L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner Review

I purchased this in the beauty vault with the shampoo and was pretty keen to try it, especially as it contains Argan oil, and I am always on the look-out for a good conditioner. I have dry, damaged hair and constantly deal with frizz and flyaways.

It comes in an orange plastic bottle with a flip top, easy to open and use. The product is lovely and creamy with a beautiful scent.

On application it is soft and glides through hair like silk. I loved the creamy feel of it. It rinsed out easily and didn’t leave any heaviness, stickiness or build up.

My hair feels soft and smooth after drying, blow dries nice and smooth, and after regular use certainly seems to have reduced frizziness. Like the shampoo it claims to nourish and tame, with lasting smoothness, and I believe it meets these claims. It also says it has thermal protection, and I noticed my hair didn’t feel dry after blow drying, on single occasions, nor after several days in a row. It continues to stay soft and silky overnight and is still smooth in the morning.

I would purchase it again and I do recommend it to others to try, particularly for dry hair.

At around $9 I think it is a great product for the price.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner in the last Beauty Review Vault.

The Conditioner comes in a bronze coloured bottle with an easy to open flip top lid. I like that the lid is flat, as the opening of bottle faces downwards and then you can capture all of the product. There is no waste.

What stood out for me was the Conditioner is enriched with Argan Oil, Thermo Protection and it's Anti Frizz.

I do not need to use a large amount of L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner in my long, thick hair. It lathers easily and rinses out of my hair leaving it to feel amazing. The Conditioner itself is a similar colour to the packaging and thick in texture. I always leave in for a couple of minutes before rinsing out.

L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner has a nice fruity/fresh smell but the fragrance does not linger in my hair.

I use the matching Shampoo before Conditioning. My hair looks shiny and there is less frizz and fly-aways, particularly around my face.

This is a good product that is readily available from Supermarkets or Pharmacies.

This is another product I picked up from the last beauty vault and I was quite excited to try this on my crazy hair, it's not curly but if I let it air dry after iv washed it it tends to turn into a fluff ball. The conditioner it's self is a nice caramel sort of colour and it has a nice smooth silky texture which is really easy to get out of the bottle, especially when the conditioner is in one of those upside down bottles that I love as it makes it so easy to get every last drop out of.

When useing this conditioner with the matching shampoo I noticed a difference in my hair, it wasn't as silky as I would of hoped for but I guess you can't expect conditioner to work like magic.

This product was AMAZING on my 2 year old sons hair!! He has really tight ringlet curly hair and this conditioner along with the matching shampoo seamed to define his curls and stopped them going so fluffy

After just reviewing the Shampoo here is my review on the conditioner... (added the same start just for background info on my hair)

I have salon dyed blonde wavy/curly hair and I heat style it every day + always dry it with a hair dryer which of course means its frizzy too, so this should ideally be a good match.

Really easy bottle to use (almost too much comes out it you squeeze too hard, so be careful) and its in an unmistakably bright orange bottle (which is great cause hubby then knows which one to use!)

I find this conditioner great after shampooing with the same shampoo. My hair feels soft, clean and mostly nourished.

I still always have to follow up with hair product to take the frizz on my hair, but even with high end conditioner I have to aswell. This is a great all round conditioner when you can nab it on special. Don't expect miracles, but its better than a lot of other cheapies I've tried, and for that reason I would purchase it again.

I'm a big Elvive fan but don't usually use this particular range. My local pak n save has an abysmal selection though and didn't have my usual Elvive so I thought I'd branch out and try this one.

Like the whole range of Elvive it smells amazing. This one is slightly nutty and evokes luxury when you smell it.

The conditioner formula is thick and luxurious and I didn't find I needed to use an excessive amount like I often do with supermarket conditioners. It also is slightly marbled, presumably with some sort of oil or concentrated smoothing formula which makes it feel fancy.

I found it okay-good with my frizz. To be honest I was expecting more. It was great on the ends but my flyaways were a bit beyond it which is a bit weird as other Elvives not targeting frizz seem to work better.

All in all I think this is a great supermarket conditioner and at the price it's at you can easily play around with other varieties until you find v one that's right for you.

This product smelt and felt great. However, I was disappointed with the end results, frizz wise. I naturally have big loopy curls and after I had used this I let my hair dry naturally but there was still quite a lot of frizz. I love the feel of this product though so I'm going to give it another go when there is less humidity in the air. I'd definitely recommend for girlies with straighter hair. But, it smells wonderful so I'll definitely still use it and try and make it work for me

This is a very good product, it has a lovely fragrance, moisturisers my hair well but I did need to use quite a bit each time probably because my hair it quite dry on the ends. I felt it did make my hair smooth & less frizzy. I would recommend it to those with dry hair but for others like myself with coloured hair & a perm I felt my hair needed more nutrients to the ends as my hair was started to feel dry on the ends.

Ive been using this for the past week, and i must admit it really does make a difference, i can notice my hair is a lot smoother than usual. And its not too heavy for my hair like a lot of supermarket brands are for me. Would definatly use again :) Thanks BR! :)

After using this my hair was super healthy; smooth not frizzy and generally felt better. The conditioner definitely does what it says. Unfortunately though I lost some of the curl to my hair when I used this, though my hair felt great it just went kinda wavy

I liked the smell and feel of the conditioner, my hair didn't feel oily after using it. It settled my hair down and made it smooth and manageble. I did find after a week of using the shampoo and conditioner I did get a touch of dandruff. But I started using the conditioner every second to 3rd day and used the shampoo everyday and found the dandruff cleared up.
