Tips: I use a small amount of goodness chai seed oil and works wonders with this
Ive used this product for a while now, but Ive been finding it isn't as effective as it used to be - perhaps as my skin ages, its needs something a little more heavy duty? Benefits: Compact pump bottle, so no mess, and a little goes a long way. Also, it absorbs quickly, so if you don't have much time to wait between using it, and doing makeup, its very handy. Downside (for me anyway) - It used to be effective for me when I had dry areas of skin, but doesn't seem to work any more. So for me, although its a product I like, its probably time for me to say good bye to it.
Tips: Don't pump too much - normally 1 or 2 pumps will be enough.
I originally used this moisturiser before it changed. The new moisturiser does not agree with my skin. It feels slimy and sits on my skin and does not absorb as well as the old one. I went in to see a Clinique specialist at Farmers and she told me that the old one was not coming back and that this was the right product for my skin. I continued using this product for a couple of months but realised that it definitely was not the right product for me.
Tips: Try a tester before purchasing a full bottle of this moisturiser.
I have combination skin, during winter, my cheeks get really dry and flaky, not that I was expecting this product to work miracles but it did absolutely nothing for me. It made me T-zone more oily and my cheeks continues to shed skin (yuck!). The formula is quite light, so I would expect this to work better on those who have normal skin I guess.
This iconic yellow lotion is part of the three-step skin care regime invented by Clinique. It doesn't have much of a fragrance and it doesn't break out my skin. It's a medium weight. It doesn't feel very heavy and it absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. That being said, I've had moisturizers that absorb in less than five minutes but this takes about a good 10 for me. I did not use it as part of the three-step, so this could be why absorbtion was a little slow.
The moisturizer is the third step, and before it, comes cleansing and toning based on your skin type. You could probably use your own cleanser and toner. This moisturizer very comfortable on my skin.
It will relieve any tightness you have and does what it supposed to do. The reason I don't give it more stars, is because it is a classic without much change. It seems to be the same formula that I used in the early 90s. To me, others companies research and development have gone beyond this formulation. There are probably better moisturizers by Clinique out there than this one. I think it is still so popular because it is a classic. If you need a no frills basic moisturizer, then this is the one for you.
Tips: Try this with Clinique's other two steps based on your skin type from a consultation with one of their representatives for best results. Apply this before powder foundation so that the powder melts into your skin.
This moisturizer is always on the list of cult classics however, I personally feel it's extremely overrated. I find this moisturizer really oily and whenever I've used it I've ended up with clogged pores and really noticeable oily skin. My skin does tend to be on the oily side anyway so perhaps this is better for people with dry skin. This seems to be a product that really polarizes people - you either love it or hate it! At the end of the day, there are much better moisturizers out there for a lower price
I got a bottle of this from my sister for a birthday, and I so wanted to love it because for some reason I fell irreconcilably in love with the shape and colour of the bottle. Unfortunately, that was it for the love affair with this product. My skin is always dry, and I always need gentle but super moisturising products to address that. The more I used this, the drier my skin seemed to get and in the end I gave up. It might just be my skin, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with problematic dryness - I think it might just be too harsh for us delicate ones!
This moisturizer didn't suit my skin... I had a lot of break outs and my skin was very oily when using it
They've been making this moisturiser for decades and it appears they haven't changed the ingredients or packaging. It must have a loyal following, but I reckon moisturisers have come a long way ... it's think and yellow and expensive, and is supposed to be used with toner which people don't really do anymore - remember the old 3 step cleanse, tone, moisturise.. do they still sell that yellow cake of soap in a green container to wash your face? When I was 15 that was the pinnacle of luxury skin care to me :-)
Tips: If you aren't already a loyal user why would you?
I have used this for many years. usually get it through duty free as it is fairly pricey. It soaks in quickly and allows me to use other products fairly quickly afterwards. Never had a reaction to this.
Tips: Buy duty free to save!
