If you want to brighten up your blonde and grey highlights, this really made my hair look golden instead of grey!
I have long, thick, frizzy hair and the only conditioner that has ever worked without me needing a serum was an Argan Oil conditioner from Avon. I was hoping for similar things from this conditioner as the Avon one has been discontinued.
I did not need to use a lot. This spread evenly throughout my hair and rinsed out well without leaving any residue.
We only had 4 days to use this conditioner 3 times, which is a bit excessive if you only need to wash your hair once or twice a week. This conditioner left my hair very soft and feeling lovely but it left my hair looking very fluffy and it seemed to exacerbate the flyaways. I think that with a few days in between washes, and with a bit of serum, this could be a good conditioner. I will keep using it and update this review in a few weeks times!
Tips: Leaves hair VERY soft which might be a bit much for frizzy hair. If you have thick, frizzy hair, you will probably need to use a good serum or gel to tame the flyaways.
As with the shampoo ,very pleasant fragrance ,easy bottle to open and not a lot of product needed ,on rinsing my hair felt sleek and knot free ,so results were achieved that I’d expect from a good conditioner. I like that it’s ph balanced and good for colour treated hair like mine . My scalp felt nice and it certainly performed on most levels . Just feel my hair needs a product that gives a bit more volume ,love to see this range incorporate that ,and I would be a long term buyer . However on a whole this is a product I like and would use again not sure if it’s my preferred one just yet .
Tips: Again small amount is needed only which makes this very economical
This conditioner came with the argan oil of Morocco shampoo. It has the same fabulous flip top plastic bottle, with the same bright and attractive colouring.
The product is thick and creamy and smells like heaven.Everything I love when I flip open a conditioner bottle.
I have used this conditioner twice, after washing my hair with the shampoo. My hair feels very soft and and has a delicate sweet scent after use -mmm.
I have commented under the shampoo review about some frizziness I experienced after both applications. This is not an anti-frizz conditioner though so I haven't based my review on that. Likewise to the shampoo, the conditioner claims it will purify and protect hair and result in soft free flowing hair. And so it does do what it says it will do. I'm hoping with longer term use to see continued improvement in the softness and manageability of my hair.
I do recommend it to others to try. The feel, softness, and scent are fabulous, and without any colourants, there is no staining to hair.
Tips: Use with the matching shampoo. Follow the directions to apply generously from root to tip and rinse.
This conditioner comes in a dark blue bottle and is thick and creamy. It smells quite strong on its one but leaves a nice smell in your hair (not strong at all) I used this conditioner after using the shampoo from the same regime. I put a small amount through my hair, smoothed it through, left it for about a minute and then rinsed it out. It left my hair feeling smooth and looking nice. I get a bit of frizz and I feel like this conditioner helped to tame that nose that my normal conditioner. I would definitely recommend this conditioner. It left my hair smelling divine!
Tips: A little goes a long way
Within such a short time frame it is hard to comment on how well this product helps restore damaged hair, but it felt and made my hair feel amazing while applying. The smell was nice and not overwhelming. I was able to apply it without using too much product.
Picked this up in a vault. Haven't used any products from this brand in just under ten years but excited to use this. Hair care products from this brand have always smelled amazing and this conditioner is no different. Just love the scent. Yes it lingers in your hair for a few days after washing. Especially as it still ticks a lot of boxes.
Similar to the hair mask from the same line, the consistency is thick and creamy. Extremely moisturizing, my hair is so soft after use. Is it a perfect match for my wavy/frizzy ish long hair? No I wouldn't say 100% that it is. In saying that I have noticed an improvement in my hair and would still use and repurchase this again.
The smell is divine without being overpowering. Left my hair silky but not weighed down like many other conditioners!
I like the mild smell of this product, and love the creamy consistency of it too. You only need a small amount to get the job done, although the instructions say to apply it generously. I did this on my first trial...and ended up with knot free fly-away hair that needed goop to keep it down!! My next attempt I only used a small amount, which was quite enough...and left my locks knot free and still manageable. It's a great detangler and not too smelly!
Tips: A little goes a long way!
This review is on Herbal Essences Bio-Renew Repair Conditioner with argan oil. I received this shampoo and conditioner to review (thanks BeautyReview!!). I have placed separate reviews for the shampoo, conditioner, and product system as a whole.
My hair is fine, straight, a little on the dry / dehydrated side, and has some damage but isn't terrible.
The packaging is an attractive teal colour with pretty floral designs on it, I think it's going to look great in my bathroom. It's the typical Herbal Essences design with a flip-top lid that's easy to open and securely close.
The conditioner is white and opaque, with a light fresh smell (reminds me a bit of Radox). It's a nice thick texture and easy to dispense.
Before using the conditioner, I used the matching shampoo, and have reviewed that separately. The conditioner spread easily through my hair, and felt light on application, but required two thorough rinses to get it all washed out. My hair felt a bit lifeless after rinsing.
Ultimately after drying my hair I felt that my hair was limp and dull. On repeat use I found the same thing. Unfortunately this product did not work well for my hair so I wouldn't purchase it in future.
