L`oreal casting creme gloss

Apart from the packet being broken when I received it the goods were not damaged.I found it to be really easy to it.I would use it again. The colour that I picked was Caramel which was just about my real colour, the package was not all box so its was good for the value. Since I put the dye in I have been told that I look 10 years younger.

Tips: I would tell my friends, plus I took a pic before and after of myself and put it on facebook to see what people thought about the colour

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Excited to receive the product as I was ready to colour my hair again. Loved that it had no ammonia that was a great plus as I hate the smell and the 'delicate fragrance' was nice. I found the product easy to use and as I have quite long thick hair was pleasantly surprised that there was enough product to complete my whole head of hair. The final result was good and my hair looked lovely and shiny the way it should. The instructions were a bit distracting with the other language and the way it was set out but not too big a problem. I would use the product again and recommend it, good experience with it.

Shiny and feels great

I usually dye my hair with supermarket hairdyes which are quite messy and drip everywhere. After using the L'oreal casting creme gloss i wont be using anything else this is amazing so easy to mix, no mess and great even coverage especially if you are like me and have grey hairs. My hair is shoulder length and i had more than enough creme left. My hair feels and looks great and it smells great too. L'oreal casting creme amazing product.

Tips: Put moisturiser on your forehead behind your ears and back of your neck to help wash off any excess dye.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss in 323 Dark Chocolate

I really like this product L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss. I tend to have a slightly sensitive scalp so I am really pleased when I find something that doesn't irritate me and does what it says!

The packaging works well, shows pictures of the hair colour, reads well. Inside are a pair of gloves, the colour mixture and conditioner for afterwards. I would also suggest having a rubbish bag ready for afterwards, old dark clothes as you don't want any stains. Easy to follow instructions, mean that applying colour is easy, and there is a lot of mixture so unless you have really really long hair its unlikely you will run out of mixture. I also have a roll of glad wrap handy and wrap up my hair once applied so I don't drip dye everywhere as it stains!!! The dye smells quite pleasant, not overly chemically. it does look really dark while on your hair before you wash it out, but don't worry it'll be fine. Rub off any dye that has landed on skin as soon as you spot them or they will be there awhile! After 20 minutes, wash the dye out in the shower until water runs clear then apply the conditioner. My hair was so very soft afterwards I didn't realise how much it needed a conditioning treatment.

Final results - the colour is a bit darker than the picture shows, but has a nice dark chocolate sheen in the sunshine. Hair is really soft and conditioned. My few white hairs are now a lovely dark chocolate. Perfect!

Tips: Be vigilant for any accidental dye spots on your skin or any on the basin/bathroom area, and rub them out immediately with water or they will stain!

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Great product easy to apply, left my hair shiny soft and manageable the conditioner that was included is very nourishing.I would definitely recommend the product

Tips: to get the true colour in some cases if the base colour is too dark you must pre lighten to a pale yellow prior to applying the casting creme

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss 535 Chocolate

I've never used a temporary colour before, but after using this one, it's definitely going to be my go-to colour from now on! Not only did the colour come out to almost the same shade on the box, but it smelt nice and was not too over powering. The bigger size conditioner bottle was good too, and the conditioner lasted me at least 5 washes. I've had this colour in my hair for about 2 weeks now, and I have to wash my hair every second day so it doesn't look so limp, and the colour has faded a little, although it doesn't wash out so much that you can see the colour running down the drain, which is always disheartening. The conditioner does what it says it will, it gives my hair an amazing glossy shine, one that any other conditioner I've used doesn't do, and that's a bonus in my book. Certainly a colour i will recommend to family and friends from now on.

Tips: Only use as much conditioner as you actually need, it adds amazing shine and that's something you may not want to waste. If not washing you hair while showering i would recommend covering your hair with a shower cap, as the hot water may fade the colour faster than you'd like.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

I have been using permanent hair dye's for the past several years so this was my first time using a semi permanent in some time. So far I am impressed and have found the dye to last my washes - I probably wash my hair more than I should but have very thick hair that needs regular washing to avoid dryness. The hair dye comes with a very generous sized conditioner sample which has a lovely scent that I enjoyed and got 3 applications from. I was also impressed with the fit of the gloves, they were not oversized like most others I've used in the past. One thing that really stood out for my was the pleasant smell of the hair dye as its not so strong smelling like others which I noticed did not irritate my scalp like hairdyes usually do. The coverage was great and my overall impresion was very positive. So good I'll be purchasing this one next time I need to do another Dye.

Tips: I use paw paw ointment around my forehead, ears and neck to avoid staining.

Exceeded my expectations!

I left this review a little late as I wanted to make sure I gave the dye a fair shot and could see how it performed over a long period. As soon as I unboxed the dye, I was sold. The packaging is not like any dye I've used before. It's incredibly well thought out and easy to use. The bottle is designed in such a way that you can squeeze every last bit of dye out - not being able to use all the dye is a problem I have had with other at home kits. Because of the squeeze tube shape, you can't sit the bottle on its base like standard dye bottles; but they do have a fix for this - the box has a pre-cut hole in the side that simply push in to create a little bottle holder. Super handy for mixing the dye and sitting the bottle in during application. The applicator tip was also great for parting hair. Now, onto the actual product... The first thing I noticed was how the formula looked in the bottle. I had the colour dark brown and it mixed to a lovely smooth chocolate colour in the bottle. But my favourite feature would have to be the smell - the no ammonia is a god send and the reason I rate this so highly. I am particularly sensitive to the strong smell of dye and sometimes find I get an itchy head during application. Not with this product! It smelt fruity and was just like wearing a hair mask. It developed nicely and washed out easily, although it did leave some stubborn marks on my white shower which I found harder to get out than usual. After my hair dried I was really impressed with the colour. I am a natural blonde but I have been home dying my hair dark brown for about 10 years now. I find that if I put dark brown over a previous application it can end up looking incredibly dark and almost black which I do not like. I was apprehensive about using this dye so close to my last treatment but I was really happy with the results. It didn't make the colour darker and the reddish/brown tones look great in natural light. I try to spend around $12 when I buy my bottle dye, but after my experience this dye will be my go to. Although priced slightly higher than most home dyes, this product is definitely worth it.

Tips: Be careful when washing out in the shower - the product seemed to mark my white shower walls more than regular dye but did come off with a good scrub!

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

I was picked for the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss trial.

I choose Black Currant.

Firstly I love the packaging, it's eye catching and a fun shaped box.

When I first opened up the box , there was a pleasant fruity scent coming through.

I must say the gloves were very fitting and I have long skinny fingers and bony hands and I was a little taken back by how small they were. These gloves wouldn't be suitable for someone with larger hands.

The mixing of the colour and the developer was easy.

Great bottle! Easy to handle. And very easy to mix the two together.

I was surprised at how much product came out of the bottle I was almost able to spread through all my hair and I have long hair.

It did not stink , it did not burn or itch or annoy me.

I love the fruity scent.

It washed off my skin with ease, however did run in the shower ALOT.

The Conditioner was amazing , very thick and creamy, it drenched my hair in moisture, I was surprised at that. Yummy scent.

After towel drying my hair , my hair is soft, shiny and not at all looking like I just coloured it!!

I will reuse again! I really liked the formula, scent and performance.

Also..it does covers greys exceptionally well!!

**thought I'd update it's now the 9th Feb, the colour is still strong in my hair, I have an inch of regrowth and still the same colour. So there you go :)

Tips: Apply oils (any olive, argan, rosehip) around hairline, forehead, ears to help prevent staining.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Choice: 1010 VERY LIGHT ICED BLONDE

I think making a colour choice over the internet might have been a little ambitious - I think this was slightly too light for me, however I'm pretty sure with some toning and fading it will look killer!

Firstly, the price for this DIY colour is damn good.

28 washes: I wash my hair about three times a week so this will last me a VERY good amount of time! Plus blonde doesn't really fade... I'll defo need to touch up my roots before that time is up tho!

I personally love that this product has no amonia in it. Not only was there no burning head, there were no tears haha.

The instructions with this colour are excellently simple and easy to follow. It does do what it says in the fact that its a nice thick texture and therefore no dripping messiness.

I always love using the little conditioner packets that come in these and this one was no exception. My hair felt SO good - not that it had just unnaturally been abused into a preferable shade of blonde! Even after blow drying it felt great. No straw like feel here.

My regrowth was pretty bad and I attempted to only colour that part of my hair - I am not a hairdresser so it was tricky to do on my own. Its a little rough but I'm not picky so I'm ok with it! Looking at the L'Oreal website, I might now invest in one of the products from the Elvive Colour Protect range. I already have the Total Repair 5 Instant Miracle which I didn't use after washing (just the conditioner) might will give that a go in a few days when its time to wash again.

Overall: I think this is a really good product! Next time I think I'll go to a pharmacy or Farmers to look at the colour selection before making my choice :-)
