CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser

This is a good cleanser - especially on the body. It foams well and is very gentle on the skin.

I think the small pack size is deceptive, it will last a while!

I began using this on my face, but I found it just a tad too drying on my face, so I 'demoted' it to my body and I'm enjoying the results. The backs of my arms feel much smoother and those horrible red bumps have begun to reduce which is amazing!

So why isn't it love? Well, I guess as it's a 'prescriptive' product, it's tailored for results more than user experience. I like a body wash that enlists my senses, notably scent. I want a scent explosion in the shower and I want to smell nice after it. This is just all a bit meh in terms of shower experience.

That being said, if you enjoy fragrance-free products and are looking for a body wash to target KP or ezcema, then this is definitely worth giving a go!

I didn't really think I suffered too much with rough bumpy skin but dryness and irritation yes, which was one of the reasons I tend to switch to different cleansers preferably natural based and no or low fragrance.Well hello to beautiful ,hydrated ,smooth and bump free skin after only a few days of use,the difference to the texture and appearance of my skin has blown me away! Ok the packaging is pretty plain and simple almost clinical looking like something a Doctor would prescribe and the font size could of been a tad bigger for those of us with poor eyesight, but the product itself was easy to use with a pump top action that gave you practically a mess free application.The texture is quite a thick consistency,clear in colour and I loved that there was no fragrance,.Being hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic assures you that you won't react in an allergic way to the product and you won't end up with any blocked pores,a winning combination for sensitive skin. I like the consistency and it does feel lovely and soothing to use on my skin with no irritating fragrance or other ingredients that might cause my skin to flare up.I wasn't too sure about using this on my face but I went ahead and tried it using only a couple of pumps and avoiding the eye area and then applied a few more pumps of product to the rest of my body so overall I would of used approx 6 pumps.I didn't notice much of a lather on my face or body but what I did notice was how soft and smooth my skin felt and after a week of using the cleanser my skin just looked so hydrated and healthier with all dry patches completely gone! so if a product can do this to my skin in a short time then I am sold! My adult son also was intrigued about this cleanser so he tried it out on his skin and even he agreed how soft and smooth his skin was only after one use.In terms of value for money I think price wise this is a little bit up there but the difference it will make to your skin and how gentle the product is makes it worth seriously considering.I know this is one product I will continue using especially since it was developed by dermatologists and is specifically for those with sensitive skin so yes I thoroughly recommend it.

A cleanser you can comfortably use on your body...and your face?! It's true!

I suffer from eczema and have for years. I have patches over my face and body, and struggle with cleansers being too rough or too irritating.

This cleanser is really gentle, and doesn't feel overly 'soapy'. It doesn't make my skin tight and it didn't aggravate my sore and tender patches.

I found it did definitely reduce the severity of my eczema patches and combined with the cream, left skin really quite supple and soft.

I will continue using this happily and can't wait to see what further results I get!

This cleanser is AMAZING! I was honestly a little nervous trying this, the skin on my body suffers dryness, eczema, keratosis and occasionally if I don’t keep on top of it I get psoriasis too. Most body washes even sensitive ones leave my skin dry and tight almost immediately after rinsing off while I’m still in the water. However Cerave cleanser was designed for dry, rough sensitive skin so I was excited to give it a go. In a nice rectangular shaped bottle with a pump for ease of use in the shower. It has a slight scent but no fragrance and is clear and nice thickness so it doesn’t run out of your hands while washing. 3 pumps were enough for my whole body as it lathers nicely. Once rinsed off I noticed no tightness. I use this combined with the moisturiser and noticed a huge improvement after the first application. After a week of using both my skin feels and looks amazing. It’s definitely given me more smoothness and less bumps and roughness. At 33 it’s making me feel like my skin on my body isn’t as dull and dry. I will definitely repurchase again this stuff is amazing

This is a good liquid cleanser with gentle ingredients. It is fragrance free and comes with a pump which is fantastic hygiene wise. You dont need a lot as it turns into a foamy consistency. It has salicylic acid to resurface the skin and get that smooth feeling, BHAs such as SA can be harsh on the skin but nope! this one was nice and didn't even feel stripping. I used this on my face and my body. I was seeing more results on my face than my body, preventing my breakouts. It didn't seem to do a lot for my keratosis pilaris but definitely softer. I would like to try it longer on my body.

I really liked using this cleanser. I have KP on the backs of my legs and arms and I think it has really helped me. In just over a week my legs have become less bumpy and so much smoother, I will continue to use as I am hoping it will clear it up completely but I am so happy with the results my legs are the smoothest they have been in years and seem to keep improving. On a side note my partner has eczema and sensitive skin he has also been using this and there is a noticeable difference in how much smoother his ezcema has been.

I would’ve liked on the packaging to be advertised that it can help with things like KP as it does on the website as I personally don’t think I would’ve purchased and paid the $18.99 at chemist warehouse if I hadn’t known that it would help.

I also was confused whether this could be used on the face as well as on the packaging it only says avoid the eyes but if you go to the directions on the website it tells you how to apply to face. A little goes a long way so I think the price point is reasonable. It is fragrance free which I like but has a slightly strange scent to it but it doesn’t hang around.

I would recommend to anyone to try this if you have KP or bumpy/rough skin as I didn’t think anything would help.

CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser is a frangrance-free gentle gel cleaner suitable for body and face. It foams up well and can be used daily - however, I found my face broke out using it day and night, so maybe introduce it to your routine slowly if your skin is super sensitive like mine.

I loved that it didn't leave my skin feeling tight after rinse-off and that it also gently exfoliates due to the small amount of salicylic acid that it contains. It didn't irritate my eczema and it did help reduce the redness of it for sure. My daughter has keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) on her arms and legs, which makes her quite self-conscious. We've tried a lot of creams and potions (under supervision from doctors) and none have really worked. However, this reduced the redness and inflammation immediately. She does still have bumps, and probably always will, but we saw a noticeable improvement in the prominence/appearance of it. The pump bottle is also a bonus - if you have young children it helps 'regulate' the amount of product they use!

This cleanser has a very mild soapy scent. You get a lot of product in this bottle. A little really goes a long way too! Half a pump is more than enough for the face and décolletage. The pump dispenser makes it handy to use too, no fussing with popping or twisting caps. It is quite sudsy though, so I often found myself accidentally blowing bubbles with my nose...

My skin definitely feels a bit smoother after use. It wasn't very drying either which is great. You for sure still need to follow up with a moisturizer though!

I'm definitely going to continue using this product. I think it will be suitable for most skin types (I have combination + sensitive skin and prone to dry patches).

So happy to have been on this trial as I have been wanting to try CeraVe for ages now.

I have used SA cleansers before and often my dermatitis flares up but I didn’t have an issue with the CeraVe. However I do have bumps on my cheeks that didn’t go away after using this for a week, and my skin didn’t have that ‘exfoliated’ feel some of the other cleansers give.

Consistency is a bit runny but lathers well (one pump is enough) and removes makeup nicely. I also used this as a body cleanser in the hopes it would help my upper arms and thigh bumpy skin but there was no noticeable change.

I would buy this again, the price point is great for such a lovely cleanser and I’m looking forward to trying some of the other products from this brand.
