I bought a sample set of Essano Rosehip products, and adored everything else in the set. This, for me, was the bad apple.
To spin the positives, I love the soft pink girly packaging, the concept of rosehip in a lotion, and the lotion itself in terms of it being lightweight, easily absorbed and hydrating.
However, the lotion is scented in such a way that it is very fake, powdery, and sweet. Although it is a nice light lotion, this scent clings to your skin and is a little cloying. It's not at all pleasant to me.
I also don't think that the lotion delivers as promised on 'deep moisturisation' and intense hydration'- for me it's light and refreshing in feel, but let down by the scent. I would be disappointed if I'd bought this expecting it to be a heavy duty moisturiser - and I'd be disappointed if I bought it with the expectation that Essano had created an awesome addition to their rosehip collection. As much as I love the rest, I fear they have missed the mark with this one.
Out of all of the Essano range the hydrating body lotion is the most delicious smelling, almost good enough to eat. It's slighty fruity with a sweet smell and berry?, not like any other moisturiser I've ever smelt. After trying a sample of this product I went out and brought the biggest bottle I could find which is this 400ml.
It lasts a long time and it's not overly greasy, it absorbs quickly into the skin and the sweet scent is so light, warm and sit's close to the skin. I use it everyday and pair it with the Rosehip oil straight out of the shower as I am pregnant it's been a favoured routine at keeping stretch marks at bay and still being able to maintain a bit of luxury in my day.
I love the packaging of Essano products that they have become a feature on my bathroom windowsill, functional and stylishly clean branding.
