MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review

I recently got this product for my birthday and I love it already! It has really nice coverage for daytime wear and lasts ALL day - especially when set with a powder. I wear it with MAC mineralise concealer for full coverage. It goes on really easily - I usually apply with a flat foundation brush, but I'm sure it could be buffed in with a kabuki or applied with a sponge. I generally have dry skin and it seems to be quite moisturising to wear! Feels really light on the skin too

I switched to this foundation as MAC discontinued my last foundation (something which they tend to do quite a bit...) and wasn't disappointed. I was used to using foundation sticks but this transition was easy! Bought it duty free so it was cheaper than online/in-store and the sales assistant was so helpful considering I had been on my way home for 24 hours! The coverage is fantastic and blends well. Would also add that I was a bit concerned the bottle would mean it ended up all over the inside of my handbag but it was fine.

I love this foundation. By far the best one I have ever used. Although it took me few visits to MAC store to get the right color for my skin. Had to giveaway the ones didnt suit my skin tone to friends and relatives. Yes, ouch says my wallet! Hey no complaints now, I have found the right foundation with the right color to match my skin tone :) I used this product for my wedding too and everyone complimented on the flawless makeup I was sporting that didn't touch up at all. This foundation does last long. I sometime use it to work as well and it make me look fresh all day.

This is what I currently use, it was recommended to me by a make-up artist. I wear this to work and on nights out with a translucent powder over the top and it stays on all day. Enough coverage to hide imperfections but not so much that you cannot see my skin through it.

MAC Pro Longwear is amazing! I personally always own a MAC Foundation at one point in time, and it’s either Studio Fix or Pro Longwear. Still trying to work out which one I prefer better, but with the staying power that comes with the MAC Pro Longwear I think I’m starting to find a favourite.

Most of us are all after the same thing when it comes to foundation, something that will last? Well, most products I have found claim to last all day in some way or another. But this one little beauty ticks nearly all the boxes. It can applied for a light coverage but also built up to a more heavier coverage. The foundation initially gave a dewy finish, but I usually set my foundation with Rimmel “Stay Matte” Powder.

I recently went on a MAC makeup shopping spree after reading all the great reviews on BR about MAC products. When at the counter the MAC man suggested I use the Pro longwear foundation. I have been really happy with this foundation. It gives a medium to full coverage that is buildable without being to heavy or cakey. It goes on really nicely with a foundation brush and drys with a natural not too matte not too dewy finish. It stays on my skin all day and goes perfect with the studio fix powder and matte bronzer. I prefer this as an everyday foundation as it hasn't made my skin change breakout and really lasts. It is great that it comes in a pump bottle to avoid any mess.

I've been using this foundation (NW25) for at lesat 8 months now and I have no intentions of changing.

I first started using this because it had full coverage and I had horrific acne and oily skin at the time. It covered very well and I loved it.

Now I am on a medication which dries my skin out, and I no longer have the acne issues. This foundation is still great on my changed skin type.

Another great thing is that I don't take my makeup off to go to the gym, and even after heaps of sweat this stuff stays on my face. I never need to touch up my foundation.

Pro Longwear is sent from the heavens. I have the shade NW18, which is a warm-neutral undertone, and a little bit darker than NW15. I got it colour matched and the girl did a fantastic job as it is a perfect match for me. I apply with a duo fibre stippling brush and it gives a gorgeous airbrushed finish, but still looks quite natural and skin-like, just better! It's slightly dewy, but easy to mattify with a translucent powder. I generally just apply one layer, which is a nice medium-full coverage, but it can be built up to quite a heavy full coverage, although it can be overdone and end up looking cakey if you use too much. I often wear this foundation during ballet classes, and despite sweating and wiping my face, it still stays in place and doesn't start looking funky which is seriously impressive. With a setting powder and finishing spray, I find this foundation easily lasts 10+ hours, and lasts even if I take a nap during the day and have my face against a pillow! My skin is normal to oily, and it doesn't dry my skin out or get shiny anywhere. The pump only releases a small amount of product, so I use 2-3 pumps for medium coverage or 3-4 for fuller coverage. I will be repurchasing this foundation for the rest of my life, I love it to bits.

My new holy grail! This is a medium coverage that can be built up to full coverage. I love that this has an inbuilt pump, it saves so much wastage. This goes on my skin smoothly, I can use it with a beauty blender or a brush and still get a great result. It covers up my redness nicely, and doesn't cake or flake. It is long wearing throughout the day, and I don't have to worry about it wearing off during the day. They have a great colour range.

I can easily wear this foundation everyday. I have freckles & the last year or so I have struggled with acne. This definately covers my freckles & depending on how bad my breakouts are I will use a concealer aswell. I like that you can build it up depending on how much coverage you need.
