Essie Hard to Resist Advanced Strengthener

I tried this on one hand to compare the difference between nails and to be honest I ahev noticed no difference at all after a week. It says nails will show improvement within 3 days and I don't see any change in length, hardness or quality of nails on the hand I used this product on. I wouldn't buy it as I didn't see any improvement.

I find this super easy to apply and the brush was very easily applied to my nail and spread the strengthener evenly to the nail. I did find the consistency of this to be a lot thicker and rather sticky than it looked. I did find it to dry up very quickly and it did seal up over my brittle nails. I did see a difference to a few of my nails but I think to the ones of mine that are super damaged need a bit more applications and should help me more.

I found this to be great overall and will be continuing to use it and for a longer duration as in when it peels off I will be reapplying again. I don't necessarily agree that there is a massive difference after 3 days of use as it claims - my nails are definitely still damaged, weak, brittle, and flaky but I can see the benefit with more use over a longer time.

I was really excited to try the Essie nail strengthener as I’ve got damaged nails from having consistent Gel polish over the past few months, so this trial was great timing! I popped the strengthener onto my nails and they instantly felt smoother and soon felt stronger - they’ve felt a bit rough and flaky lately. The tint is easy to use, spreads well and you don’t need much to get good coverage. My nails were left shiny and not feeling like I was wearing lots of product so they felt really natural. Since using the tint I’ve noticed such a difference in the appearance and feel of my nails and they definitely seem stronger and less prone to breaking/flaking. I’ll definitely continue to use between polishes as a bit of a protectant. The strengthener worked so well I’ve even used on my toes too!

My natural nails have never been strong enough without decent strengtheners and this was great for my weak nails. My nail looked clean and healthy after applying this product and it didn't chip away at the end like others after several days. Not too sure whether it made my nails actually healthier; but it definitely made it stronger and resistant to force. Brush was a bit bigger than usual so it was easy to apply.

Easy to use use, great brush and standard packaging of their nail polishes. Instructions where simply: apply two coats to clean bare nails. I applied two coats and waited a few minutes in between applications. I recommend waiting as it does smear otherwise. Being winter it took a while to dry the full two coats (comparable to normal nail polish).

It didn’t chip or peel away after a few days like other treatment either. It held up well and will only need reapplication once a week or as required. I think it’s great for people like me who are either trying to grow their nails or have weak, short nails that break easily. Immediately after applying my nails felt stronger and I believe my nails did look visibly healthier after 3 days. There appeared to be less splitting at the nail ends which will eventually help them grow.

Overall I love the fact that you don’t need to apply this everyday like other treatments I have used before to get similar results. The smell of the nail strengthener was quite horrendous frankly so loses a point there.

I was very happy to receive a sample of Essie Hard to Resist nail polish to trial, my nails are quite weak and have a tendency to split and break just when they're getting to a nice length. I thought I'd really give this a good trial by only applying the polish to one hand and see what the difference would be at the end of ten days. Firstly about the polish itself, it applies nicely and dries very quickly, allow a bit longer for the second coat though. I love the super high gloss of the finish and I'm quite happy to wear ot without any added colour. I have been emoving and reappling a new coat every 3 days. At the end of ten days my 'polished' hand still has a full 10 days of growth without any breaks, my other hand hasn't faired so well with 2 broken nails. There is definitely a difference in strength between the two hands, with the 'polished' one definitely feeling more dense, or thicker. I'm excited to continue using the polish and seeing how it withstands a longer length of nail, currently I'm sporting quite short nails. My daughter is now eyeing up the bottle so I can see this will be well used.

My nails are currently in very poor short, soft and peeling condition, so I was so pleased that this product has exceeded my expectations! I applied two coats every two days and my nails looked clean and glossy with the product leaving a strengthened layer to my nails Then remove and repeat, my nails have started growing and my white tips are getting longer! I will continue to use.

This product promises stronger, less brittle nails in as little as three day and I was looking forward to putting this to the test as my nails are not in great shape after continuously wearing fake nails.

The polish is clear which makes it difficult to notice any chips and after applying two coats of this treatment and wearing it for a couple of weeks, there was minimal chipping and my nails felt thicker and stronger too

This product is perfect for those who have a job that doesn’t allow for colorful nail polish. and makes your nails look shiny and healthy after applying.

All in all I am happy with my experience with this product and feel that it's helped my natural nails to become stronger and less brittle.
