L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut Mask Reviews

I really wanted to love this product, especially given it is such a multipurpose option and smells totally yummy. As per the instructions it can be applied to dry hair for extra moisture, as a leave in treatment, post shampoo or pre-styling. But the consistency on it seemed off, I think that is probably due to it being designed for so many things instead of just one thing well. I used it predominantly in the shower post shampooing and found that I needed to use quite a lot to feel like I got adequate coverage in my hair. My main concern would be that the converse would be true using it as a leave in treatment or applying to dry hair when it could be easy to go overboard. Given I have fine, curly hair it would be very easy to put too much in and I'd end up smelling really good but having limp, flat hair. As a personal preference I'd prefer a thicker hair mask that is just for the shower or will just use an oil post shower.

This was my favourite product out of all of the L’Oréal Coconut Regime products! I love leave in conditioners as I find they suit my hair better than normal wash and rinse conditioners. The smell was Devine. I did notice though after a day or so my hair was greasier than normal, but I’m not sure if it was from this, or I used too many moisturising products. I think I may have to purchase this when I run out! (Especially because my partner thinks it’s good in his hair too)!!!

The L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut Mask is a great easy to use hair mask for its price point.

This hair mask is probably got the most subtle scent of the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut hair range. The texture is pretty thick and a little goes a long way when it comes to coverage. I like how you can use it multiple ways on wet or dry hair. You can even use it as an ordinary conditioner at a stretch.

Unfortunately, I don't think this product which fix any serious damage done to hair as a result of styling (e.g. Heat or Dye).

I have been using the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Coconut Mask over the past couple of weeks.

It has a definite coconut aroma, which I quite like.

They say this hair mask can be used in a large variety of ways.

I only used the hair mask has a conditioning treatment. After shampooing, I massaged a large dollop of mask into my hair and left it on for quite a few minutes.

Unfortunately, when I brushed my hair, it still had tangles - which was disappointing.

I will still continue using the mask, to see if eventually my hair detangles.

There is a spelling mistake on the label!!

A very large jar (300 mls) of white cream the consistency of a facial moisturizer with a very faint coconut smell. At first I was confused about the use of both the Hair Oil and the 1001 Users Mask product as they both seemed to claim to have very similar functions. This product can be used several ways, as a pre shampoo to give your hair loads of nourishment, as an overnight treatment or as a leave in treatment so I tried it as a leave in conditioner after I have washed and dried my hair rather than using the Hair Oil. It give my hair the wet look for a while but once I styled my hair this seemed to disappear. However unlike the Hair Oil I found my hair was a little greasy and lank. This was more so the next morning Later in the week I tried the product as an overnight nutrition boost and when I washed my hair the next morning it was very soft, and healthy looking. However I do wonder if both this product and the Hair Oil are needed. I think if you are washing and blow drying you hair every day then this product could be a good restorative but for me I found with using the combination of Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Oil my hair was looking healthy and I did not need the 1001 Users Mask product as well

I liked the feeling of this product on my hair ,felt cooling and soothing . I combed mine through and left it on for an hour or so . To be honest when not using the products in between washes ,my hair still feels quite dry ,so I’m not convinced these are working 100 per cent . However the day I use them ,my hair looks better ,feels better and is soft and bouncy ,just lacking in body ,I usually use body shampoos etc so did notice a slight difference,seems hard to get all you want in one product . I will continue to use the products ,so be interesting to see how nourished my hair looks and feels over more time . For the price one pays these do deliver quite well as promised at least 80 per cent ,so can’t complain . Not sure the mask really makes much difference but worth trying if you want improvement in the condition of your hair . I think I personally would prefer a different fragrance ,more a fruity one perhaps .

No difference in my hair. Left confused as to why it didn't work. Left in a little longer to see if maybe that would help. No change.

This mask claims to be a “Deep nutrition with no weigh down” which I do not agree with. I have quite dry hair, (this mask is made for normal to dry hair) and I do not agree with this statement. While it didn’t weigh my hair down, it didn’t Norish my hair at all. My hair felt soft while it was on, but after it rinsed off, my hair didn’t feel soft, it kinda felt like straw. I wouldn’t use this again.
