MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review

This would have to be my favourite mac foundation by a long shot. I find this one has a good medium to full coverage, however it does not feel cakey and thick like other mac foundations such as studio sculpt. I don't however find the staying power is as amazing as it states, being a 'pro longer' foundation. I find after a few hours, it starts to sink into my pores, and come off around my nose and forehead area. I do love the coverage, and feel of this foundation, and it would have to be one of my favourite foundations.

There are a lot of things that I love about this foundation but some things which didn't meet my expectations. The consistency of the foundation is perfect and makes it easy to apply. I find that the application is full coverage and the colour perfectly matches my skin tone. I found that this foundation does transfer easily which I find really annoying but that's only a minor thing. I feel as though the cost is worth it. It's a long lasting foundation good for all seasons and all events. I wear it to school and work it lasts the whole time which is really good.

I love full coverage even for just daily wear, so this is the foundation I find I use most, particularly when I'm going to be wearing makeup all day as it covers all my redness and acne scars. I have oily skin and I do need to blot/powder, but only once or twice a day which I am totally okay with! It does slightly wear off my t-zone by the end of the day but blotting with a pigmented powder fixes that easily. A lot of foundations cause me to break out but this does not! I have the shade NW10 and I need to mix it with my Manic Panic white foundation to make it light enough for my fair skin, but once I do the colour is perfect :-) Overall I love this foundation a lot!

This foundation has the classic MAC look in a seamless classy glass bottle, but this time with a lid that when pushed brings the product up. I love this for efficiency and ease of use!

In my makeup routine I prep my skin with moisturiser and primer, setting myself up with the best possible base to add to the longevity of this foundation. And then I set it with some translucent/mineral powder for ultimate coverage.

It applies well, going on smoothly when applied with a stiple brush (my choice of brush and application method). It feels very velvety on my skin and has a more dewey look than MAC's Studio Fix foundation. However it has less coverage than the Studio Fix, which I find perfect for day to day wear, however if you wanted more coverage for a night out I would suggest layering on the powder to create a fuller look. It really does last me all day! I love the light feel it gives, the look, and the fact it lasts!

My go to foundation! After having really bad skin for the most part of my life i've been left with bumps and scarring! But when I discovered this foundation I fell in love! It blends on to the skin effortlessly and you can build the coverage up till you see fit! It hides my acne scarring as well as covering up the odd bump I get here and there! Love this product!

Everyone does talk Pro Longwear up but I unfortunately have found some flaws.

Don't get me wrong, it's long lasting and doesn't get patchy throughout the day. I do however, find that after a few hours the finish does get a bit tacky and doesn't look that great in photos. I love love love it however, as it does last the day.

I apply pro longwear then apply MAC mineralize liquid foundation to areas that I want high lighted. I apply it to my cheeks, chin and forehead then contour, blush and highlight as per normal. This method is how I get the BEST finish and wear out of Pro Longwear.

I was introduced to MAC Pro Longwear Foundation a few years ago when I was battling uneven skin colours and tone. This was a god send to imperfect skin when I was attending weddings in the summer. It stayed on my face and once blended looked really natural (as if I didn't need to wear a heavy foundation), it also was sensitive on my skin and didn't clog up pores. The slight annoyance I did have with it is that there is usually about half a centimetre left in the bottom of it that the pump doesn't pick up. To solve this I have had to use a small eye brush to get it all.

I brought Mac Pro long wear foundation for the first time not long ago, and I must say I'm a fan, it's a light weight foundation that still manges to give a nice coverage without a caked on over done look, it' wears well and doesnt make my skin oily.

I used this Foundation for years after discovering it, I WANTED a medium to full coverage foundation. This foundation really gives my face a glow and doesn't look oily which I love, It sets very well and blends well with blushes and bronzers. I have an pale skin tone so I use NC/NW15. As for breakouts didn't experience any with these products and I do occasionally get breakouts. make sure to use makeup remover wipes before you wash your face. I use an angled foundation brush to apply this from RT and the combo works great. This is a long lasting foundation and I have a lot of redness on my skin, which it covers. I also have combo skin, this is the best foundation I have found thus far.
