So it's a lazy Friday night and you've decided to have a pamper spa night at home, you have your facemask applied, your nail polish ready to go, coconut oil soaking into your hair and of course the compulsory glass of wine, alas though you've neglected your feet and neglected feet are NOT a pretty sight but never fear for Aunty Beauty Review is here why not head to your pantry and grab these supplies for smooth, odour free foot makeover!
Vodka
Not only great with orange juice vodka can be an effective tool against the foot odour fight. Vodka of course contains alcohol which is an antiseptic and also a drying agent which helps deal to that odour causing bacteria and fungus which can appear on your feet. Simply grab a wash cloth, soak it in vodka and wipe it all over your feet.
Liquorice
Next time you time you reach for that sweet treat maybe apply it to your feet, less calories that way. Liquorice contains a substance similar to estrogen which can be used to help soften hard skin and deal to those corns and calluses, toot sweet (hehe). Simply grind up some liquorice and add to 1/2 teaspoon of petroleum jelly and rub this mixture all over your feet.
Tennis Ball
I know you're probably wondering what on earth can you use a tennis ball for? Well if you've got tired, achy feet then why not give your feet a gentle massage. Simple roll your foot over the ball for a minute or two and feel the pain and stress roll away. A variation on this is to roll your feet over a frozen bottle of water to help cool down those hot, throbbing feet.
Listerine and Vinegar
I know a couple of Beauty Reviewers have shared this little secret and I thought it deserved to be added to our list of at home pedicure heros! Listerine, like vodka, contains Thymol which helps to kill off that nasty fungus and bacteria and vinegar is an acid which also contains some antibacterial properties. So for a simple but effective foot spa mix 1/4 cup of Listerine, 1/4 cup of vineagar and 1/2 cup of warm water to a bucket or bowl large enough to contain your fee and soak, soak, soak! After about 10 minutes the dead skin should come off your feet nice and easy.
Great tips for our feet!
