Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink

The Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink has been so worth the wait!! This gorgeous container of glossiness has impressed from day 1. The colours are stunning and it glides on beautifully. It’s quite liquid to begin with and then dries off a bit to give a lovely coverage with a hint of shine. I was really impressed that it doesn’t bleed into lines at all! You can build up the colour and coverage. It’s thicker than a gloss with more depth of colour but not as heavy as a lipstick. I’m completely sold to the point where I’ve gone out and night 3 more already! The colour range is stunning. Great price point as well, making it fabulous value for money. I will be buying more.

I love it, beautiful colour. I put this on when I went to work and it has lasted all day, it has faded a little but is still there. It did stain my coffee cup a little but not as much as my usual lippy. It didn’t stain my teeth or run off my lips. It was a little tacky on my lips to start with, but didn’t last long. It had a lovely gloss for the first part of the day until lunch time. All in all loving this vinyl ink. Would buy more colours.

I like lipsticks. I am also a lipstick floozy. I buy, I use and if it isn't love, it gets tossed into THE BASKET never to be brought out again.

I quite like liquid lipsticks, and I rode that matte wave hard. But as I get older I tend to gravitate to more sheen, just to stop the colour sinking into my crone lips.

This is a luminous lipstick with shine and colour. Once on it doesn't budge, but it also doesn't dry which is amazing.

The only thing I didn't like was I found the applicator difficult in terms of getting a neat finish. I ended up using an invisible lipliner, and then a fine lip brush dipped in the product to outline my lips before using the appplicator to fill

So I'm not a big lipstick fan, mainly because i am constantly rubbing my lips together or licking them so it comes off in a matter on minutes. This stuff is amazing!!! It honestly lasts all day. I put it on thinking it was going to be an awful matte bland neutral colour which isn't me at all, but it blended in to my normal lip colour and just had a nice subtle tint that honestly lastest all day. Applied in the morning and it was there till dinner time. After eating and drinking etc. I have the colour 20 but i plan on buying another colour which is more red/pink for nights out. I am absolutely sold on this!!!!! It isn't as moisturizing as advertised but nothing a little gloss over top won't fix if that's what you are after, more of matte finish. LOVE THIS LIPPY, you need to get it!!

I love this lipstick!It goes on like a dream, and doesnt rub off. The wand is good quality and will withstand rough tubing. The colour is really great too, very deep.

I love the glossy finish, something i've avoided for years. This is like a lip gloss, without the messy and ick!

Wow this stays on just like it says it will! Super bright, long lasting but a bit sticky. Definitely would still use it again.

I am always on the hunt for a comfortable, long lasting lip product that will actually stay in during food and I think I may have found it!

I received the lip colour ‘peachy’ and through many online swatching, I settled on this colour that is a my lips but better colour. This colour was the perfect choice as it is indeed my lips but better and provided a little hint of colour , for those days where you want something just a little bit extra to feel nice! This is also a great choice for work or everyday wear for (stay at home) mums like me who don’t really have many places to go but would like to apply a little lip product to feel nice.

Upon first application, it does feel a *little* but sticky but it settles down after a while and is comfortable to wear and almost invisible and forgotten! There is also a *slight* taste after applying but again like the slight stickyness, it goes away.

I also did specifically apply just before eating something and have to say I think it did last and wasn’t patchy like other longwear lip products. Will have to try with a variety of foods but feel might live up to its name!

This lippy is a beautiful rich shade of red. The application is super easy with the soft tip at the end. It definitely is super stay, it stays put both drinking and eating. I’m tempted to buy a few of the other shades, that’s how good it is.

The case the lipstick/gloss is in is attractive and the colour is easy to find in your handbag! When I opened it up I thought ok this looks more like a lip gloss than lip stick. Nice curved wand to apply. It was nice and smooth to apply but once it dries it feels hard, doesn’t really soften into your lips like my normal lip sticks. You can always know it’s on your lips by the hardness. It has a nice bright colour and definitely lasts a lot longer than usual lip sticks. I would probably buy it again just for the long lasting colour

I am still torn on this product because it is really great but it makes some pretty lofty promises that it doesn’t 100% hold up too.

I wanted to trial a dark shade to really put it through its paces and the colour did not disappoint. The shade Royal is super rich and pigmented and goes on extremely opaque - no streaks at all.

The texture feels nice when applying, really smooth, but it quickly gets tacky if you put too much on. So you have to get it on fast and just one coat. It’s deceptive because it goes on glossy so feels like it will be more forgiving! The wand is quite big which is ok but you need to be confident when going in for clean lines with the dark shade. It dries with a pretty matte feel.

Once it dries things are interesting.. I would not consider this high gloss or vinyl once it dries. It’s certainly not matte, and I like it! But I’d hoped for a miracle with more shine.

Now the most important bit - the staying power!! I was pretty impressed! It does not smudge BUT it does come off from the inner lips with eating. Now to be fair I REALLY put it to the test and day one and ate ramen noodle soup! So yeah unfortunately no miracle and I was left with rather dark liner that truely wouldn’t budge! I couldn’t get it off!!

The next day I ate more reasonably for lipstick but still I did loose a bit on the inner lips over time.

Over-all that loss with eating is my only negative. It stays on incredibly well when not eating and I would say if you ate more politely than I did you might get 16 hours out of it - my lip line certainly did!

I’ll definitely keep using it and I’m keen to try a lighter shade!
