L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

I'm not sure if it's out of sheer desperation to reverse the signs of my hair weakening and falling out that I anticipated some amazing results that I am disappointed to be met with mildly reasonable and mostly underwhelming results. What I did notice is cleaner, softer hair with a pleasant smell. What I didn't notice is any difference in the rate of hair loss. In saying that I have only been using this product for a few weeks and while the packaging boasts "after one use" I do think one needs to use this sort of thing over a long period of time in order to see noticeably different results. Would I buy it again, probably yes, would I highly recommend it? Meh! Don't know.

I was quite keen to try this one as I was the prime example of clogging up the shower drain with my hair which had only started happening since having children. I actually didn't know there was a product like this so put my hand up for it. It is a great product, although it didn't entirely stop my malting hair it did make a significant difference as it is coming out a lot less so I would recommend this product to people that have this same problem of hair falling out in the shower etc. although I feel to get the full effect it would probably take wee while and perseverance. It had a nice fragrance to it as well so I give it an 8/10. Great product.

I was super excited to give the Elvive Arginine range a go because i was freaking out a little about the amount of hair fall i was seeing in the shower. The back of the bottle states that "hair fall will be reduced by 64% after the first wash" It unfortunately wasn't so. However, now that i have used it in conjunction with the conditioner for a while I can say that my hair fall has reduced significantly and I no longer fear that my hair is falling out. The shampoo itself foams up nicely so you don't require too much for a nice clean and the scent is rather pleasant.

I have bleached dry/damaged hair so get a bit of breakage and I've also noticed a bit more hair fall than usual so thought this would be a good pick for me to try and I like the result.

The packaging is fine easy to use and the product amount is a standard 250mls. I only needed a small amount and it lathered up really well so felt like I was getting a good clean.

Even before applying the conditioner my hair felt quite soft and after using the conditioner I blow dried and my hair felt great really soft and also had lots of shine the ends were still a bit dryer than when I use my fav salon shampoo but still awesome results. I also think I did notice a bit of a change in hair fall but it may have been because I was washing my hair more often to get good use out of the product before reviewing.

I have very fine hair that's badly damaged from frequent colouring and heat styling. It's extremely prone to breaking off, so I was keen to give this product a try.

On a completely unimportant note, my first impression was delight at the bold black and hot pink colour scheme on the bottles. Obviously this isn't crucial to the product's performance, but who doesn't like having something good to look at in the shower?

The shampoo lathered up well and had a great floral-like scent. My hair felt clean and fresh afterwards, but admittedly I wash every day and I don't really use any styling product apart from a heat protectant spray, so there normally isn't a great deal of build up for me to wash out anyway.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't notice a great deal of difference in the amount of hair fall that I experienced but it is a difficult thing to quantify. Either way, I still liked the smell and the way this product made my hair feel so I would definitely buy it again.

I have been using this shampoo for well over a fortnight, which a great, as I need to change shampoos more often. Firstly, the scent of the shampoo is very pleasant, and leaves my hair smelling nice I suffer from hair fallout and breakage, which makes this shampoo perfect for me. I have noticed somewhat of less fall out, but it did leave my hair feeling a bit dry. Overall, I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

Ive always wanted to try this shampoo, and it has lived up to my expectations! Smells amazing, removes all oil and product build up, and leaves hair feeling refreshed. Im not sure on the claim of preventing hair fall but Ill re-purchase again none the less. Good quality shampoo for the price.

At first I was a little sceptical about this product. I received both the shampoo and conditioner for the trial from BR. When I wash my hair I have always had enough hair fall out to almost make a wig. My mum always used to joke that it is a wonder that I'm not bald already! Quite possibly the best part about having thick, but straight hair, there's enough to go around. The shampoo smelt pretty good, as the L'Oréal brands do, so that was a bonus. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week depending on how the week goes, so it took a good two weeks before I noticed any results. By the second-third wash I was admittedly a bit disappointed as I was expecting results, however by the fourth wash, BAM! I found close to half the amount of hair that usually came out while washing it was falling! (Even my boyfriend was a bit surprised by the size of my 'hair ball'). Another good point for me was it did not leave my hair feeling greasy and heavy like some nourishing shampoos can do. I would recommend this product, but expect results to take it's time to show. I would recommend this as a decent supermarket branded shampoo.

A bit of background on myself is that I’ve had significant hair fall over the past 3 or 4 years. As someone who has always had a very thick and full mane, this has not been a not a happy occurrence. So when I got this shampoo in my hands, I wanted to take as much time as possible to trial in the hopes that I would have a positive experience.

First off, the packaging is very appealing. The black, silver and hot pink bottle is a truly sophisticated offering from L'Oréal Paris Elvive and makes for a genuine stand-out on shelf. The scent is really incredibly pleasant and not too heavy or overpowering. I’ve been trialling this shampoo for going on 3 weeks now and wash my hair about 3 times a week. While I have not noticed a significant decrease in hair loss, I will say that the application does not leave my hair overly dry and squeaky. It also makes for very manageable, smooth and silky hair. No shampoos that I have tried recently have left my hair feeling this good.

So while I cannot agree with the claim that it reduces hair fall, I will say that I’ve been having great hair days in the last few weeks. For that reason alone, I’d keep buying the product as a good general use shampoo.

I'm not sure where to begin with this shampoo... It definitely left my hair feeling lush and healthy-looking, but I'm not sure how effective it was at reducing my hair fall. I usually only wash my hair every 3 days or so, and so maybe I didn't wash my hair enough to truly see the results, but I didn't really feel like the shampoo reduced my hair fall overly much. Towards the end of the the trial I did see a bit of a decrease, but it didn't decrease my hair fall as much as I expected. Otherwise it was a really nice shampoo, as it smelt really nice and left my hair in a very silky-smooth and healthy condition. I will definitely continue to use it as my hair fall did start to reduce a bit, but it unfortunately it just didn't have the drastic/immediate effect I was expecting/hoping for
