Combo skin - if you know, you know. It's a constant battle to find the right skincare. Often you have to resort to buying two different products to do the one job. A cleanser for the dry area, a cleanser for the oily T-zone. Same with moisturiser. Same with masking. But what if it didn't have to be that way? What if hundreds upon hundreds of reviewers with combo skin had discovered skincare and found products that worked well on both the dry and oily spots of one's face? Knock me down with a feather... they have, and you'll find them here. Introducing the perfect skincare regime for combo skin, featuring all Top Rated products, as rated and reviewed by our Beauty Review Community!

Cleanser

Trilogy Clarifying Cleansing Gel - rated 4.8/5

You say: I have combination skin and I found this cleansed both the oilier and the drier parts of my face nicely. I didn't experience any irritation or dryness during my trial of this cleanser. BR Member - ljasminel

Toner

Thayers Lavender Alcohol-Free Toner - rated 4.3/5

You say: I don't usually use a toner in my skincare routine, largely because previous toners I've tried have been quite drying for my combination/normal skin. I've been pleasantly surprised by this, however!...Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who has dry/normal skin, and who loves a lavender scent. BR Member - Sylvia

Moisturiser

Clarins Calm Essentiel Soothing Emulsion - rated 4.6/5

You say: I like this light emulsion a lot, my skin is combo, this worked well and didn't add any oilyness to my t zone... This leaves skin glowing and refreshed and really soft to touch. I'm going to enjoy using this through the winter months and beyond. BR Member: UnderratedFemaleLead

Serum

La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Serum - rated 4.5/5

You say: I have sensitive/combination skin that has a few wrinkles coming. It made my skin feel soft and plump without being greasy. My skin felt hydrated throughout the day and was great under makeup. BR Member - Camillarees90

Mask

Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Mask - rated 4/5

You say: The mask does a good job of absorbing oils, it dries down nicely and it's fast to remove; it leaves my skin feeling very soft and oil free. This is a brilliant product, I highly recommend. It's very good for oily to combination skin types. BR Member: JoJulian

Exfoliator

Dr LeWinns Facial Polishing Gel - rated 4.6/5

You say: I have combination skin and get dry patches in winter, and I found this helped keep my dry patches at bay as it both exfoliated dead skin off and didn't strip my skin of moisture. My skin felt baby soft afterwards! BR Member - eringracem

Oil

Trilogy HempHip Balancing Oil - rated 4.6/5

You say: I found it perfect for my combination skin type. It hydrated my dry areas without overly hydrating my more oiler areas. BR Member - Shaznae

Sunscreen

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Anti-Shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ - rated 4.6/5

You say: The finish is truly matte making it the perfect option for oily/combo skin, but suitable for anyone who prefers a matte sunscreen with zero greasiness or white cast... I’ve been using this for a week now and I have to say it’s probably the best sunscreen I’ve tried, it’s great knowing you’re adequately protected without compromising your look (ie. no more looking like a shiny disco ball or a chalky vampire!) There are some amazing products in this list.

Hmmm I'd like to try the hemphip balancing oil. I find facial scrubs need to be gentle for me nowadays or my skin reacts badly to them.

Definitely going to try the Sunscreen when I head overseas in a few weeks.

Definitely use different products on different areas of my face , l guess l get my favorites, have Trilogy serums and oils at the moment, and have long been a fan of Dr Lewinns, Garnier, and Sunscreen off course. Thanks .

Yep, my skin is a real mixed bag it’s mostly dry, but I get an oily t-zone (especially in Summer!) and occasional breakouts, it flushes very easily too so I tend towards sensitive skincare products. I’m particularly sensitive to chemical sunscreens so I have to be very picky as they need to be gentle but also matte/non-greasy. It’s a shame we don’t have much a selection of mineral sunscreens in NZ. One chemical sunscreen I really do like though is the La Roche Posay one in this article! It’s sooo good.
