Body Oil - Yay or nay?

We're spoiled for oils this week at Beauty Review and we're fast learning that not only are natural oils full of goodness for our skin, they're fantastic for everyday use and deserve a place in our beauty routines.

Yesterday we looked at oils formulated especially for our faces and today we're featuring a body oil.  Now I have a confession. When I think of body oil I think of the Chippendales.  Not that there's anything wrong with glistening firm torsos but from all of the oil research the BR office has been doing this week, I think I've been selling body oils short!

Trilogy's Aromatic Body Oil contains 'six of nature’s most nourishing pure plant oils combined to make a totally natural, luxuriously skin-conditioning and skin-protecting body oil.'  The Aromatic Body Oil is full of vitamins, proteins, amino acids and essential fatty acids from rice bran, avocado, calendula, evening primrose, sweet almond and certified organic rosehip oils.

Trilogy tells us this gorgeous oil blend is intensely moisturising, while still light-weight and easily absorbed by the skin.  Sounds like the perfect alternative to a body lotion to us!

We're looking for a trial team to put this little luxurious treat to the test!  So if this sounds like a trial team you'd love to be a part of why not tell us your thoughts on body oils?  Do you regularly use one, or are you more of a lotion gal?  What do you expect from a body oil, and have you found one you really love yet?

Get chatting below and we might just send you one to trial!

This is so lovely to use at this time of the year as I find my skin really drys out, not sure of the change of season or the air conditioning at work cause it.

To be honest I have never tried body oil. I just usually use a body moisurizer. After reading these review though I think I may have to add them to my beauty regime. I do have dry skin so may be beneficial for me to switch to body oil

I knew of bio oil, but aside from that I didn't know you could get body oil like this! So no never tried body oil! This sounds amazing though, all those nourishing ingredients would definitely make your skin feels amazing! x

I prefer oils to lotions simply because they smell better. Natural ingredients can treat so many different types of skin problem and I can't wait to see the reviews if I'm not lucky enough to be chosen.

Personally I am a lotion girl, but that's just out of habit. My mum has always used body lotions as moisturisers and only recently I have heard about body oils being used as moisturisers. So I am very intrigued by this and would like to try some oils instead of body lotions. I would expect a body oil to have the same purpose as a body lotion, but I would be interested to see what the difference is. Whether it moisturises and hydrates the skin better. I'd also be interested to see whether body oils have more properties than lotions, as they seem more natural. This trilogy body oils sounds good as it contains 6 plant oils, and sounds like it can be used just like a body lotion as it is light weight and absorbs I tot eh skin quickly.

Looks beautiful, I'm a coconut oil kinda girl but this looks much better.

I think for Winter, body oil is definitely a must! So nourishing and leaves your skin feeling luxurious!

This was the first body oil I used. I love using body oils at night and lotions in the morning. I did find the scent on this body oil a bit strong. I guess they were trying to go for a unisex scent with the strong bergamont scent. It is supposed to have a bit of rose and vanilla in it but the bergamont overpowered what ever other fragrance notes that were in this body oil. I do like the texture of the oil but wish the scent wasn't so strong.

I love body oils but I'm pretty picky with what I use. I like to use oil at night and lotion during the day. Would love to try this one!

I've mainly used oil only for my hair (coconut oil), which works really well. I've only ever felt a little bit during massage and so forth. But I must say, I was happy with the results at the time.

I love a good body oil, but haven't used one for a few years now. Last one I had was a Linden leaves one, would love to see how this one stacks up against other oils but being from Trilogy I am sure it will be a good one.

Although I love oil for my face, I've never really used it on my body and prefer lotions or butters. Although one of my fave butters is an oil emulsion so I guess I do sort of use them. My main issue is that they are not as fast absorbing as lotions and I want to be able to get dressed straight away rather then wait for a while.

I love body oils. I love the way they soak in yet are more moisturising than a lotion. I like one that smells yummy and absorbs quickly . It seems more luxurious using a body oil than a lotion, like giving yourself a little massage!

I'd be keen to give this a go. I do love the feel and smell of body oils but don't like them if they are greasy and leave residue on everything.
