I quite liked ibuki initially. However I tend to stick to the more organic products where I can. I never had any issues with my skin Normal/dry using this product, it does what it says it'll do. It's just not organic that im aware of...

My local Shiseido counter lady recommended I try a travel set of this range, cleanser, softening essence and refining moisturiser. It was nice.
The moisturiser is very thin and rubs in quickly and easily.
It is highly fragranced but all Shiseido is. It is not a natural range of skin care but it isn't marketed like that either and I'm fine with it. I don't have sensitive skin and I didnt have any reaction.
It hydrated my skin and I really liked the whole range, the cleanser is especially great.
I think this is very much suited for the 20's-30's age group. I'm late 30's and feel it wasn't quite enough for me, it was way too light.
When I next went in to the counter to maybe repurchase I'm full size the lady recommended totally different products. Needless to say I left without purchasing as I didn't feel she knew what she was on about.
Tips: If you have normal skin and are in your 20-30's this would be a great, light weight and hydrating range. Try a small travel set or ask for samples.
This was suggested to me as a night cream by my local shiseido counter crew. I have combination skin which is starting to show signs of ageing, so I need a good moisturizer yet one which isnt too heavy or oily. This definately ticks the boxes for me.
I love how this has a pump applicator, as I find one pump is the perfect amount for my face and neck. This has more of a heavy fragrance than the Ibuki protective moisturizer, and is a wee bit creamier and therefore a little more hydrating. I find this sinks into my skin beautifully.
I am a big fan of this range and will continue to use and repurchase (as finances allow!)
The splurb on Shiseido's website about Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturiser Enriched reads as follows: "This lightweight, multi-action cream intensively corrects the appearance of unevenness from visible pores, blemish marks and skin roughness by helping to build skin's strength to resist problems. Renews the appearance of skin, revealing a richly hydrated look and feel for ready for anything skin all day long. Formulated with PhytoResist Complex that helps enhance skin’s natural moisture factors, refines texture and builds skin’s resistance to external stressors. Renews the skin’s surface to reveal an incredibly smooth, uniform texture. Lightweight cream formula with a rich, moist feeling."
Upon opening the tub, I instantly noticed the fragrance. It's highly fragranced, so if you have sensitive skin that's prone to flare-ups, definitely spot test this product! I'm not a fan of jar packaging for various reasons (it's unhygienic having to dip fingers in, ingredients become unstable when constantly exposed to air, etc.) and would definitely prefer a squeeze tube or pump action dispenser. Apparently this is available in both a tub and a pump dispenser.
Fragrance aside, the cream has a lightweight, creamy texture that glides over the skin, instantly hydrating and leaves skin feeling luxuriously soft and smooth with no greasiness. It actually has an almost matte feel after the moisturiser has had time to sink in and on a "make-up free" day, it left my naturally oily skin feeling almost matte and shine-free for a few extra hours. Bonus!
At almost a dollar per ml, this is an expensive moisturiser and probably not one that many can afford to buy on an ongoing basis. It definitely lives up to the promise of hydrating skin and leaving it feeling smoother, although it did not diminish the appearance of visible pores and blemish marks for me.
I happened to get a cold while using this product and applied the soothing, hydrating cream every morning to my very dry nose (which was red and sore from days of blowing) and it stopped the skin around my nose from flaking and cracking like it usually does when I get sick, so it definitely lives up to most of the promises mentioned in the splurb on their website!
Tips: Definitely patch test this product due to the added fragrance.
Bought this overseas in a trial set with the softening concentrate after a recommendation at a store. I don't REALLY know what I need in face care as my skin is up and down, but this has been pretty good. Biggest plus for me is it didn't cause any acne to my acne prone skin, def recommend it!
Tips: Only use a little... this stuff really goes a long way so worth the money. I use it once a day only
You've got to hand it to Shiseido - they know what they are doing. Although I haven't used this moisturiser long enough to assess whether it fulfills all their promises, I did find it rubbed in easily, it smelt nice and it was a lovely creamy texture. It felt a little artificial, but was a lovely soothing product to use.
I won this as a prize just recently in a starter pack on here and after using the product for a month or so now, I am pleasantly surprised how my skin feels. The lotion leaves my skin feeling so soft and silky and well moisturised and I love the delicate scent which is not overpowering unlike some other cleansers.I would be tempted to buy this at some stage in the near future as it does do what it says and i'm loving the results,my skin feels and look healthier.
I got a sample size from a subscription service. It was an 18ml pottle and lasted me around a month, so it’s safe to say a little goes a long way with this product.
The scent was nice but not overpowering which was great. The texture was thick and creamy but definitely not greasy. It soaked right in and left a smooth, silky, well moisturised, hydrated feeling to my skin.
I have dry, sometimes flaky skin so love creams like this for night time use and day time use during warmer months.
After using this continuously for a month my dry flaky skin calmed right down and looked so much better. I have used many intense thick moisturisers that claim to be great for dry skin but don’t really work. This was fabulous.
I didn’t notice any visible difference with reduced marks or pore size but my skins texture improved with use.
If I could afford the full size I would have no hesitation purchasing this again.
I got a sample size of this in my goodie box but it actually lasted me about a month. It's really lovely and smooth. It's easily applied and absorbed. I can't pinpoint the scent but it smells expensive! A nice delicate scent, not overpowering. I love the feel of it on my skin, it's not at all greasy. It is definitely super hydrating but I can get similar results with cheaper products.
I remember using this product back when I was late teen/early 20s. It definitely made my skin moisturised without being too gluggy. The only thing I would say is it's pretty pricy.
Tips: Don't use too much - you'll chew through it!
