Long Lasting Moisture

I have used different brands if paw paw ointment previously, and this one was vastly different. I found the consistency to be a lot thicker than previous experiences. This made it great for using on my lips. It not only combated my dry lips, it also lasted so much longer than general balms. Even after drinking several times, Sukin Paw Paw Ointment stayed on. I was so impressed by this. I had an itchy bite that was driving me crazy, but after I put a little Sukin Paw Paw Ointment on, the itching was relieved. The ointment on skin forms a barrier that helps to relieve and protect bites and so forth. Over all I really liked the Sukin Paw Paw Ointment experience, and will definitely be using this product again.

Tips: Applying Sukin Paw Paw Ointment onto lips helps to moisturise and protect lips for long periods of time. I found that adding a little of the product over top of my standard lipstick or gloss helped the colour to last longer and stay in place better.

A Lovely, Multi-Purpose Product

I've use paw paw ointment products in the past and have always found them to work wonders for a whole range of problems! I was super excited to try the Sukin Paw Paw Ointment to see how it compared.

Super cute packaging to start off with — love the adorable pink design! I found the packaging to also be very practical, and it was easy to disperse the perfect amount of product every time. When it's cold the product can be a little more stubborn coming out of the tube, however. No biggie though.

The ointment itself is very similar to other ointments on the market — thick, slightly clear. Has a subtle but not unpleasant scent. It smooths onto the skin easily and is absorbed rapidly by dry skin.

I really wanted to test this product out on things like insect bites, chafing, etc, but I didn't experience anything along those lines while trialling this product! Instead I used it mainly on my lips and my dry elbows, and it seemed to work really well in those areas, instantly nourishing the skin and helping it stay nourished throughout the day.

Would recommend as a cute wee handbag item for unexpected dry lips, skin, bites, chafing, etc. Super handy and lovely to use!

He Said She Said

I was excited to try this for both my husband and I. He suffers from terrible itchy red fingers. He tried it twice but unfortunately it felt worse and he wasn't prepared to persevere. My problem was really dry cracked heels. Ok miniature elephant feet! They had got worse of late as I love to walk barefoot everywhere. Huge cracks and very sore to walk on. After only TWO nights the pain had gone and the cracks were shrinking quite rapidly. Visible results every morning when I woke up. I am excited to use this as a multi-purpose cream and think it will get a lot of use.

Tips: Great compact tube to carry around in handbag to use on the run.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Packaging is aesthetically appealing, great size for handbag or toiletry bag. Easy screw cap and feels secure enough to chuck into your bag and not worry about it.

Loving that it is sulphate and paraben free! I am a huge paw paw ointment user on my dry lips and it feels reassuring knowing this product is safe to use.

The ointment itself though is very thick, and in the cooler weather really hard to get out of the tube. So for me wanting to use it regularly on my lips it is less appealing. It also has a displeasing taste.

However, I can see it's merit for abrasions, insect bites et al. I did not get to put this product to the test as had none during the trial period but I am hopeful it would be soothing.

I did trial it on elbows, knees and feet and it certainly did soften and moisturise this area, although it felt quite thick and required some rubbing in. But worth the perseverance if these were a trouble area!

Overall a great product for use as a barrier cream or moisturising problem areas, but it just didn't satisfy my main use of paw paw ointments for dry lips being so thick and with an odd after taste.

Price point seems comparable to other brands found in supermarkets.

Tips: Perhaps try to keep in as warm a location as possible for more easy removal from tube and application.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

I'm a big fan of paw paw ointment and have used them in the past. This one is great as it's got a lot of natural products compared to some of the other brands. It's very thick and it hard to get out of the tube but it is fragrance free, I really like that about products. I tried it on my red finger which was swollen around the cuticle area. It offered some relief, the redness and itchiness has been reduced. I've also tried in on some eczema which came up on my arm and it worked well. I will definitely be trying this ointment out on chapped lips, sun burns, sea lice rash and insect bites but didn't have a chance in the review period. I would buy this paw paw ointment and am pleased it's easy to buy in the supermarket at an excellent price.

Tips: It comes in a handy size tube that you can keep in your hand bag.

Great weather shield against dryness

I was sent this from Beauty Review to trial (Thank you Beauty Review). The Sukin Pawpaw ointment is the first product I have tried from this brand and I was excited to see how this ointment was comparing it to other pawpaw products on the market.

It comes in a small 25g tube and since trialing this I've already used up half in a matter of 2 weeks. The lid is very secure saving it from it being accidentally opened in your handbag. I find it hard to get the product out of the tube because of its thick consistency and the colder days. Letting the tube warm up in my hand before squeezing out the product has helped get the ointment out easier and better to rub into my skin.

Ive been using this on my lips, elbows and ankles. When using this on my lips it keeps them soft and smooth for hours, in the colder days my lips get chapped a lot quicker compared to summer days. I've been using this on the edges around my sons nose because his nose gets dry and sore from blowing it on a daily basis. My elbows and knees are no longer dry and since I've been using it regularly to combat the dryness I dont have to apply it as often as I normally do.

I will purchase this product in the near future.

Tips: Warm the tube in your hands to make the product come out easier.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

I was sent this product to test/ review thanks to the amazing team at BR! This was my first time using a paw paw ointment and my first time trying a product by Sukin. Love the cute, simple packaging however it is rather difficult squeezing the product out (I think this may be due to the cold weather) and the ointment is very thick which can make it slightly difficult to apply. Although it's not the easiest product to use, it does what it said it would do. It is incredibly moisturizing, soothes the skin/ lips and is very hydrating. I have dry lips due to the cold Christchurch weather and a cut on the corner of my mouth which seems to be clearing up thanks to the ointment and I have also been using it on a couple of small dry patches on my face as it's incredibly moisturizing. I love that it has multiple uses and is a great product to keep in your handbag. Lovely packaging, great size tube, fresh scent and highly moisturizing!

Overall, it's a great product however I wish it were easier to squeeze out of the tube and it would be great if it were less thick in consistency so it would be easier to work into the skin. I will continue using but may try a different brand next time.

Tips: Keep somewhere warm (such as your bathroom) for easier application.

A better natural alternative

Firstly, thank you BR for the opportunity to trial this. I would never have picked it off the shelf as I would have assumed it has a petroleum base in it.

It comes in a nice peach coloured tube with a black screw top that is very easy to use - major downfall is that when it gets cold, it is very hard to squeeze the product out of the tube. I guess it would be a lot easier in summer though!.

If it wasn't for my above comment alongside the fact the ointment doesn't readily adsorb, I would absolutely give this product 5/5. It came very close thought. The application on my lips was very easy, but the backs of my hands was a bit harder as the ointment had to be rubbed in quite hard.

I used it on my lips and the backs of both hands - both super dry areas of my body. There was a vast improvement in the scaly looking skin on my hands - after about 30 minutes of applying, the skin in the area looked smoother and plumper and less crepey. I'm pretty much in love! My lips also stayed hydrated for a few hours.

I think this tube will last me at least a month, so at $9.99 it will be pretty economical.

I will more than likely buy this again due to it's natural properties and also because it doesn't really leave a scent or taste on your skin. I like that a lot!

Tips: Warm the product in the palm of your hand before squeezing out of the bottle. It'll make it so much easier over winter.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Pretty impressed when the Sukin Paw Paw ointment tube when it arrived - I have use Pawpaw treatment in the past especially at the start of the winter season when the aircon heat gets turned up in the office and cause my lily white dry skin start flaking, especially leading to dry chapped lips.

I like the pawpaw coloured tube that easily fits in my clutch or and handbag, or even in my jeans pocket without having to carry around a bottles of moisturiser all the time. Also not all moisturisers works well on lips.

I found it a little hard to squeeze out but eventually got the hang of it and soon I had a new best friend that went every where with me the last week and a half.

Easy to apply and moisturises immediately on application and soothed my chapped red skin. I also used it on a few other dry spots on my arms when I did not have moisturiser with me in the office. It calmed down the itch, till I arrived home, and I do think it can be used as multi-purpose moisturiser.

Must be one of my most favourite treatments so far, and I will be rationing my way through the tube.

It states that its is made of a variety of natural ingredients, including fermented Pawpaw and has been know to have natural healing qualities. I like it and will continue using this product in future.

Tips: Take it with you - everywhere

Petroleum free Paw Paw!

I was first impressed to see this paw paw was petroleum free, the reason I have avoided paw paw in the past as I've deemed it to be an expensive version of Vaseline.

It comes in a cute little peachy coloured tube, a good size to throw in your handbag. I did find this product to be quite hard to squeeze from the tube. I thought 2 good places to trial this product would be my lips, and a small dry area of skin that had emerged on my face. Unfortunately, it did nothing on my dry skin, even after applying twice daily. It did keep my lips feeling moisturised, but no more than my current $4 lip balm. On that note - I will continue to use the tube I have now, but I dont think I would purchase this again.
