Beautiful colours and cute bottle

I bought a set of minis when I was on holiday and really loved the bright, rich colours of green and blue. Though it was a mini size, the brush was easy to hold and apply and with 1 layer was already opaque and I was done with 2 layers. Such a shame that this brand is not sold at a lot of stores that sell nail polish as would love to buy more

Colour depth without multiple layers

Love this, just one coat and you have colour depth unlike some of the cheaper brands where you need at least 3 coats. I use it on my toes fro a quick pop of colour when I'm in a hurry a sone coat will do a good job, worth the extra few dollars for the time factor!

Orly Color blast

I recently bought the orly color blast nail polish from farmers on sale for 10.49, after hearing good things about the brand. I got the shade royal purple. It's a gorgeous metallic purple with blue glitter through it. You definitely need two to three coats of this shade in particular as it isnt that opaque but it dries quickly. I am now on day 3 with no chips yet, i did apply a top coat but 3 days for me is pretty good, i seem to have a talent for wrecking my nails on day 1! I would happily buy this polish again and I think that the orly color flip range is awesome!

Orly is a favourite

After using Orly polish at polytech I went out and bought a beautiful nude shade and a rose gold shimmer. There are some gorgeous colours!! I used the polish in conjunction with Orly top and bottom coat and I can get almost a week out of a manicure if I'm careful!

Tips: Use the top & bottom coat with the lacquer. Apply in thin even coats and paint over the edge of the nail for a longer lasting manicure.

My preferred nail polish

I'm not going to mince words here: ORLY is cheaper than OPI and does just as good a job, with the added benefit of the fact that ORLY is cruelty-free!

The colour range is amazing, the product generally applies very smoothly (with a few exceptions, but that's true with every polish brand), and lasts a reasonable amount of time.

My only dislike of this brand is that I'm not overly fond of the bottles - neither the new or the old styles. They look cheap. It's the only time when companies like OPI or Essie beat them, in my opinion!

Great long lasting polish

I had heard a lot about this brand so I was very excited to finally try their polishes. I have today at I'm very happy with these polishes. This brand is not my favourite nail polish brand, but it's definitely up there. The nail polish is a smooth texture that has a good consistency that isn't on thin and isn't gloopy or sticky either. This makes it easy to apply to your nail without it streaking. I did find that you definitely need two or three coats to ensure the polish is opaque and doesn't appear patchy. I use two coats, with a top and base coat and the polish lasted at least five days before chipping. The polish has a smooth glossy finish, but I always use a top coat for added shine.

The brush is a rounded shaped with round bristles. I personally prefer nail polishes with flat brushes as it makes it easier to apply the nail polish in one stroke as it covers more of the surface of your nail. I find that the bristles on the brush are quite flexible too.

The actual polish lasts quite well in the bottle too. I've had mine for maybe eight months and the formula and texture is exactly the same as when I purchased it. This is good as the bottles are a big size, 18 ml which will last me ages. I don't often finish a bottle of nail polish. The bottle is a simple straight cylinder glassed shaped bottle with curved edges at the top. The brush handle is black with ridges and a slight hour glass shape. The rubber ridges make it easy to grip the handle.

Overall I really like this nail polish and would definitely purchase more polishes from this brand.

Orly is a very underrated brand

I absolutely love Orly nail polishes! I remember I used to only buy nail brands like sally hansen, opi and essie and it was only a few years ago that I started looking into other brands. I was so pleasantly surprised by Orly and their nail polishes that it has become one of my favourite brands

The brush for this nail polish is so so so nice because it's the perfect width for my nails and the brush doesn't leave strokes. The formulation is also great as it is not clumpy and is quite pigmented even with only 1 or 2 layers.

I'm so glad I purchased my first Orly bottle otherwise I wouldn't have discovered such a hidden gem!

Amazing <3

I really love Orly nail polishes! I've got Space Cadet (which is AMAZING, btw - Google it), Galaxy Girl and Oui. So I've only really got experience with these shimmer/metallic finishes. My favourite thing about Orly is that the bottles are quite big compared to other nail polish brands (Orly is 18ml whereas OPI is 15ml, China Glaze is 14ml, Essie is 13.5ml, etc). The formula is excellent on all of them and the colours are gorgeous! I think Orly does a really good job of coming up with interesting and unique colours. The one thing I didn't like about Orly is that the bottles are kinda ugly compared to OPI, Essie, China Glaze, etc. So I put them in a drawer instead of on my nail rack. Hahaha that is such a petty reason to dislike something, but that's nail polish obsessive problems for ya ;)

Orly all the way!!

I had never really heard enough about Orly nail polishes to take the plunge and purchase them for myself, I always through OPI was the leading nail polish brand, and little did I know they are just amazing at their marketing. So when I finally did pluck up the courage to purchase Orly Nail polishes, I had no idea what to expect since I hadn’t heard much about them.

Basically, it blew me away.

I have a blue one (will find out the shade soon), and brought it for around $10 off onceit. It has a smoothed shaped bottle with a rubbery texture lid. The nail polish wand seems to be a good length and reaches almost down to the bottom. The brush of this bottle is really nice too, it has a good shape and is slightly wider and thicker than your generic nail brush which means it covers the nail with less strokes, which also results in a smoother finish.

The thing I really love about this nail polish is the formula. Yes it smells and has the same consistency as any other polish, but my nails get full coverage with one coat of this stuff which makes it perfect for ombre nails, and using nail stencils.

This nail polish also wears really well on my nails; I can get to 5-ish days before it starts chipping which is saying a lot because some nail polishes I wear don’t even last the hour before they start to look chipped and tatty.

I really enjoy this polish and have already brought myself another colour. If you are a nail polish wearer or lover, this is well worth trying out.
