Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser Review

I have been using the Neutrogena pore refining exfoliating cleanser for a week now and have hardly made a dent in the tube, so am picking this is going to last quite a while. The packaging is durable, and has survived a few trips in my gym bag so far.

The cleanser; this is a lovely thick and creamy cleanser with small microbeads, an almond or hazelnut sized drop was enough to cleanse both my face and neck with a mild fragerance. It's fragerance is not offensive, but is equally nothing special. (though i'd probably not want anything too fragrant on my face). I have combination skin, which can be rather sensitive to some products, but so far all is well. The results: Over the past week i've seen a reduction in the size of visible pores on my face, and to my mind the product is so far living up to it's claims, though i'd like to try it for a bit longer to see if there are further changes. I would most certainly recommend this product to others to try.

This product is really just like any other cleanser you would buy from the supermarket, it cleans your skin but doesn't do anything special. Not even reduce the size of pores like it claims to. I used this over a week and did not notice anything different about my pore size, in fact over the week I had a terrible pimple break out (this may not have been related to the cleanser as a week is not enough time to tell). It has a pleasant smell and a thick slightly gritty texture, after use it left my skin feeling clean. Perhaps used with other pore refining products there would be a better outcome? So I will continue to use this and would consider buying it again as it does clean my face, however it really didn't live up to its pore shrinking claims.

The first thing I noticed about this product was the size of the bottle. It's a lot of face wash for the money! It's also easy to hold with wet hands, which I find important. The second thing I noticed was the smell of the product. Whilst smelling fresh, it did remind me more of a household cleaner than face wash. That aside, it really works! It is a lot more gentle than the scrubs I am used to using, but the difference in my skin was immediate. Even just washing the product off after the first use, I could feel my skin was softer. It has helped with some problem areas of dry skin, and also patches of acne. It's gentle enough for everyday use. I would definitely buy this product again, and highly recommend it, especially to people who enjoy a gentle scrub.

I used about a 20c size each time and washed off both with a flannel and in the shower (morning and night).

I had no breakouts in the week that I used this cleanser. My skin feel lovely to touch and definitely felt clean. I didn't notice any difference to my pores. However, I would like to see how my skin is after a month or after an extraction treatment to fully allow the pores to be able to reduce. I believe my skin needs longer than a week to see the true value of this cleanser.

I found it refreshing and a pleasant surprise that this cleanser is not like similar products, when rubbed between the fingers it did not feel sandy or gritted, and I felt encouraged and ensured that the rubbing application on my face to remove dead skin cells would not remove the fine hairs on my face at the same time.

At one point I left it a while after cleansing before I toned, moisturised and applied sun screen. My face did not feel like it had been stripped, tight or dehydrated at any stage.

This product is great. It really delivers on its promises! My skin feels amazingly clean after using this product and has been visible clearer since I've started using it as well. I cannot yet see a significant difference in the size and appearance of my pores, but I have only been using the product for a week so far. The product also has a pleasant smell and feel gentle on my skin.

I used product once a day for over a week, I found it made my skin very dry and uncomfortable, I didn't notice much change in the appearance of my skin, however this also may have been due to the reaction I was experiencing, good product but I just didn't feel it really worked for me

it was nice to receive a full size sample to try and was very happy with this product. I have sensitive and oily skin and found this left my face lovely and smooth. It says to be used everyday but I would recommend using every second or third day along with the pore refining cleanser that is available ( the blue one) I would buy this again as it is effective yet gentle.

I've been trying out the Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser for just over a week now and love that it's a cleanser and exfoliator in one. I have combination skin with very large pores on my nose and chin so I was really interested in trying this out. I found the exfoliator to be very mild and it was great at removing my makeup and cleaning out my pores. As I've only being it for a week I haven't noticed my pores shrinking yet but will continue to use as it leaves my skin feeling very clean and smooth. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who doesn't like a course exfoliation and has large pores. I like that you get quite q lot of product so it will last a long time . I do think I would purchase this product again.

I love this product. I have tried so many different exfoliating products but have found many to be too coarse & rough on my skin. I love how this product has very small exfoliating particles in it but heaps of them so it is almost paste like. It left my skin feeling soft & very smooth & I really do feel that it made my pores look smaller & more refined.

As someone with sensitive skin that is prone to dryness I was wary of using an exfoliating cleanser but the exfoliating beads in this one are so small that they did not irritate my skin at all! I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm starting to see a very slight difference in the appearance of my pores but think it's definitely a product that takes a while to see really definite results. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling very fresh and clean so will definitely be one I continue to use. Formula is surprisingly creamy (though slightly gritty from the exfoliating beads of course) and didn't dry my skin out so that's a winner in my book.
