L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

This shampoo I thought might be the answer to my problem of my frizzy hair however this shampoo left my hair fizzier than if I used normal shampoo, not only that as soon as I put any product in it felt heavy and dirty products that I had previously used that didn't give me this feeling.

I wont be buying this product again and wouldn't recommend it to others.

I have enjoyed using this product and although it doesn't 'tame the frizz' quite as I would have liked it does make it easier to straighten my hair compared with other hair care products I have used. My hair feels soft and looks shiny after washing, drying and straightening and the straightening efforts seems to last longer. I would definitely recommend this product for the way it makes my hair look and feel but not as a smooth intense option.

While this smelled better than my regular shampoo it certainly didn't do anything for the frizz. My hair had recently been processed quite a bit so was dry and frizzy so it was able to put it to the test. I was skeptical that a shampoo could do much as conditioners seem to impart moisturisers more and I was right to be skeptical. I tried a wash without a conditioner to see how it performed and also washes with a conditioner. Both disappointing.

Whenever supermarket brand hair products claim to make a noticeable change to your hair, I'm usually pretty skeptical. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It's in your standard Elvive bottle; basic (but not unattractive) packaging with a simple pop top, rather than the annoying pop up lids that make it difficult to get the last of the product out. It doesn't have a strong fragrance, the best word to describe its smell would be 'clean'... which is also the best way to describe what it does to your hair! This product refreshed my hair without drying it out, and seemed gentle enough to use daily (though I usually only wash my hair every few days). I didn't notice any increase in shine (my hair is naturally fairly shiny anyway) but I definitely noticed that my hair was a lot smoother after using this product! After blow-drying my hair I usually have a lot of unwanted volume and frizz, and have to use a serum or straightener to get it really sleek. After using this product, I felt like my hair was ready to go after just being blow dried, which saves me a lot of time getting ready in the mornings. Of all of the supermarket brand hair products I've tried, this one is probably the product that I'd most likely buy again, as I definitely noticed a difference in my hair after using it. I would recommend it to girls with frizzy hair, or who spend a lot of time styling their hair (especially with heat).

Actually really enjoyed washing my hair with thos shampoo. I normally find my hair a horrible tangled mess after shampooing and I'm instantly reaching for the conditioner but it was a whole different story with this. And I notice my frizz didn't come back as soon as my hair was dry and brushed. Nice scent not overly chemical smell like some other brands. Will be buying some more once its gone that's for sure!

I have in the past tried many "frizz free" shampoo's that have let me down. With L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense I instantly noticed a difference. When drying my hair it felt so much softer and I didn't have half as many tangles as I usually find. My hair on the day of washing looked a lot more tame however the day after not so much. Was really impressed with this product for my wavy hair and will definitely be purchasing it again :)

I found this product really easy to apply, lavers up really well except it made my hair extremely dry and found I had a flakey scalp when finishing my product trial.. I haven't enjoyed my experience with this product and would definitely never use again

I have been using this shampoo for over a week and can definitely tell the results! My hair gets frizzy after a wash it and dry it or let it dry naturally but while I have been using this shampoo I have noticed my hair has been softer, less frizzy and also shinier (and not oily). The shampoo smells nice and is smooth but not oily and works even better when you use both the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense shampoo and conditioner together to maximize your results :-)

I have long coloured hair with damaged ends that tends to get very dry. I usually mix an match what shampoo I use on it, because otherwise I find my hair 'gets used to' the product and it stops working as well. So I added this into my regular rotation, I got the best results when I used it in conjunction with the matching conditioner.

Pros: Helps to keep my frizz prone hair smooth, moisturizing enough even for my very dry hair, and left it feeling soft and looking shiny. In short this product did exactly what it said it would!

Cons: It didn't spread that easily through my hair, and it also didn't leave my hair feeling detangled in anyway in the shower before conditioning. But most shampoos don't! Also by day two my hair no longer felt as soft nor was it as smooth as the first day but I guess that's to be expected

Overall I liked this shampoo and it will probably become my regular one that I use in between washes with my salon shampoo.

First application I thought it smelt gorgeous, lathered up easily appeared to be doing what it said it would. I have really curly frizzy hair when it's in it's natural state and noticed my hair felt softer looked shinier and not so much frizz. This was short lived after using for a week and a half I noticed no change hair was back to normal. It doesn't stand out for me compared to any other supermarket shampoo. Will probably not purchase in the future.
