Hurraw :)

I really like this lip balm. I bought the cherry one off Iherb at a really affordable price. I'd heard so much about them, so thought I'd better give it a shot. It's a really nice product. It had a nice, natural smelling cherry fragrance, and a really pretty tint. It's a dark, cherry red and gives me a subtle tint and gloss (due to the oils) without looking like I have anything on. I love teaming it with a bb cream for a no make-up look when i'm home with the BF. I didn't quite give this one 100%, as even though I like it, it is very oily, which means that my lips do not receive a lot of actual hydration. So when it's water they need, this tends to sit on top and not do a lot. if My lips are really flakey, this doesn't soften or really penetrate much, but when they're in good condition (which i do my best to keep them in), this keeps them soft and smooth. It is also really easy to apply, because the oil content means it liquifies very quickly when you touch your lips so there's no drag or that odd tacky feeling you get with very firm lip balms. I love that's it's cheap, that it's creulty fre, and that there are no nasties, my lips can be quite sensitive and I often react to lip balms, so it is a nice change being able to use a balm that still has colour and fragrance. I like.

Tips: If you want a subtle colour, the cherry is gorgeous, especially if you're one who often has issues with coloured or fragranced balms.

Nice

I have two of these: Vanilla Bean and Coconut. They haven’t turned out to be my favourite lip balms ever, but I do like them and definitely think they’re worth trying out.

The packaging is great. The tube is a slim oval shape, so doesn’t take up much space, and the labels are super cute. It’s really sturdy, and I feel fine chucking it in the depths of my handbag because I know it won’t get damaged, and the cap won’t accidentally pop off.

Both of the balms I own smell amazing. Vanilla Bean is slightly different to what I was expecting, and definitely not a super sugary-sweet vanilla (more natural), but I really like it. The Coconut is my favourite though; it’s a fresh, yummy smell that makes me hungry. The scents don’t transfer into taste, which is fine for me because I personally prefer unflavoured lip balms.

They have a really smooth, silky texture, which is quite different to any other lip balm I’ve used before. It almost reminds me of solid coconut oil because it melts as soon as it touches your lips and feels very lightweight and non-waxy. They give a subtle shine when applied, although they’re not really glossy. I do find that they wear off relatively quickly, and I have to reapply every couple of hours at least, which is more frequently than with my other lip balms.

When my lips are in good condition and I just want to chuck something on to keep them from drying out, these lip balms are great. I think they’re really handy to keep in my bag/pocket for on the go. However, because of the very slippy, light texture and fairly short wear time, I don’t find these particularly great for when my lips are super dry or chapped – they seem to sit on top rather than helping to heal/hydrate like my other more intensive lip balms.

I really like Hurraw lip balms. But if I could only choose one lip balm to use for the rest of my life, it wouldn’t be one of these. As an everyday on-the-go product to prevent dryness, they’re great, but as a product to help when intensive hydration is required, they don’t quite hit the mark.

Glad it was helpful! :) They are nice lip balms, but definitely not heavy duty (at least for me). xx

Thank you for such a wonderful review. I was going to purchase these as an intensive and effective overnight treatment but I don't think I need to add to my collection of lightweight balms xx

Very very pleased with these lip balms! I ordered a bunch of them off iHerb and was super stoked when I finally recieved them. The formula is beautiful, so soft, glides on and incredibly moisturising! I got chai spice which smells like heaven on earth and is a great everyday balm, Blue chamomile vanilla which is a night treatment balm that works wonders after a long day and two tinted balms in cinnamon and black cherry. All these balms smell beautiful, work wonders and are packaged so nicely that they are easy to slip into your pocket or your bag :) I will continue to buy these!

Lightweight Lip Balm

I love everything about the Hurraw lip balms. They are raw, vegan and cruelty free whilst still being super affordable and accessible. They have an amazing range of flavours which smell divine with no fake, plastic traces. I personally picked the lemon and coffee flavours (purchasing from shelivescrueltyfree.com) and prefer the freshness of the lemon. The packaging is reasonably sturdy and the balms are easy to apply with no sticky fingers required.

Although these are a brilliant alternative to Blistex, Nivea, EOS etc, they don't have a wow factor. The hydration is provided, but it doesn't last once the balm has faded from the lips. They are perfect to add into your nightly routine, or apply under lipstick, but they aren't particularly intensive. These wouldn't be enough to treat dry, cracked or flakey lips and they don't give the super nourished, hydrated plumpness that I am seeking. I am yet to find the lip balm that does this though, so perhaps my expectations are too high.

If I was making an online order I would probably slip another one of these in, although I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase them. It would be great to purchase a few from iHerb to have on hand for little gifts.

Tips: These would make lovely little gifts.

It's good to know that these are good under lipstick! The one I am currently using is to thick. Might have to add a few flavours in my next order.

Good Lip Balm

Hurraw! lip balm is good. Good, but not great. Love the packaging and shape of the balm, it seems to wear more evenly in the tube being the oval shape that it is.

Absolutely love the lime one and would like to try a few others in the range, although they're not long lasting I will use them again due to the flavours.

I like the philosophy behind the product, however don't find it has any real lasting effect - it only seems to last about 20 minutes or so on my lips. I also find that is my lips are particularly dry there is no effect with these balms.

I feel pretty much the same about these - I probably will purchase other flavours, just because they're so nice, but I don't find them that amazing or long lasting compared to other lip balms. :) Great review!

Hurray Hurraw!

I had heard so much hype about this lip balms and I was so thankful to finally find a store in Dunedin that sells them!

They definitely live up to their expectations, I got the vanilla bean one but I was tempted to try others so if any one has a different favourite please let me know!!

The vanilla bean one smells amazing but not too over powering. It feels very slick to put on and applies very smoothly it instantly hydrates my lips and lasts a very long time. I have extremely dry lips and this works amazing for me, my lips tend to get vey dry over night and in winter so I always like to have a lip balm on me. I love how natural this is so I don't feel guilty if I have to use it a lot knowing that I am not applying a bunch of nasty's on my lips.

The packaging is very cute, it would be easy to travel will as it is a small flat oval shape. It is easy to apply and is in a wind up stick form so that you don't have to dip your fingers into a jar.

I think that it is great for the price and I don't have to apply it as much as other balms so it is lasting me a very long time. However I would love to purchase more! They make my lips feel so soft and it has definitely been a life saver getting into the colder weather

The perfect balm!

I got 2 off IHerb and actually didn't have high expectations but wow, these are incredible! I have mine in coffee and black cherry. I love the coffee one, since I am a coffee addict anyway.

They smell amazing and are so great to apply and the great thing (in my opinion) is that the smell doesn't make it taste like anything because I don't like smelling the scent of my lip balm throughout the wear of it. It's slick enough so that it really doesn't drag and is as smooth as butter. I have to admit that initially, I had never tried such slick balms before and didn't like it. However, after having used them for 2 months now they are incredible and really do moisturize nicely. I apply it at night and wake up with smooth, velvety lips. It's also great to reapply throughout the day but I find myself reaching for the dark cherry one more since it does have a lovely tint (and also smells delicious)!

The packaging is simple but effective. I initially thought the oval shaped tube was weird but such a shape makes for an easy application - especially for the tint since you don't want it smearing everywhere. I also like that the screw is quite right so you don't accidentally twist it and smush the product. The price too is super affordable and I love how they are cruelty free, plus they also have a whole lot of flavones so you're bound to find one you like. Love love love - just need to get more flavours now!

Tips: Yes - go stock up on them. Now! :)

More Than Impressed.

This product I have had just over a week and I am addicted! I didn't have very high hopes for this product I thought it was way over hyped but it has knocked Paw Paw ointment out of the way and has become my new holy grail lip care product!

I got mine in the Moon Balm which is blue chamomile and vanilla and it smells amazing. I mainly bought it because this was the flavour one of the girls at work had and I fell in love, then it just so happened my nail lady got them in to her salon so I had to give them a whirl! The smell isn't overly powerful either when its on the lips. They aren't overly expensive(I think mine was $7.50) but its fine as I was able to buy locally and not have to pay for shipping which was a bonus.

The tube itself is a good almond/oval type shape which I find is better suited to the shape of the lips than the circle ones. It glides on easy and is not sticky or greasy or anything. It also stays on the lips for awhile and provides the most amazing moisturising for dry lips. You can literally feel how moisturised your lips are, especially after wearing it overnight. I will definitely be buying again!

Lemon Delicious

I kept seeing this everywhere so I thought what the hey I love a good lip balm and the fact that it is all natural/vegan even better so lets give this a whirl and conveniently popped one of these bad boys into a beauty bliss order  – I bought this in lemon because I love a fresh lemony scent.

Firstly the packaging - this is actually a little different to your average lip blam a more of a cylinder type shape than a round tube with a clear click on lid and little turn screw base at the bottom to move the lip balm up. I really liked the shape of this balm feels much nicer in my hand 

Now for the fragrance ! – I generally hate fragrances in all my beauty products I like everything to be as fragrance free as is possible however when it comes to lip balm for some reason this goes out the window and I love sweet and fresh smelling balms. This is a really lovely fresh lemon scent that reminds me more of lemon lollies than lemon cleaning products . Possibly my all time favourite fragrance to date.

Texture wise this lives up to its name its smooth its not sticky or glossy or too sweet or smelly and it does make your lips feel nice and soft glides on like a dream. It doesn’t dry your lips out or cause any irritiations.

I do find this doesn’t last as long as my HG balm - blistex and I did need to apply this more often than I would using my HG balm.

All in all for $7.00 which is a pretty average price in terms of balms I would buy this again but its not topped my favourite.

Great balm

This is my favourite lip balm in stick form. I have two flavours: chocolate and cinnamon and I like them both. It is hydrating as lip balms should be and I think it lasts well on the lips. It's also not sticky which I love and the fragrance is true to the flavours. The chocolate one smells so good you'd want to eat it and same with the cinnamon. Some may not like the fragrance but I do.
