Another Manicare Product That Ticks All The Boxes

"Ewww that stuff stinks, can you at least do that outside?" Are the words that normally leave my husbands mouth when it's time to pull out the nail polish remover. Not with Manicare Nail Polish Remover Pads. Specifically the Limited Edition Floral Scented pads. They smell very moreish, delicate and not at all chemically. I'll start from the outside and work my way in. The packaging is stunning and incredibly convenient. The compact size and screw top seal makes them perfect for your handbag or the car without the worry of them leaking everywhere. The light fragrance is a pleasant surprise in comparison to other nail polish removers which hit the nostrils no less than a bottle of pure methylated spirits! The manicare pads are delicately scented, so nicely I would go as far to say I intentionally kept smelling them. Thin but mighty! The pads are very thin, but super resilient. I really put them to the test and removed five layers of polish, two of which were glitter, and we all know how much of a challenge glitter polish is to remove. Am I right ladies? In total I used three pads and my nails came out pristine and clean, not one spec of glitter to be seen. Normally after removing any nail polish with standard removers I have to scrub my hands several times to remove the potent odor & get rid of the chemicals on my skin. Then I have to apply cuticle oil and a mountain of moisturizer. Not with the manicare pads. These babies smell so good, and if that wasn't enough, they actually moisturize and nourish your nails and delicate cuticles too. My nail beds are lovely and shiny and there is zero chemical damage or flaking anywhere on my nails. I'm now on the hunt for the coconut pads as well so I can have some for the car for last minute hospital shifts and fast removal, as well as some for my handbag. This product is effective, affordable and beautifully put together - the smell, the packaging. Everything screams convenience here. Hats off to you Manicare, this lovely product might be small, but it ticks all the nail care boxes xxx Thanks for the trial opportunity BR xx

Manicure Nail Polish Remover Pads

I received this product for trial in the floral scented variant. There is a subtle, inoffensive floral scent to it. At the end of the day though, we're still dealing with a solvent here and I’m okay with that. The scent is a bit of a novelty but not something that’s essential for me when I’m looking for a nail polish remover.

The packaging is compact and practical. They come in a small white container with a secure screw top lid which should hopefully prevent the pads from drying out. I llike that it doesn’t take up much space on my already overlloaded dressing table!

Really though, nail polish remover is one of those essential basics that I don’t often put as much thought into as the polishes I choose. What’s most important to me is that they get the job done without too much effort on my part. These pads took off my black and dark brown polishes without a fuss. It takes about 2-3 pads on my nails to take them all off depending on the length of my nails. I guess that would work out more expensive over time. There are 32 pads per container and I never go out without painted nails.

I found the process a little messy, but I am used to using express remover containers with the sponges inside. Ultimately though nail polish is messy business and I’m not complaining.

I think these will be great for travel as they are small and easy to throw in your bag. I think I will keep a stash of these at home for that reason.

Tips: Just be careful when you’re first pulling them out of the container. They stick together and are thinner than you expect. The first time I used them, I grabbed three at once and started using them together without realising.

Handy & Nourishing remover

I loved trialling these nail polish remover pads! I have a few Manicare products that are favourites and hadn't tried these pads before!

The little container IS super cute. It had a lovely designer floral cover, and IS a handy size for travel and handbags when the chipped polish nails just have to go! It's also nice a nice size to sit in a cupboard/drawer rather than the big bottle of polish remover and a stack of cotton pads!

The scent of this one I trialled was floral and it definitely smelt more floral than the normal nail polish remover. It actually didn't smell like any polish remover I'd smelt before. It was also acetone free, which is fantastic as it's not as drying on nails or skin. I didn't have dried out cuticles after using this product - a big plus!

I tried this on my fingernails with just a couple of coats of polish and a top coat, and one pad would do one hand. With red polish it got a little messy, as the oily nature of the pads seemed to transfer to skin - BUT red polish is never pretty to remove, regardless of the removal product - so these pads removed it easily, and I used a second pad to clean up the colour left and they looked great. My nails didn't feel dried out, which was great. My nails did also appear brighter, which I think is the oils left from the remover on the nail, but they did look pretty and healthy after using these pads.

If you were to paint your nails straight away you'd want to wash your hands, or use an alcohol wipe of some sort to get rid of some of those moisturising oils in the product so the next mani lasted the distance.

I also tried these pads on my toes - with some fairly heavy glitter polish going on (4 weeks old too), and these pads did struggle a bit. I would normally use an acetone remover for glitter mani's as they're incredibly difficult to remove, so I wasn't expecting the pads to pack the same punch - but I wanted to try. It did remove some glitter, but it took a lot of work and a few extra pads to get the glitter off.

All up. I like them. I like the convenience of them - you don't have to have polish and cotton pads. You don't get the 'fluff' left behind like cotton pads can leave either. They smelt surprisingly pleasant and probably the least 'chemical' smelling of the many nail products I've tried.

On nails with just straight polish or a shimmer, these pads do a fantastic job at removing polish, with just one pad per hand/foot (maybe less if it's a light mani) and you're nails and cuticles won't feel dried out afterwards which is a big plus!

Thanks BR & Manicare for a fab product to review!

Truely a life saver!

This little plastic tub of nail polish remover pads is a miracle!! They remove every trace of nail polish, all without smelling all chemically and yuck! After using these twice in the past week I think I can say I have definitely seen positive effects on my nails they seem stronger abs and not dry (like the typical acetone removers make my nails feel.)

The only possible downside is how thin the nail polish remover pads are! If you use one pad for all 10 nails it ends up becoming a little difficult by the 10th as the pad is all crumpled up in a little ball. However this is only minor.

You Nailed removing nail polish

"Floral Scent" I was very impressed with this product. The packaging is cute, it's easy to open yet secure enough that product will not come out.

The pads are very durable and will not break down or apart when using them. This product has a nice subtle floral scent to it, also it doesn't have a strong nail polish remover smell.

I tested it with 3 brands of nail polish: Revlon, Rimmel(matte) and DB. The nail polish pad removed all brands with ease. I used 1 pad and it did all 10 finger nails. There are exactly 32 pads in this product.... I know because I counted them individually one by one.

My cuticle and nails are left feeling extremely soft, smooth, Nourished and didn't strip my nail. I've never had a nail polish remover do that.

This will be fantastic for travel, brilliant to have on hand as a Beauty therapist or just to have in your bag. Because you never know!

Highly Recomend (This was tested on normal polish not gel etc.)

Love these pads!

As soon as I opened the container it was so refreshing not to be hit in the face with that age old nail polish remover smell - yuck! The pads have a sublte floral smell and I love that there is no acetone and they are loaded with vitamin E. I used one pad to take off all the nail polish on both feet. It worked a lot quicker than I thought and left my nails looking refreshed. I will never use nail polish remover again - remover pads for life :-)

Wonderful idea!

This is the first time that I have used nail polish remover pads. I was very excited to receive this. I was sent the floral scented edition of this to review.

The pads number 32 and they come in a small, round, white plastic container branded with Manicare. The container has a screw-on lid, and beneath that a foil seal to prevent the product from drying out.

I tested these pads by using them to remove 3 coats of nail polish on my fingernails, which had badly chipped-off. The first 2 coats were of a bright blue polish, and the third coat was clear with glitter particles in it. It was the ultimate test because glitter polish is very hard to remove!

These nail polish remover pads passed with flying colours. I found that each hand only required 1 pad to remove all of the nail polish. The pads are damp with remover, but they are very gentle, and easy to work over the nails of each hand. The floral scent is pleasant, and much nicer than the traditionally very chemical smell of bottled nail polish remover. The pads also promise to be moisturising, and they were! It seemed almost like they had oil in them, as they left my nails feeling soft and moisturised, instead of dry like regular nail polish remover. They do say that they contain Vitamin E.

I love these! I think they are a brilliant idea for removing nail polish, and Manicare have done an excellent job in creating them.

Wow they nailed this!

These are super neat! This little box contains 32 pads, and one pad is enough to get rid of all the polish on both hands. So if I have a different set of nails every week this'll last me over 6 months, all for $5!

The individual pads are quite thin, but hold up their integrity very well. They're well saturated with remover so I didn't have to scrub very hard at my nails. Towards the last couple fingers I did find it getting a bit more difficult to use, and that the pad felt almost soapy.

This left some sort of oil on my nails, which seemed quite gentle and moisturising, but I always wash my hands and reapply cuticle oil anyway. This would be great though for anyone who don't bother with cuticle oil after using nail-polish remover. I also noticed that the skin around my nails didn't look dried out, which I find with some cheap nail polish removers.

Another thing I really liked is the slight fragrance. Nothing more annoying than removing your nails and then having to wallow in the toxic fume smell for the whole night because it's too cold to open the windows. This barely smelled at all and afterwards I noticed my nails smelling nice and flowery! Of all the nail polish removers I've used, only the Chanel polish remover can compare to this, and even then I think this comes out on top.

The baseline: works great at removing polish, doesn't crumble apart like a cotton pad might, smells lovely, leaves nail moisturised. I'll definitely buy again once it runs out, thanks BR for introducing me to this!

pretty handy

this is my first trial so thank you beuaty review. these pads are so clever. i put them to use straight away and i am impressed.

i like the no fuss container and the size of the pads. it easily does 5 fingers or toes, maybe more if i really stretch it. theyre moist and they feel hydrating which i like.

these are easy to use, just a few wipes and the polish is gone. i liked the smell too, its much better than the usual nail polish remover smell. theyre perfect for travel too, so ill be buying them again.

Hydrating nail polish remover

The first thing I noticed was the packaging. The removal pads are kept inside an air locked circular container. A great travel size to pop into a bag. The pads have a floral scent as described on the packaging. The scent isn’t overpowering. The floral scent reminds me of my grandma’s house. No chemical smell. One pad goes a long way, able to remove nail polish from one hand effectively. This nail polish remover didn’t dry out or damage the surrounding skin of my nail beds. It was the opposite, it was super hydrating!

Tips: I love that this remover is non liquid and that there are no messy spills. I will definitely be re purchasing this product!
