reminded me a lot of the Pixi gycolic clay wash which I LOVE for the summer months but don't currently have.

I smoothed it over my face and gave it a good massage before washing it off with very lukewarm shower water before I jumped out.

My skin felt very smooth and not tight which is usually what happens when I use a face wash. My serums and moisterisers went over very well and my skin didn't get as oily through the t zone.

I've used it again for the past 4 days and haven't had any further drying. I give this one a big thumbs up if you have combo skin like mine!

Fabulous purifying creamy wash!

This creamy wash has a lovely eucalyptus smell and comes in an attractive tube which makes application simple. Once you've dampened your skin, you massage it in a circular motion and then rinse off.

It was easy to use and you don't need a lot for it to work it's magic! I have oily skin, especially around my nose and found that it helped reduce the excess oil on my face and left it feeling clean and soft. It didn't dry my skin out like others which was a bonus! This is a now part of my skin care regime as it's quick and easy to use and extremely effective. I would definitely recommend for those with oily skin.

My first Clay Cleanser

There are many things I liked about this product.

Firstly the packaging - the tube is generous in size, labeling is clear, and the flip lid is easy to use. The product itself is thick and easy to apply, instructions are clear. Washes off easily when ready. I like the soft eucalyptus scent. I felt my skin was cleansed & ready for my next steps.

For $14.99 at Farmers, I think this is good value for money. In terms of reducing oil, I think it cleared it away for a while, but I definitely noticed an oily t-zone yesterday afternoon. I have been using it every evening for a week.

Tips: Avoid your eyes - so dont use it as a makeup remover.

mud cleansing to reduce oil

I was super excited to receive this trial, The pure clay wash claims to provide a deeper cleanse to detoxify the skin and reduce oil/shine.

it's marketed as a gel-type cleanser, however I would say it is more of a thick body wash consistency. it is quite dense and the colour is what you can see in the peep area on the bottle ( a soft green) the bottle is a decent size at 150ml and would last a decent 4-6 weeks even if used daily making it value for money! I used it all over my face 4 times in a week and it hasn't put a dent in the tube yet! you could also only use this in certain areas if you were looking to target problem areas such as oily nose or tighten cheek pores. the scent is a strong eucalyptus scent but isn't overpowering and doesn't tingle/sting the skin when applied, however I did find it hasn't reduced the oil/sebum on my nose, so I will continue to use for a longer period of time and edit my review to update about this. my pores do seem smaller, however I will update on this issue. I did feel that my skin felt a bit dehydrated after using this product so I would recommend using a night moisturizer if you felt the same.

overall, I really like the easy to use design of the bottle and the back that it fitted into my travel bag with ease. would regularly as a cleanser/toner.

Tips: I used to remove my make-up on lazy evening and it worked super well! just remember to cleanse properly, dried quickly so could be used as a mini mask also

Refreshing

I have really enjoyed using this face wash because it is so refreshing. My skin looks bright and glowing once I am finished. The cream it's self is quiet thick and while creamy it does have a gel like consistancy and you can really smell the Eucalyptus in the formula. It foams very lightly so don't expect lots of bubbles. As you can't use this on your eye area you will need to use a make-up remover first and then relax at the end of your night with this face wash, that feels just like a bit of luxuary. I really like the packaging in mint green which has a see through section which you can see the cream inside the tube which is the same mint green. It looks pretty standing on my bathroom counter.

The only downside is that I can't say I have seen a significant change in my skins oilyness. I wear make-up everyday for work and I still notice that shine in my T zone, but I am hopeful this will reduce over time, however I would continue using this for the way my skin feels and looks after each wash.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Purity Wash - Review

I was super excited when I was picked to trial this as I have a very oily t-zone and get the occasional breakout as well. So thank you very much BR for this amazing opportunity once again! Anyway, this face wash can be found at Farmers, The Warehouse, and supermarkets nationwide for $14.99. It comes in a squeezy tube with 150ml of product which I think is very decent for the price as you only need a tiny pea sized amount per use.

The product itself is a light green shade, it looks quite similar to the mud mask that is also part of the same range. It has quite a thick consistency, almost that of a mud mask and I'm sure in a pinch it could probably double as one too. It smells very nice, like eucalyptus and almost tea. I found it cleansed my skin well and left it feeling soft and clean, but not too dry - this is very important for me as I tend to get small dry patches and they only worsen when I put makeup over them as it clings. This prevented that from happening, while still cleansing my skin well. However I didn't notice it reducing my breakouts, I still got the occasional few pimples and it also had no noticeable effect on blackheads.

Overall, I would recommend this mask to those who have oily skin and are looking for a good face wash to use daily. It cleansed my skin well, but didn't dry it out. If you like the smell of eucalyptus you will love this, however it doesn't have any tingle to it. The tube comes with a decent amount of product which will definitely last me a long time (with daily use even) and isn't too expensive to repurchase. I do have other favorites but would definitely consider repurchasing this when I run out of it.

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity Wash

I received this as apart of the Beauty Review Trial team.

It comes in a large green squeeze tube (150mls of product) which I feel is pretty standard cleanser packaging. The colour is nice and a little different. I do feel this is very classic L'Oreal packaging which is great! You do get a large amount of product which is great.

The wash itself is a thick, green (I assume from the clay?) cream. It is a little thicker than your standard face wash, but it is very easy to apply and remove. You don't need a tonne of product. Around a $1 coin sized amount is sufficient. It doesn't really have a scent which is nice, although if you smell it you can detect a slight clay smell (I'm not a fan of scented products really).

I didn't really like this product to be honest, it dried my skin out (I have oily skin) and I have been battling large, painful pimples over the week I've been using this product. I can't be for certain that they were caused by this product, but its a coincidence nonetheless. After using this product I still used my normal toner and moisturizer, but found that my skin still felt very tight, where as normally it doesn't. It also didn't really seem to clean my skin very well, I noticed no reduction in impurities or imperfections (I got more pimples!). I also didn't find that it helped my complexion at all. The one thing it did do was reduce my oil. I found using this product I didn't get oily throughout the day which was great (and this products saving grace!). Due to my lack of oil, but skin tightness, I think this product stripped my skin but didn't actually clean it.

I used it morning and night, so perhaps I was using it too much? but the skin tightness was mostly directly after I used it. Every day I woke up with a new pimple, which is why I think it was stripping my skin (and my skin was over producing oil to compensate).

I know you are meant to use skincare for a month before you decide whether a product is worth continuing to use, but I honestly couldn't wait for this trial to be over so I could go back to my normal cleanser. Maybe if you had more normal skin it might work? (I think the oily you are, the worse your experience with this product will be). Sorry L'Oreal, even though this wash did a nice job at controlling my oil through out the day, the fact that this made my skin tight and pimply means I won't recommend this for oily skin and I won't continue to use this now that the trial has ended.

Tips: I don't recommend this for oily skin, if you do use this make sure you have a good moisturizer as this will strip your skin. I also wouldn't recommend using it more than once a day

Super soft unclogged skin

I was super excited to trial this product as there was a lot of hype surrounding it and it definitely lives up to the hype. I have very oily skin with quite clogged pores and a lot of blackheads. I've been using this product daily for a week and have noticed a massive difference in my skin.

The product comes in a pretty pastel green tube which is deceptively large as this only contains 150mL of product. The cleanser is a runny cream cleanser, pale green in colour with a very strong eucalyptus scent. I didn't mind the scent but it is incredibly strong so I would steer clear if you are not a fan of strong scents. The cleanser was a bit runny which means it did get a bit messy and sometimes run off my hands onto the basin, but that's the only real negative thing I can say about this cleanser. It's gentle, and washes off easily. Despite being a mattifying cleanser, it managed to mattify my skin and hydrate it too. After every use my skin was left feeling super soft, hydrated and looking less oily. I've noticed a reduction in breakouts since using this. My skin has been less oily which has given me much better make up days, with my foundation not going super oily and reflective by lunch time. Overall this cleanser was a dream, improving all my skin's problems with ease, I'd happily repurchase it.

Tips: Use with the matching mask for better results.

Not so sure on this one

Let me just say! I have never tried a "clay wash" before and it was an unusual yet pleasant experience.

The product comes in a large 150ml pastel green tube which is a great amount!! It says it is soap free which is great too, however it says foaming cleanser, which it didnt do at all.

It does say on the back of the tube however "if irritation occurs reduce the frequency of the wash" and i definitely agree that this is not a daily wash. Maybe once or twice a week as i feel it dries the skin out a bit too much, perhaps even stripping the skin so frequent use would over stimulate the skin to produce more oil I feel even after a moisturiser it was still dry. This would be great for incredibly oily skin though.

It is great paired up with the mask as well, i tried both products with my girlfriends and they agreed that it was quite drying but liked it.

I probably wouldnt purchase this as my skin is not oily enough for it but considering my skin is sensitive this did okay!

Tips: Limit usage to once or twice a week.
