Imagine never having to shave, wax or epilate your legs, arms, bikini line, or any other area where you sport unwanted hair!

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses various light wavelengths to destroy the hair follicles and permanently reduce hair growth.  IPL and indeed other forms of permanent hair removal were very much salon treatments, with some pretty high costs involved.  But not any more!

From your legs to your under arms, and now even those sensitive female facial areas, you can take charge of unwanted hair with a permanent solution.  The new Remington i-LIGHT Pro Face & Body allows you to give youself IPL from the comfort and privacy of your own home!

Its innovative light-based system offers a safe, fast and comfortable way to achieve permanent hair reduction. Utilising PROPULSE™ technology with output parameters close to professional IPL hair removal systems, the i-LIGHT Pro Face & Body has been clinically-proven to deliver permanent hair reduction in just three treatments.

You can use it on your legs, under arms, bikini line, chest, back and arms and by popping on the facial attachment you can treat facial areas below the cheekbone.  And you won't have to look like a plonker and wear sunglasses while you do it!

This nifty device has a long lasting, replaceable bulb.  Each bulb will last 65000 flashes, which is about 75 full body treatments!

Amanda Carr, General Manager of Remington in NZ, said "The market for IPL units that can be used in the home is huge in Australia, this prompted us to launch three months ago into NZ. Sales since the launch have been outstanding and completely beyond our expectations."

This is supported by David Hume from Farmers who said "Feedback from our Customers using the Remington IPL unit have been nothing but positive. The most common comment I have heard is:

"Finally an effective way to remove unwanted hair without salon prices!"

Now our lovely friends at Remington have given us 1 i-LIGHT Pro Face and Body to put to the test.  And of course, we're not going to keep it to ourselves (please Queenie?) - we're looking for one member to trial the product and write a weekly blog recounting their experiences for 6 weeks.  Oh, and they get to keep the $900 machine at the end of it!

So if you'd like to put yourself foward for this lofty task, why not tell us about your hair removal history.  Do you have experience with permanent hair removal, or have you always gone the temporary route?  Have you tried IPL in the salons and would love an in-home option?

Get chatting below - we might just pick you!

Love to use this IPL hair removal, as I have been having electrolysis on my face for the last 10 years and still having it done, which is painful and expensive, as well as waxing certain parts which is also sore and I'm also prone to ingrown hairs which isn't nice at all.

Pick me I would love to try this!!!

Holy cow what an opportunity. I would love to try this. I hate body hair and I hate the hassle and time taken to get rid of it so this would be awesome

IPL peaks my curiosity hugely. I am super lucky to grow thick hair, everywhere, and fast, and this is an option I would love to try-except for the price. Care work does not facilitate this sort of option. I wonder if farmers do layby? haha. I also really wanna know about the pain first too! The older I get, the worse my polycyctis ovaries and endo get, the weirder the places Im sprouting hair hahaha, and with every new place I want to try even more. SO looking forward to these reviews!

I'm a underarm shaver and a leg waxer and like all woman freakin over it, it's summer and I think I'm going to have to shave my legs again :(

I have been dreaming about IPL because it it so appealing!

Who wouldn't want to be hair free!!

I do so very much want to try this form of hair removal.

Omg.....that sounds like an awesome opportunity......to try out this machine would b sorta life changing. I usually use depilatory cream.....waxing......or tweezers and disposable razors. It would make my life so much easier as I have a daughter in a wheelchair......so not left with alot of time. My self esteem is pretty low. Trying something like this wud make me feel better about my self. Good luck everyone. Can't wait to hear about the results. :-)

I've never tried IPL before, its always been out of my price range. I'm like Nanny McPhee and Frida lol. This would be awesome to remove the monobrow and Elvis sideburns forever. And when waiting for the stubble on my thighs to be long enough to be waxed, hubby is out of luck. I would love an in-home option as it saves the embarrassment of going out. Pick me!!

Oh my goodness, yes please. I have tried so many razors, shaving creams, plucking and tried just trimming. I get a rash from shaving, I'm too scared to wax and shaving creams take more time than I have. I have thought about laser hair removal, but its quite expensive. I was blessed with fast growing fine black hair in all the usual places. If a rash everytime I shave wasn't bad enough I also get long black hairs on my neck which I do a daily tweeze to keep on top of. I think its safe to say I need a new method of hair removal. will definitely be reading that blog if I'm not chosen too. Need to know its worth it before I spend my paycheck on it. All in all, it sounds fantastic :)

This would be a dream come true!! I have quite fair skin and very dark body hair so it's always been a real issue for me. I started shaving when I was about 14 because I was so selfconcious about it, and then eventually moved to waxing. I've waxed my own legs, underarms and bikini line for years until I discovered a wet & dry epilator last Christmas which has been amazing. I haven't noticed a reduction in the hair growth at all which is a real shame. I would sign up for IPL at our local salon in a heartbeat if time and money weren't on such short supply being a mum of 4!! I would LOVE to try this at home ????

Dark hair and fair skin! Would love to try this. I get fed up with waxing & shaving. Electrolysis didn't seem to work very well.

I have spent so much time and money trying to get rid of unwanted hair. You name it I've tried it including IPL. Works well but sooo expensive and ongoing. Would love to try this

Get this - I have never tried IPL....but my husband has!! Hah! I'd love to give this a try, I shave but loathe having to do it daily. I'd love a hair removal treatment that lasts longer, I've got 4 young kids so there are many mornings where I just dont have time to shave and end up donning trousers. They are normally the days that end up the hottest! Bah!

I have just completed electrolysis had some good results. Would definitely like to try IPL to. Unfortunately with PCOS it would take forever to fix what needs done as electrolysis is a long time consuming process.

Oh wow, this is awesome.. If this works, I WANT IT! Have gone from trying all sorts of different waxes to even trying an at home lazier hair removal system once. It costed about $400 but was useless and a waiste of time. I will be first in line for salon hair removal systems if they were actually affordable. This is still very expensive but compare it to salons....not so bad!!! Oh I want it lol

This is awesome, would love to give it a go, might help keep my fake tan on Longer lol and no ingrown hairs, miracle :)
