Not for me..

When this came into stores I had to give this a go, such a great idea incorporating the soap within the razor. I thought yay, i don't need shaving cream or body wash! However, in practise this didn't work for me. The razor and moisturising soap block is just too clunky! in order to manoeuvre it to shave your legs properly was a mission, especially around the knees. I also ended up getting a few cuts, so not a fan of this. I much prefer a plain shaving system.

Such a great idea but...

I work outdoors and as a consequence I have really dry skin on my legs at times so when this arrived in the mail to review I was really looking forward to the smooth legs that were promised. I wasn't too impressed to be honest. I think my legs were drier than before I used it and compared to my other Schick system razor that I use the cut was no where near as close. My under arms still had stubble after shaving and I did get a slight irritation after use. The fragrance was yummy though and the foam from the moisturiser felt really nice when shaving. The packaging was really easy to open and the shower holder that suctioned on to the wall was a great idea and very handy when wanting to keep sharp razors out of little people's hands. All and all I wouldn't choose this particular system again

I'm not convinced...

There were some really good things about this razor, like the formulation of the moisturising coconut milk and almond oil solid around the blades - it lathers well, smells nice and made my skin feel soft afterwards. I also got a close shave thanks to the four blades. However, I don't think I would bother buying it again. The main reason for this is that the thickness of the moisturising bar seemed to go down really quickly after only two shaves, and I think with a couple more there won't be enough left around the blades, so I'd have to start using body wash again anyway, or else change the blade, which seems excessive after only a few shaves. It's expensive enough without having to change blades every couple of weeks! It's also a huge bulky razor compared to my usual Gillette Venus, which made it feel a bit clunky to hold. And now I'm just being picky, but the colour of the razor isn't the prettiest, it looks like it's trying to be gold but is almost more of a dirty brown/mustard! So, overall I don't think I'd use again, unless perhaps I was travelling and didn't want to have to take body wash with me.

Cool concept - but I'm not completely sold

I'm more of a wax person now (I don't even own a shaver - that's how committed I am.) But in my short phase of shaving (student days - slightly lazy etc you know) I did try this shaver out, and yeah first thought was "wow this is a booty shaver!" .. at first it was kind of awkward to use... but after that I sort of liked the concept of it... I still found it unnecessary though.

Then when the soap part would run out - I was never sure if I should biff it? (Sorta thought it was a waste)

And once you get passed the novelty soap part its just a plain razor.. better than those orange bulk ones.. but nothing to get excited about. Especially after how much the replacement shaver heads cost.

Fail

Sadly there wasn't much about this product I enjoyed, the outer nourishment bar disappears quite fast and then making it contour your skin is difficult, (good concept but needs work.) I also found I got a little bit of a rash after using it when other razors I use don't :( the size is quite chunky as well, but the packaging it came in was easy to open and I loved the style of it. But sadly I won't be buying this product

Nourishment??

I found this razor almost annoying, the head was so big i wasnt sure i was getting all of the hair (which i wasnt) and trying to get the knees was almost impossible without cutting yourself, the "nourishing" soap around it always left my legs feeling dry and had to apply alot of moisturiser afterwards. Also the soap around the razor does dissapear well before the razor becomes dull. On the plus side the razors are really sharp and you get a spare head and you also get a little suction wall hanger which is always nice to stop it going slimey. All and all i personally wouldnt go out and buy one but it is quick and easy once you get used to it and its not too highly priced.

Bit of a let down - have they changed?

I haven't used one for a few years, mum used to buy them when I was in college and I thought they were going to be the bomb diggity! I was SO excited that I no longer had to lather in the shower, and risk shaving rash from where the shower water had washed away my impeccable lather. Only the surrounding moisture bar runs out far too quickly, and you can't even use it ALL. The bit holding it in hogs the last of the bar and considering the price of refills...

I suppose it would be good for people with fairer, lighter and thinner leg hair that don't have to shave as often as I feel I need to...

Tips: Don't use the cover for the shaver head - it makes the moisture bar all wet and gross. Therefore it just disintegrates and is a TOTAL waste.

Too bulky

I love schick womens razors and usually use the hydro but decided to give this a whirl. It was on special for $12. It is a beast of a razor lol so big and comes with 2 blades and a holder for in the shower.

I like the idea of the built in lather and when I saw coconut and almond oil it sounded amazing. However I found this just too tricky to use. Especially around my ankles and knee area. It did not do a good job. I have petite hands and it is just too massive for me. I must have dropped it at least 20 times and for me that is not a good razor.

I switched back to my schick hydro and it is a million times better. Am glad I tried it but just not suited for me.

Okay idea

I just brought this schick razor about a month ago and I liked it at first but then it was harsh on my legs. The soap is a good idea however, i cut my self a few times due to this razor, as the razor is to large to move around my legs. And it wouldnt last long and I had to get a new head for it. Overall I wouldnt use this razor again.
