Good Masque but not my favourite

I found this to be a light gel which upon application quickly reached body temperature and was absorbed so that it was unnoticeable. I was not a fan of the fennel oil scent which was not great but not too unpleasent either. I left this masque on over night and my skin did seem hydrated however I would like it if they added a skin softening agent into this masque....so it could not only hydrate but soften the texture of the skin also would be great.

Tips: Leave on overnight to get the maximum benefits from this product and if your looking for a masque that your not afraid to answer the door too... this one is good as it doesn't look like your wearing anything at all.

Linden Leaves Moisturiser Masque

Im kind of inbetween with this product as I normally do prefer masques that dry up. It feels different with this masque being a liquid. It doesn't quite feel like its doing the job right. When you apply it to your skin it goes on really easy but it doesn't let you get that thickness of the masque that I normally like to have. My face did feel a bit soft but nothing like other products i have tried. I would say this is a good masque if you want a quick and easy to apply and remove masque. It does the job but not to the point of what I want my skin to achieve.

Linden Leaves Good But Not Amazing Moisture Mask

I was after an expensive gift with purchase that Linden Leaves that I could get if I spent at least 70 or more on Linden Leaves products and so ended up purchasing the Linden Leaves clay masque and the moisturizing one. This masque had gotten rave reviews and so I decided to get this. I was attracted to this masque because of the natural ingredients - water, aloe vera and witch hazel extracts, glycerin, white tea, chamomile extract and comfrey root extracts, sweet fennel and manuka essential oils. The masque texture is like a liquidy gel, instead of a more creamy texture like some other moisturizing masques but I find that it absorbs into my skin within minutes and that makes it easy to fit into my evening routine if I want to do a masque but don't have much time. I think if you have oily or more combination skin this is great moisturizing mask that won't overload your skin with heavier oils or moisture and make you break out. I also like that the tube is clear so I can easily see how much I have left and it's one of the easiest masques to get the last bit out of the tube. The brand is cruelty-free and environmentally conscience so animal lovers can enjoy it without feeling guilty. The downsides to this masque for me is that during winter I when I had really dry skin I don't think this did much to boost the moisture levels in my skin, I'm sure it did some good but when I used it at night the next morning I didn't have that really fresh, plumped up skin that I get from getting a good boost of moisture the night before. Another thing is that while this masque is recommended for all skin types it might not be the best choice for sensitive skin, because the ingredients list on the box says it has salicylic acid. Another discrepancy is that the ingredients list on the tube is a bit different than the ingredients list on the box. The tube has some ingredients that aren't listed on the box and the box has some that aren't listed on the tube. They also suggest that you could leave this on overnight but turns into a thin tight film that feels uncomfortable on your face and not within a matter of say half an hour or an hour but within like ten minutes max. They say that you can add oil to enrich this masque and then apply it, but I find that oil doesn't mix too well with the gel and I end up with a greasy layer that feels heavy on my skin even after I rinsed it off. And if they were recommending to mix it with the Linden Leaves miraculous facial oil that would make the greasy layer even worse since that facial oils is thicker than most.

Tips: I also seem to be going through this masque much faster than most moisturizing rinse off facial masques, so a little doesn't go as far. So in the end conclusion although this is a good masque, I don't think I would repurchase. Just because I do think that there are better options that will give my skin more moisture, but if you have oily or more break out prone skin this might give your skin the right amount of moisture without breaking you out.

If you are short on time this is an nice masque to apply before you hop in the shower and then rinse off at the end of your shower routine. I like to have this on my face while I wash my hair and scrub my body and then rinse this off right before I hop out. The box says it has salicylic acid, the tube doesn't list it. I don't know if it just happened to be a mistake with one batch but if you have sensitive skin there may be better moisturizing masks better suited to your skin type. This masque is best suited to oily and combination/normal skin from my experience.

Pretty average

When BR had a weekend deal going with linden leaves where you earned points for purchasing products, then getting a free bottle of the miraculous facial oil I was all over it. What a fab deal- thanks again BR!!

I had never really tried Linden leaves products before except a hand cream which was amazing. So searching through there website I found this, I love face masks and anything that "adds moisture" makes my eyes widen, having dry skin and out in the elements I need loads of moisture to keep my skin looking half decent.

The clear tube is nothing fancy but it's certainly practical. I unscrew the lid and squeeze out the size of a 50 cent coin and apply it to my face. I found this to sting a bit and my skin is not usually sensitive so be cautious if you do have sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly into my skin, after 5 minutes I gently wipe away the leftover mask.

Afterwards my skin looks like it has definitely had a moisture boost but it doesn't last long. A couple of hours later and my skin is looking not as plump. Would I repurchase? Hmm probably not, mainly because I can get more from other masks.. hello sheet mask.

Linden Leaves Moisture Replenishing Masque

I ordinarily love Linden Leaves products and was expecting great things from the moisture masque for my dry skin but I am disappointed. As I sit here typing, my face feels dry... I'm considering a run to the bathroom to apply regular facial moisturiser. Opening the tube, the masque is in gel form. It smells slightly antiseptic-like, fennel and green tea is the formulation. Following the instructions, I cleansed first with usual cream cleanser, applied the clear masque generously and left for a few minutes. It says that the masque doesn't set. Erm, mine did! I rinsed it off, hoping that my skin would be left feeling moist but it doesn't, although it does feel smooth and looks smooth. I'm happy with the appearance but my skin feels tight and I definitely need to moisturise, especially if I were to apply make up. Sorry Linden Leaves, I wanted to like you but you disappointed me by not delivering or replenishing moisture.

Hydration overload

Usually after a shower my skin is quite dry, so I applied the masque after showering and it absorbed straight away. Anyone looking at me wouldn't have realised I had a masque on! I washed it off after 10mins. It had re-hydrated my skin a little, however by the afternoon my skin felt a little oily. I also tried the masque overnight, thinking that this would be a better option for me, so that my skin wouldn't feel oily during the day. I washed my face the next morning but by lunchtime the oiliness had returned. I think I'll save it for weekends only.

I quite like the smell of the masque (kind of reminds me of aniseed). The bottle size is good too, easy to slip into a toilet bag for travelling.

Lindon Leaves Masque

The result was a smooth skin after leaving the masque on for half an hour, but I did find it was unpleasant, making my skin tingle like a burning feeling. Fortunately all was good in the morning. The fragrance was light which was good.

Not for me ...

Felt great putting it on, but within 5-10 minutes it had absorbed into my skin and did not feel hydrating at all. Never felt the urge to wash it off, so left it on overnight. On a third attempt, applied my usual night-time moisturiser afterwards, as my skin felt strangely dehydrated. Would not use again, nor recommend.
