I usually don't spend a lot on hand creams so was looking forward to trying this product. I had seen it in a department store and knew that it was a lot more than I would usually pay. I liked the plain packaging - and the 'green' claims of using natural ingredients, no animal testing, recyclable and made in NZ (buying local). The tube has a great screw lid so I was confident in throwing it into my handbag or keeping it in the car. The cream was a nice consistency - not too thin, thick or greasy. It spread really well onto my skin and a little went a long way. I mostly put the cream on the tops of my hands and only rubbed the residue into my palms and I could feel the oils working. I have some cracked skin from eczema and sometimes other creams will sting a bit, but this cream didn't sting at all, in fact it soothed my hands really well. The fragrance was strong at first but was lovely, I kept inhaling the lovely smell. The cream absorbed really well into my skin and my hands felt soft all day, even after washing them It was lovely to put it on again before bedtime and go to sleep with the calming scent.

Tips: It would make a lovely gift
This product made my hands feel soft, but the scent was too sweet and overpowering for me. So If you aren't a fan of sweet smelling products steer clear of this one
Someone with a great nose for delicious hand creams has thrust my hands into a scent-nirvana of late. Mother dearest, you picked a winner. She has replaced my usual hand creams, with the most delightful cream blended with 100% pure and natural essential oils (such as Juniper Berry and White Thyme) and infused with sweet almond and avocado oils for hydration, this delight of a cream is most definitely the talking point of this bathroom.
Tips: Enjoy x
Packaging is plain enough to be attractive, gives it that green feel and look to it. It's an easy to use tube that has a nice screw top lid so nice and secure for the handbag. The scent is a very strong lavender but it doesn't linger. The cream itself is thick white and oily and easy to squeeze out and apply, only a small amount is needed as its easy to rub around. I get cracks and ingrained muck in my hands and this cream also seams to lift this away with a little bit of extra rubbing around. So for me as a cleanser and a moisturiser it's doing a awesome job and its soothing. I find I do have to wipe off any excess so waste not my arms usually cop the residue. My skin likes this cream and is getting softer, I like to put in on when I'm sitting around so it gets a good chance to soak in. I'd say value for money.
Tips: I've been using it on my feet and knees and elbows, give it time to soak in as it is oily.
My first impression of the packaging for The Aromatherapy Co Lavender and Chamomile Handcream was that it was very basic and unappealing. The tube looked like it was an acrylic paint tube that an artist would use. However, I have since realised that the intention was that it was to give the appearance of being simple and possibly natural (but the tube is silver so I am not completely sure). I have found that it is important not to judge a book by its cover though, as I was very impressed by the hand cream itself. I am not overly keen on products that are lavender fragranced and although the initial smell of the handcream on application was very strong, I did like the smell and it became a very subtle scent quite quickly. I loved the rich and thick feel of the handcream on my hands and it really felt like it protected my hands and nourished them. I also liked the thought of the lavender and manuka for healing and preventing scarring. I would definitely buy the product myself, as well as buy it as a gift for someone else.
Tips: Try applying the handcream just before bed as lavender and chamomile are good for relaxation and sleeping.
Absolutely loved this! Felt amazing on my hands and loved the smell (would be nice if the lavender smell lasted a bit longer though). My hands are starting to age a bit now, and this really smoothed out the skin and took away the dry feeling (lasting for hours). My nails have taken a battering lately too since I had a shellac manicure for my wedding and did a pretty bad job of getting the stuff off myself. This hand cream has really helped my nails too and they are recovering a lot faster.
Tips: No matter how much you are tempted, don't try this on your feet. Makes them slippery as hell and your feet slide out of your sandals!
This was given to me at Christmas as a gift from a friend. She knows I love hand creams so I really appreciated this.
The smell of this is really lovely - It perfumes my hands and I like that it isn't a really strong smell.
The cream is thick but not hard to rub into your skin and my skin loves this. Unfortunately it is a little pricey for me so this is a luxury product for me rather than a neccesity. However if you can afford it then I would buy this.
I love this hand cream! I got it as a birthday treat from Farmer's and I just fell in love that I got another one for myself and a couple more as a gift to friends and family. The packaging is simple yet attractive. It's easy to carry around as it's not too big although a travel size would be handy too. The cream makes my hand soft and silky and the scent is divine. This is my new favorite thing. Seriously.
Tips: Vanilla Pod smells heavenly too!
I have OCD when it comes to hand cream. I use it constantly - this was great but the smell was a little to strong for me at the moment while I'm handling new borns.
I like that its non greasy but i would use it even if it wasn't just for the divine smell it leaves behind. I have given this as a gift and gotten lovely comments.
Tips: Keep a tube in your hand bag
