Feels like angels have kissed your skin!

I've been wanting to find a cleanser that wasn't too harsh on my skin, didn't strip my skin of too many oils, but still gives my skin a proper clean by getting rid of all the dirt and excess oil on my face. Yes, sounds like a hard task but this cleanser ticks all the boxes! I'd heard a lot about this cleanse and saw some great reviews on here, so I decided to go into Lush and have a look at this product.

This cleanser throughly cleans my skin and gently exfoliates the dead skin away. It's not too harsh either and is gentle enough to use on a daily basis. After using this my face feels soft and silky and refreshed. I have oily combination skin, and had very dry skin in winter. I have been using this product for about three months, and found it suitable to use on both dry and oily skin types. It didn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight, but my skin felt clean afterwards and there was no oily residue left on my skin. I have really sensitive skin and didn't have any bad reactions to this product. I have had reactions to other Lush products though, so if you have sensitive skin I would recommend asking for a sample first. I haven't noticed a difference in the redness on my face, and I still get pimples on my chin and forehead, but I have noticed that this cleanser has improved the texture of my skin, it feels softer and smoother.

The texture of this cleanser feels like soft cookie dough, a clay like texture. I usually rinse my face with water first to dampen it then pinch off about a pea size of the cleanser, and rub it between my hands so it dissolves a little then spread over my face. Because of the soft texture I found that the cleaner melts easily, so I would advise you not to store it in the shower, as it will start to melt. I only use this cleanser in the morning (I have my shower at night so use a different cleanser), and don't use it to take make up off. I wouldn't recommend relying on this as a cleanser to remove make up, because it gets a bit messy on your skin when using it, and it would be difficult using it on your eyes. But I imagine it would be able to remove foundation.

Overall, I really this cleanser was really effective and I would definitely recommend it. The small pot lasted me about 3-4 months, it is a bit more expensive than my normal cleanser but worth it seeing that its made from natural ingredients.

My new fave cleanser!

My skin is not very problematic so I usually stick with supermarket cleansers - therefore I was a bit hesitant about spending $19 on this but I am so glad I did! A little goes a long way so 1 pot lasts me a few months. As I said my skin isn't very problematic so I'm not going to claim this took me from acne covered to flawless but what it did do was minimise those little bumps I had on my face which I can only assume are made up of something gross stuck under the skin!

Tips: I add a pea size amount to my palm and mix it around with my fingers to create a paste, then I run my two palms together and rub all over my face.

Love it!!

This was my first lush product I have tried and I love it!! I purchased this online as I have very acne prone skin. I have struggled for so long with my skin and I seen a review about it online so decided to try it for myself. Since I started using it I have noticed my skin has started to clear up. after using it I also do see the redness reduces and my face feels so clean and soft. Also I love the earthy scents they use. I think its worth the money, although they do have $9 flat rate shipping they do send you a few samples of other products. I will definately be repurchasing! And look forward to trying other products they have at lush

Tips: I remove my makeup before using this so that my skin can soak up all the goodness.

Best cleanser ever!

I have had slightly problematic skin most my life and have been using this cleanser for the last 4-5 months. My skin has never ever been better! My skin type would be combination, dependant on the environment I'm in & the weather.

First impression was the scent was a bit weird, but nothing off putting. The texture is clay like, but add a bit of water and you can have a gentle exfoliating cleanser. I love the fact it's a natural product, and it has definitely done wonders for the bumps, blocked pores and dry patches on my face.

I generally wet my face, take a small amount and split into each hand and rub onto my face evenly. I usually leave it to sit for a minute, if I'm in the shower, then rinse. Always leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking great.

100% recommend.

Tips: Keep the empty containers as once you save a few, you can redeem for a face mask :) I also prefer to tip out the loose lavender as I personally can't stand the smell of lavender at all and am not sure if they're even needed.

Touched by an Angel

I had jacked up Worldofsooziewong to get me a comforter gel and she threw in some samples for me. I wasn't expecting alot of samples and it was a lovely surprise. I haven't really explored Lush cleansers before. I thought this sample was a great first impression into trying it.

My sample pot I got given is reminiscent of the full sized pots. Black sturdy little pot that holds lots of product safely. First appearance of this cleanser is thick beige paste with herbs running through it grainy texture. This scent reminds me of freshly crushed herbs but on a mild scale.

With application I pick a bit out of the pot place it in my palm. Bits fell everywhere, kinda messy. I mix a teaspoon of water into it making it form into a workable paste. I lather this on my face. I can feel this grainy paste working its way into my skin. I like to warm a cloth to help remove this.

After trying this my skin has a healthy glow after it.Normally my skin dries out after cleansing but didn't with this one. So far Im using it in conjuction with my skincare products and haven't had any skin irritations or problems.

Overall it was kind of tricky to apply being quite dry. But I managed to make this work for me. I think this is priced fairly. I like the way my skin feels after using this. I would definitely try more cleansers from Lush.

What I like about this cleanser is its natural and doesn't feel like it's tightening my skin like mainstream cleansers. If your into natural cleansers definately give this one a go.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin - Review

This is one of my favorite cleansers ever! The pot that it comes in is great and it comes with a lot of product, especially because you only need a pea sized amount per use.

It lives up to all it's claims, providing a gentle cleanse and exfoliate with soothing properties for all skin types. My skin is combination oily-dry, and it works great for me!

The packaging is average, a small black screw pot which holds the cleanser roll. One of the god things about this is that if you have 5 of these black pots you get a free face mask, which is great and really promotes recycling.

The scent is also lovely, a fresh natural smell that just makes the experience better. It cleanses nicely, not over-drying my skin but still getting out all the dirt and oil that's there.

I will be buying this again as soon as I can afford it, as it is quite pricey for me but the benefits just win me over. I can definitely tell why this is a classic favorite of Lush.

Tips: Not sure if your skin will love it? Go to lush and ask for a sample, the staff are lovely and will help you out lots!

Best Cleanser I have Used

I was a little unsure how my skin would react to this as it can be temperamental sometimes but this cleanse has been amazing. It really helped to clear my skin up with the way it gently exfoliates and soothes my skin. For me this contains just the right amount of ground almond etc that it doesn't over scrub my face. As soon as I stopped using this after it ran out my skin started to break out again so I am a multiple re-purchaser of this.

When I use this I break some off and then run a little bit of water over it before putting it on my damp face. This seems to help make it easier to work with and to move around my face. I love the lavender smell of this cleanser, its great to use just before bed.

This is a great easy to use product and the tubs are really handy to use and to keep once empty for bits and bobs. I will continue to purchase this amazing cleanser.

Tips: wet the cleanser before applying to your face

Just didn't like it

After such a glowing review status and a cult following I was so happy to finally get into a store a pick up a tub of Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser but after getting it home and using it I am finding it really hard to use the rest of it.

Coming in the classic Lush black pottle with the iconic white chalk writing upon it, this cleanser sits inside it like a ball of clay ready to be used. Following the instructions I took a small piece of the product out of the tub and rubbed between my fingers which was a little tricky as it was incredibly crumbly and full of gritty material and herbal matter. Finally making it ply-able I run it over my face and massaged in, the first thing that hit me was the smell so incredibly strong and reminded me of Fishermans Friend, it was very off putting to the point I was feeling myself gag to get it washed off. This was so strange as in the pot it smells a little herbal but nothing off putting.

Once washed off my skin was feeling very clean and there was no over drying or oiling of areas, at first. I wash my face after work at around 6pm and then put my skincare on just as I climb into bed to allow my skin time to relax and breath, in this time I had developed so much greasy oil in my t-zone that I had to re-wash my face, there is no other cause of this other than the lush cleanser.

So the fact that it makes me feel sick from the smell when using it and that it made me an oily mess in the matter of a mere few hours, I have found it really hard to even like this product, unable to give it any good points. This might be down to my skin type and my own preferences of fragrances so it may suit others, who love it, but for me I just can not even use it again.

I'm too sensitive :(

I heard amazing things about this product so naturally i went out and got myself a sample. I must admit i had high hopes which is never a good thing. I found that it was far too rough on my poor, sensitive, eczema prone skin and made it sting quite bad ( i think this might be from a fragrance in the product)

5 Star Angel!

As a sceptical Lush user I decided to give the store another chance as people were raving about its face care cleansers.

I had previously used a cleanser of theirs that was far too gritty for my sensitive skin so I went with that in mind.

I asked for something that would be deep cleansing but gentle enough on sensitive and red prone skin.

I honestly cant believe just how brilliant this cleanser is!!

I use a small amount (a ball about the size of a 50c piece) and try not to include any of the loose lavender the included on the top (for decoration and scent? I honestly dont know) and include the tinniest dribble of water, to make a milky cleanser and then apply to a damp face.

I focus on my problem areas (cheeks and nose) and within a week my redness was down, my acne was almost gone and my skin was soft!!

It did everything it suggested, and didn't leave too much of a scent on my skin - I know that can be an issue for some as the cleanser is quite strong smelling of lavender and almond.

It was $20 but the tub came with so much in it, so although its more expensive than most cleansers, it works and comes in bulk so Im not complaining.

It also was alcohol and harsh chemical free so unlike most cleansers and even sensitive skin ones, I felt like my skin was getting cleanse without being dried or damaged.

If you're looking for a natural cleanser than works on sensitive or red prone skin, look no further.

Tips: Make sure to put the lid back on the container when you're washing your face as any water that gets into the products can ruin it.

Also keep a hold of the pottle as Lush has a redeeming system for old pottles!
