Veet EasyWax

Like others have said, it takes a lot longer than 20 minutes to heat up. I let it heat up for about 45 minutes. I found I had to leave it plugged in (which the instructions said was ok to do) because it cooled down pretty fast and would just pull the hairs as I was applying it, ouch! It glided it on easy with it plugged in, but the cord did get in the way a bit. The instructions were easy to follow and I had no problems waxing my legs. It wasn't very painful compared to other times I've attempted to wax! this is the first time ever I've successfully waxed my legs and I don't think I'll be going back to shaving any time soon! I like how I could use the same paper strip multiple times - I used 2 strips for each leg. I think there should of been more of the wipes though because I found one wasn't enough for my whole leg (I have thick legs lol) so I ended up needing to use all of them to get the wax residue off. The wax wasn't messy to apply which is great for beginners like me! Right after I finished waxing my legs, these dark red spots appeared where the hairs were which kinda freaked me out! but they went away after about an hour. I also decided to try this on my bikini area to see if it's worth buying the smaller applicator. Well, I will NOT be doing that haha! it hurt so much and started bleeding, so I'll stick to shaving in that area ;) Overall I love this and I'm happy that I won it from BR as I probably wouldn't have bought it after previous experiences with waxing. I find the price is reasonable for this kit and the refills.

THUMBS DOWN!

To start my review, I just want to say this device SUCKS!

It takes a really long time to heat up, the wax does not just "roll on" as advertised and is really hard to apply. It feels as though it's tugging on your skin/hairs as its being applied and does not go on even. Also the wax did not stick to the strip, and was a total nightmare. I will never use this thing again.

I am not sure if it was me doing something wrong? But I followed the instructions. Perhaps I should have waited longer for it to heat up..

It is a very cool concept though.. too bad it doesn't work :(

What a shame - sounds like the wax wasn't hot enough. It does take longer to heat up the rollers to preserve the integrity of the wax, if it heats too fast, then it's too runny and loses the tacky nature of the product and will not reheat the same.

personally loved this product

As others have said this is a cute professional looking wax kit... But there was a need for more strips as 12 isn't really enough (expecially for multiple uses)

However. This was easy to plug in and warm up over 30 mins rather than the reccommended 20. I found it went on really evenly and easily and left a very smooth hairless patch where the wax had been.

The final results was amazing, smooth and there weren't odd hairs that the wax had missed like some other waxes have.

Also really like the pinky colour of the wax it was feminine and appealing.

Ultimately I loved this kit. And I have never really been a waxer but I have to say I will probably continue on using this product as it is easy, and mess free and took maybe a total of 15 minutes to wax the legs (excluding heating time)

Awesome

Easy to use, smooth result

The wax kit comes in with a heating device set, wax (replaceable), 12 or 13 strips, and some soothing wipes. I first tested out the wax on my legs. I did leave the wax on heating at least 10 minutes longer than stated on instruction, which was 20 minutes. Then when I was applying the product, it actually went on very smoothly, did not need too much effort as I thought it would take. Good kind of surprise. I left the strips on for around 3 minutes when they were cooling down, then simply pulled them off against the way natural hair grows. The result was actually quite amazing. It did not hurt too much, also leaving the skin very smooth. I also compared the treated areas with the areas that I had IPL hair removal on, they turned out to be equally smooth. I'm very satisfied with the result. However, the device and refill do get super hot, be careful with that.

Tips: Leave the device on heating a little longer than 20 minutes, better not unattended though. Be careful when taking out refill as it's super hot!

Mess free and easy

I have used this for about a year now and really like no hot runny wax mess and spatulas. I leave it to heat up for about double the time stated on the box (it will never overheat) and use baby powder on my legs so they are dry and I can see where i have been. Much cheaper than going to a salon, almost as fast and pretty much the same results.

Professional Salon Waxing in the Comfort of Home

So I have been waxing with strips and rollers for 12 years now and have used professional in salon equipment (due to my job) and also tried some home kits out of curiosity and to see if there was a cheaper alternate out there for some of my clients. I have used the Veet easy roll on system now both on myself and on a couple of clients and I can 100% say without hesitation there is no difference between the two (professional & Veet). So happy I can finally offer a cheaper alternate to my clients. If you are having mixed results it will be in the way you are removing it - this is when you can snap the hairs instead of pulling them out at the root. Make sure u rip (and I say rip because the faster the better) the strip along and down in the opposite direction to the application as opposed to along and up, it is the upward motion of the pulling that snaps the hairs. I hope that makes sense!!!

Tips: Rip the strip off along and down in the opposite direction of application - the faster the better as with all waxing techniques and this will avoid snapping the hairs at the base as opposed to pulling them out at the root.

Very eeeeasy!

Firstly, it takes more like 30 minutes to heat up fully. I started using it after 20 minutes and the wax was definitely not hot enough but 10 minutes into it it was working a treat!

This product is so easy to use. It rolls on very evenly and applies just the right amount of wax. I think that the wax itself is good wax it is pleasantly scented, makes a little bit of a mess but no more than expected!

I found that there definitely was not enough strips supplied for multiple uses. At the beginning I had problems with the wax actually sticking to the strips and coming off. I ended up with wax stuck to my legs which was a bit of a nightmare but I think that came down to my inexperience.. and definitely got the hang of it by the end of it. I ended up using one strip multiple times with lots of wax build up on it to get the residue off.

The final result was very silky smooth hairs and a very little amount of pesky hairs left! I expected some redness as I have quite sensitive skin but it barely was visible! For an at home treatment, it definitely gave near salon results. For the cheap price, its definitely worth a go as it is a pretty economical option that leaves your legs smooth for days, and only takes about 30 mins to do your legs.

Have to try it again

I let mine heat up for almost an hour but found it did not hold and had to put it on again for another 15min. Nice smooth finish, (and it could just be me) but was just as messy. The wipes supplied were not enough. but is not hard to get more or to invest in baby oil. I think I will give it another go :)

Tips: Let it heat for a LONG time! be patient!

Not what I was after

I found it took ages to heat up, and once it did was still very hard to roll on evenly and didn't come off well, or remove all the hair. I was hoping it would work better than the wax strips you buy packs of but found that it didn't unfortunately.

Roll on wax, who knew?!

In my quest to find the perfect method for waxing the veet easy wax roll on has been a surprise. I've tried various ways of waxing - hard wax, gel wax, strip wax, "at home" salon kit wax, and all of then are annoying, hard wax obviously is for brazillian or bekini waxing but it's horrible and such a pain to do yourself (excuse the pun.) the rest is just messy and takes forever. The salon kit wax would be my second choice but why the roll-on wax is so much better for legs because it's QUICK! It's much less messy and does quite a good job at removing all the hair, only takes about 20mins to warm up and regulates its own heat, gives an even cover surface of wax when applying so it's easier not to waste unnecessarily.

Tips: Try applying two layers of wax on top of each other if the hair is stubborn to come out, try to press down quite hard so enough wax is applied, rub vigorously before removing the strip as this helps the wax to grip the hair. And be quick when you remove the strip! The quicker the less pain!
