GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Sheer BB cream

I was really looking forward to trying this out as I was looking for a light everyday BB cream that works well for my oily skin. So I had high hopes for this Oil-free product.

First of all I have Oily-Combo skin, so even after powder finish most I still get very shiny and oily skin after a few hours of wear.

The packaging is sleek and easy to use BUT the consistency of the BB cream was really runny, so it was quite a mess when I used it for the first time. I made the mistake of squeezing it and it went everywhere. So the next time I used it, I had to be careful and hold the tube upright.

With the runny consistency it made the application really easy and smooth. I applied it when my fingers and then buffed it into my skin with a brush. And I am pleased with the finish and coverage. However it was very dewy and felt quite 'wet'. So I had to use powder to set it in place.

The scent of the product is quite subtle and nice, but the product did not last very long. After about 4 hours into the day, my face started to get very shiny and I could feel it slip and slide everywhere.

Although it has a very dewy finish so it gives your skin a healthy glow, it was still too oily for me which I didn't enjoy. Which means I have to regularly touch it up with powder to avoid looking like a greasy ball.

Another minor point was the colour, I asked for the colour medium because from the swatches online the light colour seemed too pale for me. The shade medium was way too dark and orange for me but I used it anyway because I want to test it out. It would be great if Garnier could bring out more colours.

Overall, I think this is a genuinely good product. It might suit other people who prefers the dewy finish makeup look. The price and quality of the product is acceptable, I would use this sometimes but it would not suit as an everyday BB cream for me.

Tips: Powder off your face after application. You could skip putting on SPF with this product as it has SPF 15.

Still searching for my dream BB Cream

I was super excited to try out the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream after hearing amazing things about it, and hoping it wasn't just hype! In the past I had tried several BB creams in the hope of finding one that suited my skin perfectly. Unfortunately, this product isn't it.

First of all, I do LOVE the packaging which it comes in. I think the slim, stylish tube is so pretty, and I really like how easy it is for application.

The consistency of the BB cream is lovely, and it applied to my skin smoothly and with a good amount of coverage. It was only very slightly dewy, and I personally would not feel the need to top it off with powder or concealer at all. This is a great alternative to foundation in terms of the consistency and overall appearance once applied. Streak-free, flawless and pretty.

I only have two main problems with this product. The first is the scent; something about is clinical, somehow, and a definite turn off. My second problem is that despite this product being the lightest shade in the range, it still seemed way too dark for my skin tone. This could potentially be remedied by applying a light powder over the top, but on its own I definitely disliked the tone of this product.

Tips: If you've got genuinely porcelain skin like me, avoid this product! It is very unsympathetic to pale girls.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream -

I have used a Garnier BB cream before and i didnt like it at all was thick and had a real orange colour so i was very excited to try this new one.I tried the BB cream for oily/ combination skin. I was very surprised with the consistency of it was much more light and runny and it glided onto my skin wonderfully. The shade was not as orange either. But that's where is really stops there. I found that it doesn't really stay on the skin very well so half way through the day my skin was very patchy and made my skin very glossy and oily looking. I have also noticed I have had quite a lot of break outs since using the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I do however liked how it covered up those blemishes nicely, and maybe it was just coincidental that I happened to breakout whilst using this product. It would be very interesting to read what everyone else says about this product to see if they had the same results as I did.

Tips: Have your BB cream handy for touch ups during the day.

Excited to try, but not what I expected it to be

Upon opening the screw top lid, the liquid ran everywhere! All over the lid, hands... I didn't know how runny the formula would be. Otherwise, the packaging is sterile with a nozzle tip. I tried this first on my hand, as a sensitive skin precaution, and the colour was noticeably orange (medium shade). On my face, definitely orange as well, though a little less obvious. The smell isn't too much of an issue and the coverage was quite sheer for me, on the lower end of a BB cream coverage.

Tips: If you do decide to buy it, tilt the container upside down before opening!

A great product for oily/combo skin!

I was excited to try this product, as I have used BB creams in the past which felt very greasy on my skin. As someone with combination skin, a lot of BB creams tend to slide around and become quite patchy after only a few hours of wear. This one is not greasy at all! It absorbs oil and stays in one place which is fantastic. The packaging is really nice and sleek, and you get quite a lot of product in the bottle. The formula is quite liquidy, and I've found it most easy to apply with a foundation brush. I would say that the coverage probably isn't quite enough for me, and comes across a little too pink-toned. This BB cream might be better for someone with pink undertones to their skin, and people that don't need/want as much coverage. For those reasons I probably won't repurchase this product. However the non-greasiness is an absolute win!

Tips: When applying with a brush, make sure you blend it in quite a lot, as this BB cream is quite thin and can go on streaky. Once blended though, it looks great!

Garnier BB Cream - Oil Free

I was excited to try this BB cream as I have tried others in the past but they all left my face like an oil slick so this one sounded perfectly suited to my skin type.

I received this product in the light shade as I have fair skin but this product was still very orange on me.

It comes in a nice sleek tube with a nib that the products runs out. This product is quite runny so be careful.

The product applies nicely to the face, easy to blend out with a sponge and has a nice matte finish that covers some blemishes but still a natural looking finish. The product has a nice light fragrance that isn't overpowering. The 40ml tube is great value for money as you don't need a lot of product.

Overall I did like this product but it needs to be in a lighter shade for me so will be giving it to a friend to try.

Tips: Use along with concealer for a fuller coverage look.

Be careful opening this product is a very runny liquid and will come out of the tube fast.

BB Oil-free Cream

I found this product quite watery compared with other BB creams. I felt I had to put on a little more than normal to get a good coverage. It didn't seem to stay on all day and had to touch up during the day. It certainly felt very nice on my skin, very light. I found the colour was perfect.I only received the product on Thursday 12th so I haven't had a lot of time to play with this product.

Tips: Don't squeeze the tube too much because the product is watery and comes out quickly!

Oil-free BB cream

I received this in "Light" from BR.

My skin: oily, large pores on my nose and inner cheeks and some icepick scars from acne, and some post-inflammation hyperpigmentation. Now that it's winter, my skin isn't quite as oily but still gets a bit shiny through makeup during the day, depending on what I use.

Shade range: I've used "Medium" in the past and still have half a tube on hand - it's ever so slightly too dark for my currently NC30 skin tone. "Light" is just a little too light. "Medium" works well on my forehead, and I mix the two for the rest of my face.

Texture: it just flows out the tube so you have to be careful when dispensing it. I wish it came with a pump! It spreads easily if I'm using it on top of moisturiser, which I have been doing because I find that otherwise it dries a little too fast and clings to any dry or flaky patches, particular on/around my nose or blemishes.

How I use it: moisturise with the Olay Complete All-Day Moisturiser SPF for Oily to Combination skin, and work the BB cream in while it's still damp. Otherwise I find that the BB cream can emphasize my pores and dry patches as mentioned above.

I tried it as a primer and the foundations I tried on top just seemed to cake on and grip even more to any dry patches I had (YSL Teint Touche Eclat, Giorgio Armani Maestro, Clinique Pore Perfecting foundation).

Coverage: It's pretty light coverage - it won't cover dark circles or blemishes but it evens out skintone. I do find that because the coverage is quite sheer, it won't be too much of an issue if you are fairly close to the colour. It's a shame that there is such a limited shade range. "Light" would be about NC20-25, and the "Medium" about NC35 in MAC terms, so I think it would be pretty hard for the very pale and very dark skinned to find a match.

It dries to a powder finish and I find that it emphasises all the texture in my skin -- the pores, the sebaceous filaments, the bumpy texture due to old acne. Also, on its own I find that I get much shinier than I do when I use it on top of my moisturiser. My theory is that it's actually pretty drying so my skin overcompensates by producing more oil, but who knows. It might be good for the very oily to use on its on but of course your mileage may vary.

Does it do what it says on the tin? Shine control and matte finish: no shine control, dries to a matte powdery finish.

Reduces pores: emphasizes mine. They are pretty big though!

Corrects blemishes: it's pretty light coverage and my blemishes and pigmentation still show through.

Evens complexion: yes

Hydrates: not on me, seems to dry my skin out.

UV protection SPF15: I assume so!

I think this would only work on me on good skin days where I didn't have a lot to cover (or don't care), and if I were very oily with absolutely no dry patches or fresh open spots (sorry, gross).

Apologies for the novel. I think there are probably better tinted moisturiser-type products out there for me.

Tips: Try it with and without a day cream underneath -- might make all the difference! Unfortunately it's not an all-in-one for me.

Forgot to mention: I find this quite hard to remove. Even off my hands when I've freshly applied it! Needs an oil-based remover and a bit of a scrub.

Garnier BB

I actually typed up and posted this review on Saturday, but it doesn't seem to have gone through, so I will try again, hopefully I can remember it all!

I was very keen to try this BB cream as I absolutely loath the original one, so when BR offered it up, I jumped at the chance.

The first thing I noticed about this BB cream is its consistency, it is very, very runny (similar to my Bourjois CC cream). You need to be careful when using it as it will leak all over your counter top. It has a pleasant fragrance, hard to describe it really, but not overpowering.

It promises to give a full matte coverage, but I would say it is a medium matte coverage. Still pretty good for a BB cream. I used x1 pea sized amount for medium coverage, and built it up to full coverage with x1 pea sized amounts if required. The consistency meant it was really easy to apply and it blended out nicely with no patches. I just apply it with my hands like I would my moisturiser.

It also claims to hide imperfections, which it did to to a certain extent, but I still needed a concealer for any stubborn spots, and for under my eyes. As far as its claim to "reduce pores" I think that is near on impossible, your pores are your pores you can't do much to change them, but the product does gloss over them temporarily while you're wearing it.

I did find that after using this for a week that I actually broke out, so will stop using it for a while and see if my face clears up. I also found that it stung my eyes right after I applied it, which is unusual for me, beauty products don't usually affect my eyes at all. It is a shame I've broken out as I wouid like to test it for the full 4 weeks to see if it lives up to its other claims of less oily skin and more radiance.

The product has pretty good staying power, which was increased by the use of a primer. It kept up its matte finish for most of the day, which is impressive as my face is usually a bit of an oil slick by 5pm!

All in all, this products is a pretty good BB cream, and for me it is miles ahead of the original Garnier BB cream. I would recommend it to my friends who might be looking for a cheap alternative to some high end brands, but I think there are also better products on the market in the same price bracket.

Tips: Lay a tissue over your counter top when you're applying the cream, as it has a tendency to leak while the lid is off.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free

I have previously tried a BB cream by Maybelline, but I didn't like it at all and so that put me off BB cream altogether. When I heard about this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream and how it had different types in the range for different skin types, I decided to reconsider, and luckily enough, I was selected as part of the trial team for the Oil-free SPF 15 type.

I have oily/combination skin, so my face can get rather oily in some areas whereas other areas can be quite dry. I have the most problems with my T-zone where it gets oily the most. During the day, I have to blot my T-zone to get rid of excess oil, otherwise those areas look super shiny (not a good look!). I usually powder on top of my foundation to try and matte out my oily areas, but it doesn't last very long during the day.

I like how this BB Cream does leave a soft matte finish, so it kind of eliminates the shiny oily look on my face. The consistency of the BB Cream is quite watery and light, which I like but also don't like at the same time - it's good that it's not thick because it means it won't weigh down on my face and block my pores, but that also means that it doesn't give complete coverage. On the other hand, I prefer to use this on days where I can't be bothered putting on foundation, so this BB Cream gives the right light coverage for a really natural look. Because it is quite runny, I have accidentally squeezed out more than I needed from the tube, which I didn't like because it ends up in product wastage. However, the product is easy to blend out when you apply it. The packaging is probably the most easiest for a product like that though, as a jar container would probably push up the cost as well as making it harder to keep something with a runny consistency in. I find that the product lasts a few hours before I still find my face going shiny and oily again. Removing the product is also easy as it is so light on the skin.

I didn't like how they only had two colour options for this BB Cream, as some people may not fall specifically into one of the two categories, so this made it hard for me to decide what colour to get at first. I chose the 'Light' colour and I think it was actually the right choice!

I would love to find out whether this BB Cream does help in reducing pore size, imperfections, and making my skin less oily, as the product also says that it improves the skin's quality over time after about 4 weeks. I am yet to still find out though as I've only been using it for about a week. From what I've used so far, I definitely prefer it over the Maybelline BB Cream!
