A good every day foundation

I picked this up from the Big Bucket Deals pop-up store a few months ago, and ever since I’ve always gone to this one.

I used to be a religious BB cream user, but I felt like I wasn’t getting the redness coverage from it that I wanted.

When I picked this one up, it was a good match for my skin and covered the redness while also being build-able. My skin still looks like my skin - freckles and all - but it hides the redness and imperfections I want covered.

It doesn’t stay on for ages, but I rarely have my make-up on all day anyway so it’s not too bad. However, I do have quite an oily complexion and it stands up pretty well just needing a few touch-ups every couple of hours.

I definitely recommend this foundation if you can find it.

Wonderful finish but could be longer lasting

This is a great makeup and as far as I have been told it has been discontinued in NZ and Australia but is still available elsewhere and I have sourced some online. I wear the shade buff and it is the perfect match for me - it is a bit lighter than the old colorstay shade of buff (before they reformulated it with the pump bottle) and is a bit paler which works better for me as I always had to mix ivory/buff in the colorstay range to get a good match. This comes in a classy clear cylindrical bottle with a pearlescent lid. Simple but classy but I would prefer a pump as I have to keep this upside down to be able to use it properly. The consistency is quite thick and it is hard to get it to run out of the bottle once it is past the halfway mark. The texture is very creamy, it glides on and blends beautifully with my fingers (I don't like brushes or sponges) and it looks very natural. Medium finish I suppose and the spf 20 is a nice addition. No shimmer and sets nicely with a powder. My only gripe is it isn't particularly long lasting and it does wear off during the day so I wear colorstay when I need something more durable. However this is great just to dab on where coverage is needed on casual days and I definitely really love it since I am on my fourth bottle of this. It does last a really long time and I get about a years use out of a bottle and I was quite surprised that this is so well suited to my dry skin as this is an oil controlling makeup and oil-free and I usually use makeup for mature/dry skintypes so perhaps it wouldn't be the best for truly oily skin. If you can find this then go for it I really think it's a great quality foundation especially for the price!

Yay- glad to read a review on this, as I just ordered a bottle off the NZ sale website last week. I usually use colorstay but at $10 on sale thought I would try this one too and see how it compares :)
