Very nice

Very nice nail polish. Simple color but easy to apply. High quality and reliable. Still a bit expensive though but worth it if you use it all the time and use up the whole bottle.

Average - nothing special

This colour is a bit "meh" - it's fine for putting on your nails, but I prefer my nudes to have a bit of translucency - this colour is very thick and matte, and is a bit greyish for my liking.

Tips: Get a glossy nude which is slightly transparent for lovely nude nails!

Love the colours

I have a few of the colours from Revlon in my collection, always tempted by the gorgeous colours in any brand, but still not my favourite. I find the Revlon brush a little longer and not as thick so not as good a coverage, and the consistency of the polish is thinner. I find the lighter colours take 3 coats rather than 2. I would still buy when on sale as I a sucker for polish.

Good

Used this at ragamuffin this year - the black coats nice & smoothly & isn't gluggy at all. It did chip after 2 days as I didn't apply a top coat, but the colour is bold - would buy again with a top coat.

Revlon Nail Enamel

I don't mind Revlon nail polishes. I find them to be a bit 'thin' or 'watery' if you will, which makes them hard to apply evenly.

Tips: Ensure you have a base coat on for a more even application.

It's okay

It doesn't dry up fast, and the colour pay off to some colours are not that great. Also, it seems that every time I put 2 layers of it, it doesn't seems to dry up at all.

Revlon Top Speed - Royal

I snapped this vibrant blue up at Postie as it was on sale and I thought it was an interesting colour. The first thing I noticed about this polish was the smell! It smells like rotten eggs so I thought it had gone off (if that's possible) but after Googling it, I found that it seems to be a smell particular to this colour for whatever (off-putting) reason. Along with the horrible smell, the polish itself is extremely runny and thin (but it does dry quickly as advertised). It needs at least two coats to have it looking good, and a top coat is a must if you want it to last a week or more. I didn't use a base coat with this one and surprisingly it didn't stain my nails. All in all, I've continued to use this colour because I like it but the actual formula of the polish is really weird and not too pleasant to use as the smell is nearly overpowering and does tend to linger.

Tips: Needs a top coat to keep it looking good and chip-free.

Great colour - not so great lasting

I have a few polishes from Revlon. They usually cost somewhere between $6-$10. And that's sale prices. Which to me is expensive. It dries pretty quick which is great. But chips THAT DAY without wearing a top coat. I've bought polish for $3/$4 and it lasts nearly a week without chipping and top coating. I have a gold Revlon polish and it is very pigmented and love how vibrant it is. I have indents on my thumb nails and when I apply this colour they practically disappear! LOVE that. My partner has quite a sensitive nose especially when it comes to nail polish. But Revlon has a more "tolerable" smell he reckons. (With the few colours I have that is). Some of the darker colours from Revlon are quite putrid. Turn off. Great brush and the liquid is easy to apply. Comes off real easily too with polish remover. Overall good polishes.

Tips: Definitely need to use a top coat.

Stains fingers.

I have a Revlon Nail Enamel in a really nice red colour which was given to me as a gift.

I have used it both on natural nails and acrylics. The nailpolish itself is really good, its smooth, the brush is easy to apply and gives good coverage.

I have had this for many years and it still is of best quality and hasnt become clumpy however there is one feature which sometimes stops me using it. It stains your fingers.

Whenever I try to take this off it stains all around my fingers/nails and wont come off no matter what, it looks ugly and stays there for a day or so. As I have a dark red its really obvious and probably doesnt show up as much on lighter colours on your fingers.

Revlon Nail Enamel

Revlon's Nail Enamel is a good, basic polish. I love nail polish and have this in several shades. The formula applies evenly and dries quickly. I wouldn't say it lives up to it's claim of lastability, maybe if you're a LOT gentler on your hands than me! Even with a top coat and base coat I did find it lasted an average length of time. What I do really like about the formula is how long it stays well in the bottle. I've had some of mine for more than a few years and the formula is still as smooth as ever, which I can't say about some more expensive polishes. I think if you're after a quick pop of colour then Revlon does the job fine, and I would use again.

Tips: Keep your polish in a cool place (the fridge works great if you have space!) as this keeps the formula lasting longer.
