L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Conditioner Review

I was a bit disappointed with the conditioner as it left my hair very matty after washing it out. My hair felt nicer after washing out the shampoo. The conditioner was in an attractive bottle, smelt pleasant and a little bit went a long way.It did do what it said and increased volume or thickness of my hair, but hair was not as flexible . People did comment on my hair had a nice shine but I felt it was very dry so not the best choices for me. The knots were horrendous, hence having to use a brush in shower to lessen it. It does say on the bottle to use the shampoo, conditioner and serum together, I only trialled the shampoo and conditioner, so maybe if had used the serum in conjunction with it, it would of made a different review. I would recommend for someone who has thin hair, but did not suit me with having fine and lots of it.

I used the conditioner regurlarly once I received it. I liked the bottle shape, colour and size. It has a faint fragance which smelt similar to the shampoo. It has a creamy consistancy and I had to use a generous amount to enable it to go through my long hair. Using more of the conditioner could mean it would be costly to use all the time. I have extremely thin and fine hair, so while I didn't notice a visible difference in the thickness of my hair I definitely felt a difference to the touch. The thickness stayed at the same level and didn't increase with each use. It was also a little difficult to run a comb through my hair after washing the conditioner out and my hair felt slightly brittle. My hair did soften up on using the Firalogy treatment product though.

Like the shampoo when I used the product, while I was in the shower, my hair felt thicker. I'm not sure how much thicker it looked once I had styled it after the shower but it was a good conditioner for a supermarket conditioner.

The conditioner wasn't a patch on the shampoo. Maybe they work together, but it was hard to tell. Same smell as the shampoo, but not quite as strong. The Fibralogy Conditioner was a nice thick well conditioning conditioner and I think it probably contributed to the nice feel to my hair once it had dried. At first I thought it was working in unison with the Fibralogy shampoo, but I did a sneaky test by using a different conditioner with the Fibralogy shampoo and it gave the same result - a nice boofhead of silky hair. Now, it's still very good value, $6.50 for each bottle of shampoo or conditioner (that was The Warehouse prices) and I would probably use in tandem,although I think the conditioner needs a bit of at tweek to make it stand out on its own.

Im not 100% convinced that these products actually add more volume. Maybe my hair just sucks. I feel that with continued use these two products could make my hair feel thicker

I used this in combination with the ELVIVE Fibralogy shampoo. I have used it for the last two weeks, and haven't noticed any difference in volume! This product is touted as 'thickening hair from the inside', but I really don't think it makes much difference. However, I did find that this product left my hair feeling fresh and clean (along with the shampoo). I would still use both the shampoo and conditioner, but would maybe add another styling product to give it more volume!

I damaged my nails really badly by having a gel manicure at a mall salon some 3 months ago and my nails have been struggling to recover, splitting as soon as they get any length.

One of the great side effects of this conditioner was that it has helped my nails on their road to recovery. I noticed after my first wash that my nails were thicker and felt healthier - so I have taken to putting extra on my nails each time I washed my hair in the shower - wonderful side effect thanks L'Oreal.

I used this product only on the ends of my hair, not all over (and my fingernails)

My hair is long, thin, coloured, damaged, grows slowly, breaks easily and has a large amount of hair fall each day. After one months of use, I didnt notice any difference in my hair, but I was asking alot from this product in a short period of time, because my hair grows so slowly. I think that after 2-3 months of using this product I would see wonderful results just like my finger nails, and I look forward to seeing the change over the coming months as I continue to purchase and use it.

I trialled this product with the Fibralogy shampoo, I don't think you can really use one without the other as the shampoo made my hair difficult to brush without the conditioner and I don't put conditioner on my scalp which is where I need the most volume.

My hair is thin, straight and long.

The packaging is very pretty and looks expensive and professional.

This conditioner is very thick in consistency, more like a treatment than a conditioner, so you don't accidently squeeze too much out and a little goes a long way; I've used this 6 times and still have half the bottle left so it's well worth the price. The bottle is a little top heavy though so it kept falling off the side of my bath tub.

I'm sensitive to fragrance but this didn't bother me, it smells sweet but pleasant.

After my first wash I noticed no change to my hair and was disappointed but then I read the bottle and it said the thickening is more noticeable wash after wash and lo and behold after wash number two and beyond I was pleasantly suprised; I definately had more texture and volume, whether wet or dry, blow dryed or not, brushed or unbrushed, although I feel this was more from the shampoo than the conditioner.

I would recommend this to use in conjunction with the Fibralogy shampoo if you have hair like me as I'm up to wash number 6 now and my hair is looking and feeling thicker and fuller which is exactly what I wanted and exactly what the product said it would do although I feel this was more from the shampoo than the conditioner.

I was very excited when the parcel containing the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo and Conditioner arrived in my letterbox. So excited in fact that I almost jumped straight in the shower to give this miracle a go. When I did finally use the shampoo the next morning I was very pleased with it's thick rich consistency and the lovely thick lather it created. However I was disappointed with the lack of fragrance which is something that I personally enjoy when washing my hair. The conditioner was also lovely and rich and creamy, but again missing the ping of fragrance. I was disappointed that after towel drying my hair it had a matted feel to it although it did dry up ok. I decided to keep trying the combination and after a week I stopped as I didn't like the way my hair was feeling. It had a straw feel to it - like it was being striped of nourishment rather than being feed. I also can't say that after a week my hair felt thicker - just drier. For this reason I stopped using both the shampoo and conditioner. I understand that there is also a serum that goes this the Shampoo and Conditioner to use afterwards. Maybe this is needed to get the full effect, however that was not part of the trial. Although I have used and liked L'Oréal products in the past, I will not be using or purchasing this particular product again as it is just not right for my hair type and I feel doesn't really do what it promises.

Whilst I LOVE the double serum in this range, I am not quite as impressed with the shampoo and conditioner.

The condtioner is thick and creamy and very nice to use, has a pleasant perfume. To begin with, I did not notice any difference in the thickness of my hair but after about a week and half of using both the shampoo and conditioner, there was a bit of thickening/extra body. I am HUGE fan of L'Oreal, but I use mainly their Salon products and although I liked this product, it didn't thrill me enough to change to it. I would say it's definitely worth a try though to anyone who would like more body! The conditioner perhaps wasn't quite nourishing enough for the ends of my coloured hair but it did a very good job all the same. I must say that I really like the Fibralogy products and I did see and feel a difference in the thickness of my hair. However I'm not totally sure that it wasn't just the serum that made the difference. I will buy a bottle of the serum and trial this by itself to be sure.
