Do you suffer from 'rosy cheeks'?

***This trial opportunity has now closed***

Now by rosy cheeks, we don't mean the delicate flush of an English Rose.  We don't mean the hint of blush to reflect your inner youth.  No, no, no.  We mean those red cheeks that at any time of the day, give off the impression you've either;

  • Just completed a Jillian Michaels workout
  • Cooked a full roast on Christmas day in New Zealand
  • Had one two many glasses of wine at lunch time

And of course in reality you've done none of these things (well maybe not today), you're just 'blessed' with a naturally flushed or ruddy complexion.

Foundations and BB Creams are amazing for hiding a multitude of sins, but when it comes to counteracting unwanted tones or balancing your skin tone, you need to look to the colour wheel.  Green neutralises red, and your average foundation or BB cream isn't going to contain much green.  Which makes sense, because as much as you don't want to look red, you certainly don't want to look like an alien with green tinged skin.

So what's a red-faced gal to do?  Sort out the redness before applying your makeup of course!  And we've found a great green primer to counteract redness and create a great base for the rest of your makeup.  Now that's win-win.

We're looking for 20 great reviewers and their rosy cheeks to put Moisture Mist's Green Veil to the test. This product stick has a light texture that spreads smoothly to neutralise redness and reduce the sight of broken capillaries.

You simply dab on to areas of redness such as your nose and cheeks and gradually build to the coverage you need.  Top off with your regular foundation or BB cream and voila, redness-be-gone!

So if you'd like to put your hand up for this trial, why not comment below and tell us if you suffer from unwanted redness.  How do you cover up your redness usually?  Have you tried a green toned product before?

Get chatting below - we might pick you!

Yes! I have a mild form of genetic rosacea and use laser treatment to keep it at bay, but no matter what it always shows through my foundation, and I have to reapply through the day. HELP!!!

Great article. I am very conscious of broken veins and have had a laser treatment to help control. My Scottish ancestry is to blame so try to be extra careful by not using hot water on my face and always moisturise. Also I NEVER go anywhere without foundation or at the very least a BB cream.

I get rosey red cheeks every now and then but it's nothing I really stress too much about. It's only more so when I'm hot ar nervous or embarrased.

Oh I really really need help with this! I do get rosy cheeks but my real problem area is my nose and chin - they get really red and it looks awful. My usual concealer/BB Cream routine does very little to counteract the red and it's something I am quite embarrassed about. I've tried IPL to reduce some of the redness but the pain and pricetag meant it was only the 1 session. I would love to try this product out and hopefully finally get a decent skintone

I don't suffer rosy cheeks but maybe I should layer this on when I attend the gym !! :)

I'm the complete opposite, I have pale cheeks that makes my face look one dimension. The only redness I have are from pimples and acne scars. I have seen shaaanxo use products with green to counteract red pimples so I wonder if this product would work on pimples and acne scars as well?

I suffer from rosacea on my cheeks as well as around my nose, as I am a long time hayfever sufferer! Also, having a 'cool' toned complexion, my redness is a bit of a hindrance. I have heard good things about using green primers/concealers to counteract this. OH! I would love to try this product out!

I'm always asked why I'm blushing or if I'm too hot >: ( Someone even asked me if I was drunk, in the morning! I'd love to try that green veil but how can green cover up red?

17th September, 2014

I fully need this in my life!!

17th September, 2014

I do get rosy cheeks especially half way through the day but not as bad some other people. I've never used a concealer either so I'd start with a plain concealer for starters before choosing a green toned one. I'll leave this trial to the other lovely members of this site.

Omg! I really go red when Im havn a few drinks, I get shame as sometimes as you can pick me out of a crowd easily haha. My mum says its my scotish side lol. This would be good to trail

I have loads of red broken veins - is it rosacia (not sure how to spell that)? Which give my cheeks a redness & my nose is just red. Like a constant sunburn. I have it bad on my chest too. Not sure what the story is there but ever since I was about 18 I've had people ask me all year round if I got some sun lol Not sure if a green primer would work for my cheeks, I've wondered... I'd be really keen to get on this trial!!

Have had trouble with redness for years would be interesting to see how this worked with my skin

17th September, 2014

Rosy cheeks are the most annoying thing, mine come and go some days I have them others I don't and no matter how much foundation I apply it just makes it worse! It's not something that I am overly bothered by though :)

17th September, 2014

I dont have rosy cheek but i have jawline that looks red, like you can see blood veins under the skin. Anyone knows what it is? l think maybe my skin is too thin or maybe allergy? Probably not allergy because i have had it for long long time. It would be nice if that concealer can help me to cover up.
