Garnier Pure Active 3 In 1 Cleansing Mask Review

I have used this product for years and its helped clear my skin better than any other face wash. I also love how it is also a scrub, as I love to exfoliate my face and have it smooth and soft, it can also be used as a mask which is just as great. I however dont usually use it as a mask and prefer to use it as a cleanser and scrub then use other face masks afterwards

This is such a cool product. I didn't really understand the 3 in 1 nature of the product until I saw the actual tube. I love that I only need to use 1 product as a cleanser and a face mask

I tried using this all 3 ways, i used it as a wash after a day of wearing makeup, then I used it as a scrub to get rid of dead skin - I found this was similar to using this as a wash/cleanser there's not much difference in using the product as a wash/scrub as you need to massage the product into the skin for both methods - I used a little bit of water for both methods. I used it as a mask and left it on for 3 minutes as the bottle recommended. I enjoyed using it as a mask as it left my skin feeling soft and refreshed after I rinsed it off. My forehead is quite oily and I found it helped with this, making my skin look less oily. The salicylic acid was also great for acne/pimples. It great as you don't need much product to use this as a scrub/wash, the beads in the product are great as they help clear all the dead skin cells on my face and clear my pores, I felt a difference after washing my face, it left my skin feeling fresh and lighter. The product had a very fresh scent. It's perfect for oil/combination skin. It is a little drying for my sensitive cheeks area but to combat this you would just use it a few times per week. Its a great product, but I would personally call it a 2 in 1 product as the wash/scrub component seem to act the same way. This is something I will be using in my routine regularly, especially as a mask.

I spent so long eyeing this up but not getting it down to the packaging. Personally I don’t feel this is a 3 in one product as the first two (cleanse and scrub) are essentially done at the same time and felt like a marketing gimmick. After using and falling in love with it, I still feel it’s a 2 in 1 product as opposed to a 3 in one.

As for the product itself. The smell isn’t so great because of the mask aspect of the product. This is the first face wash I’ve used in a while that doesn’t leave my skin feeling taut. It’s gentle enough to use daily without having any negative effects on my skin. The ‘mattify’ effect on your skin is what made me fall in love. Right before I got this my skin had been problematic for a few weeks and this has cleared it up so nicely without of any of the awkward I-just-changed-my-facewash-phase.

The only thing that has me questioning this product is the exfoliant in it and what that’s made out of as I havnt seen anything on the bottle to allude to whether the exfoliant is environmentally friendly. Outside of that, as long as you remember this is more of a 2-in-1 product as opposed to the advertised 3-in-1 then you’ll be sweet.

If you had asked me a few years ago my thoughts on this product I would have told you it's a holy grail and would reccomend it to anyone in a heart beat. The more I used this product the more I noticed how it was damaging my skin. Yes it is a great exfoliator and gets deep in your skin but if used to often (daily) in my experience it can damage as the exfoliator is so rough. I noticed my skin was feeling raw after using it too frequently I find it to be too harsh for daily use but it is a great product for once or twice a week deep scrub.

This works really well and it smells great but it leaves my skin feeling quite dry. I stopped using it mainly because of all the nasty ingredients in it.
