I bought this mascara as had heard so much about it and wanted to see if it did what it says it should. To start off with, the brush takes a little getting used to, found it quite hard to use at first but once I had the hang of it, my lashes did look longer and fuller. It does tend to get a little clumpy so have to be careful how much you apply. My top eye lashes do look longer and fuller and yes like butterfly wings, looks fantastic when going out at night. I found it wasn't so good on the bottom lashes though, maybe because they are shorter but it tended to clump a little more.

Tips: Make sure you have a good make up remover as quite hard to get off at night.
So I heard a lot of great praises about this mascara and although I have naturally long lashes I was tempted to try it. However I didn't feel it was all that great it curled the lash up to some extent but I only got desired results when using an eyelash curler.
I loved this mascara so much I repurchased it 5 times, I was going through it so fast I thought it was just because I used it every day but I've realized they just dried up so fast. I love the look this mascara gave my eyes, it didn't clump my eyelashes and made them so long. If it wasn't so expensive i would probably repurchase but for 37 dollars and for how little it lasts I won't be.
Is a really great product but i did accidently purchase the water proof one which i love except it is extremely difficult to remove, but i stil love it haha
I have very straight Asian lashes and this is the first drugstore mascara that can actually hold a curl for a day. I bought this mascara because of the brush, I usually struggle with getting all of my lashes even at the same time so the wand is a big win for me! Using this mascara means I can apply an even amount of product to all my lashes and comb through clumps at the same time. I like that this mascara can be very natural looking (one coat) or you can build it up to give the 'false lash' effect. I've tried to layer this mascara and got up to about 5 coats before it became clumpy and spidery looking.
My only problem is that the brush is asymetrical so I need to use my left hand to apply. With a bit of practice I can achieve identical looking lashes on both sides.
I'm very impressed by this mascara and will look into buying more from L'Oreal.
Tips: Take your time to get used to the wand.
One of the best drugstore mascara's I've tried yet. It does give you volume and length. Wand has what resembles a comb on one side which I find helpful to keep lashes seperated.
I love this! Its great for length and for separating your lashes! its super black, but does fake a litttttle bit.
Tips: Keep stroking through your lashes! thats the key to separating!
The brush for this mascara annoys me a lot. Because it has a 4D structure with some brush inside an outside brush, the mascara clumps. Grrr
Tips: Replace the brush with a different one, the mascara itself it great.
I am currently using this mascara, deciding to give it a go after seeing the interestingly shaped brush. I like skinny brushes so I can get the mascara into the corner lashes, and this does exactly that.
I am not using the waterproof formula, but it still waterproof and it doesn't run throughout a sweaty gym session.
There seems to be a couple of ways to use the brush. If you hold it in the angle it was designed, and keep it parallel to your lashes, you get a nice thin coating, which can be built up. If you hold it against the lashes at a harder angle then you get more mascara on the lashes and get a thicker coat which sticks some of the lashes together. I think that is what a few people have complained about previously but I find it useful. If I want a quick thick lash effect, apply it one way, if I want a defined seperated lashes, use it the other.
Barely any clumping on this one either, the formula is 95% smooth.
For me this is as good as Covergirl Clump Crusher, but with a better brush. I am having a hard time deciding whether my next mascara will be this one or Clump Crusher again - they are both great.
I love this loreal mascara. I have long lashes so it works really well for me and I can achieve the butterfly style lashes just like the ads.
One thing i have to note is that when i first purchased this mascara it seemed very wet. Loads of product was coming out on the brush and it was just messy so I put it aside for a month or so.
When I went back to use it again it had dried up just enough to be usable and went on so flawlessly. Zero complaints after letting it dry up a bit
