Hurraw Lip Balm

I didn't particularly enjoy this lip balm as, instead of making my lips hydrated, it made them go cracked and dry. I wouldn't use this again and wouldn't recommend it to a friend either.

Hip Hip Hurraw

This is a great lip balm!

I've tried a few flavours now - my favourite is the shea - it's so moisturising!

It's not sticky and is very good at instantly soothing dry, cracked lips.

I love the shape of the lip balm too - instead of being circular, it's elliptical and trust me when you use it you'll realise it makes so much more sense for it to be that shape - it just seems to 'fit' your lips better!

I also love the fact that the lid is 'tall' - so there's plenty of room should you leave the lip balm wound up. (I'm shocking for winding it up and mushing the lip balm or lipstick in the lid!)

I think price wise in NZ it's ok, but if you buy it online you can find it about half the price - I always chuck one (ok two) in my iHerb order.

So Hurraw is a very functional lipbalm and great if you're conscious about ingredients but care about performance!

Holy Grail Product!

I purchased my first Hurraw lip balm after seeing Shaaanxo talk about them on her channel. Im really fussy when it comes to lip balms, Im not a fan of many, vasaline works great in my opinion, but since getting one of the hurraw balms I don't think I will be using anything else for a while! Firstly, they smell amazing! I have the coconut one and I would love to eat it ha ha! They are super moisturizing & its amazing that they are Raw & Cruelty Free Etc! Definatly a favourite of mine!

Hurraw Lip Balms- Chocolate and Coconut.

These are vegan, organic and made from raw ingredients. Ordered two of these off Iherb. After reading reviews on here and hearing alot of you tube gurus rave about them. Too start off amazing scent to them and feel amazing, hydrating and so moisturising on the lip.

Chocolate: This smells incredible moisturising but I fell it loses its scent after 10 mins of being on your lips you cant tell its chocolate flavoured anymore. Although still provides amazing hydration and leaves your lips soft and moisturising.

Coconut: I love anything Coconut flavoured its one of my favourite scents. This smells devine! This holds its scent alot longer than the chocolate one. Still provides alot of hydration and long lasting coverage. Deffs my fav out of the two.

Love the packaging the oval shape makes it so nice to apply.

Hurraw!

What an absolutley great find!! I had to order these online from America and they did take a while to arrive (so I ordered 4 to make it worth while) and I am IN LOVE!! I ordered the Cherry, Root Beer, Cinnamon and a Night treatment one. The parcel arrived finally and they had put in a free day time one with SPF in it for free. They also hand-wrote a note on my packing slip to say thanks. I was very impressed and I hadnt even tried them. So the tube is a normal twisty tube and you get a really reasonable amount of product. Feels wonderful on dry lips and the flavours are so yummy!! I have to say they dont do anything better than any other lip balm but as they are vegan and raw ingredients (and because they are so lovely) I will definitley be using them again!

Hurraw :)

I really like this lip balm. I bought the cherry one off Iherb at a really affordable price. I'd heard so much about them, so thought I'd better give it a shot. It's a really nice product. It had a nice, natural smelling cherry fragrance, and a really pretty tint. It's a dark, cherry red and gives me a subtle tint and gloss (due to the oils) without looking like I have anything on. I love teaming it with a bb cream for a no make-up look when i'm home with the BF. I didn't quite give this one 100%, as even though I like it, it is very oily, which means that my lips do not receive a lot of actual hydration. So when it's water they need, this tends to sit on top and not do a lot. if My lips are really flakey, this doesn't soften or really penetrate much, but when they're in good condition (which i do my best to keep them in), this keeps them soft and smooth. It is also really easy to apply, because the oil content means it liquifies very quickly when you touch your lips so there's no drag or that odd tacky feeling you get with very firm lip balms. I love that's it's cheap, that it's creulty fre, and that there are no nasties, my lips can be quite sensitive and I often react to lip balms, so it is a nice change being able to use a balm that still has colour and fragrance. I like.

Tips: If you want a subtle colour, the cherry is gorgeous, especially if you're one who often has issues with coloured or fragranced balms.

Nice

I have two of these: Vanilla Bean and Coconut. They haven’t turned out to be my favourite lip balms ever, but I do like them and definitely think they’re worth trying out.

The packaging is great. The tube is a slim oval shape, so doesn’t take up much space, and the labels are super cute. It’s really sturdy, and I feel fine chucking it in the depths of my handbag because I know it won’t get damaged, and the cap won’t accidentally pop off.

Both of the balms I own smell amazing. Vanilla Bean is slightly different to what I was expecting, and definitely not a super sugary-sweet vanilla (more natural), but I really like it. The Coconut is my favourite though; it’s a fresh, yummy smell that makes me hungry. The scents don’t transfer into taste, which is fine for me because I personally prefer unflavoured lip balms.

They have a really smooth, silky texture, which is quite different to any other lip balm I’ve used before. It almost reminds me of solid coconut oil because it melts as soon as it touches your lips and feels very lightweight and non-waxy. They give a subtle shine when applied, although they’re not really glossy. I do find that they wear off relatively quickly, and I have to reapply every couple of hours at least, which is more frequently than with my other lip balms.

When my lips are in good condition and I just want to chuck something on to keep them from drying out, these lip balms are great. I think they’re really handy to keep in my bag/pocket for on the go. However, because of the very slippy, light texture and fairly short wear time, I don’t find these particularly great for when my lips are super dry or chapped – they seem to sit on top rather than helping to heal/hydrate like my other more intensive lip balms.

I really like Hurraw lip balms. But if I could only choose one lip balm to use for the rest of my life, it wouldn’t be one of these. As an everyday on-the-go product to prevent dryness, they’re great, but as a product to help when intensive hydration is required, they don’t quite hit the mark.

Glad it was helpful! :) They are nice lip balms, but definitely not heavy duty (at least for me). xx

Thank you for such a wonderful review. I was going to purchase these as an intensive and effective overnight treatment but I don't think I need to add to my collection of lightweight balms xx

Hurrawesome

Very very pleased with these lip balms! I ordered a bunch of them off iHerb and was super stoked when I finally recieved them. The formula is beautiful, so soft, glides on and incredibly moisturising! I got chai spice which smells like heaven on earth and is a great everyday balm, Blue chamomile vanilla which is a night treatment balm that works wonders after a long day and two tinted balms in cinnamon and black cherry. All these balms smell beautiful, work wonders and are packaged so nicely that they are easy to slip into your pocket or your bag :) I will continue to buy these!

Lightweight Lip Balm

I love everything about the Hurraw lip balms. They are raw, vegan and cruelty free whilst still being super affordable and accessible. They have an amazing range of flavours which smell divine with no fake, plastic traces. I personally picked the lemon and coffee flavours (purchasing from shelivescrueltyfree.com) and prefer the freshness of the lemon. The packaging is reasonably sturdy and the balms are easy to apply with no sticky fingers required.

Although these are a brilliant alternative to Blistex, Nivea, EOS etc, they don't have a wow factor. The hydration is provided, but it doesn't last once the balm has faded from the lips. They are perfect to add into your nightly routine, or apply under lipstick, but they aren't particularly intensive. These wouldn't be enough to treat dry, cracked or flakey lips and they don't give the super nourished, hydrated plumpness that I am seeking. I am yet to find the lip balm that does this though, so perhaps my expectations are too high.

If I was making an online order I would probably slip another one of these in, although I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase them. It would be great to purchase a few from iHerb to have on hand for little gifts.

Tips: These would make lovely little gifts.

It's good to know that these are good under lipstick! The one I am currently using is to thick. Might have to add a few flavours in my next order.

Good Lip Balm

Hurraw! lip balm is good. Good, but not great. Love the packaging and shape of the balm, it seems to wear more evenly in the tube being the oval shape that it is.

Absolutely love the lime one and would like to try a few others in the range, although they're not long lasting I will use them again due to the flavours.

I like the philosophy behind the product, however don't find it has any real lasting effect - it only seems to last about 20 minutes or so on my lips. I also find that is my lips are particularly dry there is no effect with these balms.

I feel pretty much the same about these - I probably will purchase other flavours, just because they're so nice, but I don't find them that amazing or long lasting compared to other lip balms. :) Great review!
