Do you use a different moisturiser at night?

We're nosy parkers here at Beauty Review - we like to know about your beauty habits.  Why?  Curiosity mostly.  It's human nature to wonder if people do things differently right?  What if you've been missing a trick all these years?

Right now, I'm wondering about moisturisers - specifically, do you use a different moisturiser in the evening than your morning one?  (Assuming of course you moisturise twice a day!)

I don't.  I've tried many night creams but there's no noticable difference in my skin if I use one product in the morning and a different one in the evening.  Of course as my wrinkles continue wrinkling and my furrows become more furrowed, I don't doubt I will try 'evening' products again, but right now my skin seems to like the same products morning and night.  In fact other than cleanser choice (depending on the amount of face I've applied that day) my morning and evening routines are exactly the same and my skin feels good.

We're putting River Veda Honeysuckle Moisturiser to the test. Refreshing and exotic, this lightweight moisturiser is formulated to minimize pores and promote even skin tone. The purifying extracts of Amla Berry and Turmeric balance oil production, while organic cold pressed oils of Rosehip, EPO and Jojoba hydrate, quench and clarify.

This lightweight moisturizer is perfect for combination and oily skins and for those that experience an increase of oil production in the hot and humid summer months. Honeysuckle Moisturizer also offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and sebum balancing properties making it an ideal choice for acne or blemished skin conditions.  It sounds like it will make a fabulous moisturiser - day or night!

We think it sounds simply lovely, but of course - we're not the lucky ones who are going to get to put it to the test!  So why not chat to us about your moisturising habits.  How often do you moisturise your face?  Do you use a different moisturiser at night than in the morning?  Do you change it up from Summer to Winter?

Get chatting below - we might send you one to report back on!

I just use what ever moisturiser it's closest to me at the time as bad as that sounds . I'd love the oppurtunity to try a specific night creme though

I moisturise twice a day and I use a different heavier moisturiser in winter and a lighter one in summer. I used to use a different one in the morning and different one for night but I saw that it made no difference to my skin so now I use the same one for morning and night. I have combination skin and my skin gets very oily throughout the day and i haven't yet found a moisturiser that helps with oil production. I would love to see how this would work with my skin and it helps with my oily skin.

I finished my night moisturizer last night so am on the look out for something new.

I actually don't use any moisturizer at night. I only use moisturizer during the day. I suppose it would be quite cool to get picked to trial this... I probably should use something at night...... I wonder if it makes a difference? ??

I sometimes use the same product but if I want something more luxurious, or if my skin's feeling particularly dry, I use a night cream. I can't say I notice a difference, but it's just the different feel of a night cream makes me feel it's doing more (I use a face oil during the day).

I've been using two different products from the Trilogy range night and morning. The one at night is more heavy duty so it can stay on and work overnight. After cleansing and toning in the morning I use their day moisturiser before putting on makeup. I've heard it is good to change your makeup from winter to summer. Perhaps it would be good to change moisturisers also?

I use a gel moisturiser in the morning and a night cream at night. I need the gel moisturiser for my skin otherwise it gets a bit dehydrated and overproduces oil. My skin is usually in great condition with my current routine so I'm going to keep it up.

I use a different product for morning and for night. I like to use new products, at the moment I have trilogy line smoothing day cream and Karen Farley night renewal creme.

I use a nivea night cream at night, and usually a nivea day cream, but currently using the ZA deep hydrating gel. My main reasons are because during the summer I like to have a day cream with SPF in to protect my face. Also my skin gets spotty easily if I don't cleanse properly and I worry that day creams may clog my pores at night, so by using a night cream I know its designed to be left on my skin all night.

I use the same moisturiser day and night which is nuts because it has an SPF in it! It works okay though - the last time I used a specific night-time moisturizer I broke out in spots. Would love to try something new!

31st August, 2015

I use the same morning and night - though I probably shouldn't. Honeysuckle sounds divide...

31st August, 2015

I know this is not a good habit, but I don't moisturise at all at night

31st August, 2015

I do tend to moisturise twice a day, a daytime one in the morning and a night time one at night. I like a richer moisturiser at night time, its like you can feel it soaking into your skin and giving it lots of moisture while you sleep

ooo this sounds heavenly. I use a SPF moisturizer in the morning and usually a oil in the evening like coconut or rosehip. Love the sound of this baby though

31st August, 2015

I have aveeno skin essentials for night, and another that I can't remember for the day, but I only ever seem to remember to moisturise at night, and when I moisturise during the day, I usually use the night one anyway!! am working on that one!!
