I tried the BB cream for normal skin as I don't have any major problem areas. My skin occasionally can get oily with some makeup a but I didn't have a problem with this one. I first noticed it was a lot thicker than other brands I have tried which made me think it would have better coverage, which it didn't. However it did mean I didn't need to use as a much. It is easy to apply; I just used my fingers and it is very light. It works like any other BB cream - evens skin tone while providing light coverage. It did brighten my skin instantly which other brands I've used don't. It has a light perfumey smell but this only seemed to last while being applied. It lasted all or most of the day and I found it didn't need to be reapplied. This is only a few dollars more than some other brands and because I found it better I would have no problem paying for it and using it again. Overall I would recommend for anyone who wants healthier, smoother looking skin with light coverage. I would also say that this is more of a day time makeup rather than night just because of the minimal coverage (but this is all BB creams not just this one).

Tips: Use powder or bronzer overtop for more coverage
Lovely product, really nice smell, coverage was good. Felt nice on and didn't feel heavy, which was great. I would recommend this to someone else that is wanting a light foundation especially for those days when you don't want to wear a full foundation. It left my face soft and smooth and not oily. It covered up my imperfections without feeling heavy.
Well I'm not a huge fan of this! I found if had to use a lot of the product to get an even coverage. The product was quite thick and looked a little bit orangey so the normal shade was possibly to dark for me. It felt a bit oily and got worse as the day went on. I have combination skin and don't like having any unnecessary shine! I didn't feel like it actually did my complexion any favours. Overall I really don't rate this bb cream, so probably won't be using it again. Perhaps it would work better for different skin types though.
My skin is in good condition as in well hydrated so also good tone and texture, i get the odd breakout and have a lot of pigmentation (freckles) so i like to try and even out the appearance of them a little. The consistency of the product is rather smooth and light and was easy to apply, i would just rub it on my fingertips and then over the face. It washes off of the fingers easily with water which is great. It has quite a perfumed fragrance though that fades straight away. It gives a light to medium coverage: just slightly evening out my pigmentation, gives a bit of a healthy glow and doesn't dry out my skin but does make my nose a little oily by the end of the day, has a matt finish and does last all day. The colour leaves my skin looking a little flushed so slightly to much orange/red pigment to it. I'm not sure what similar products are retailed for but this product at $17.49 is fine. The packaging is nice and simple and easy to use. Results: i did expect more from a BB cream as i have heard that they are pretty amazing... it's 5 promises: 24 hr hydration: i wouldn't say that this product is overly hydrating. Evens complexion: slightly. Corrects blemishes: no. Boosts healthy glow: yes. UV protection SPF 15: hopefully. If somebody without problem skin was really on a budget the yes this product could be ok for them, otherwise there is definitely better out there.
Tips: Practise application first... too much= to orangey, too little= you're rubbing at your skin making it redder. I used my pre moisturiser products under this product.
Perfect size – for hiding in the handbag or the corner of the vanity, I also like the way it stands, so there is no need to be trying to get the cream to the opening. It seems very thick when it comes out but once applied to the face and heated up it thins out quite a bit, only thing I don’t like about it is it makes me look like an oompa loompa, so I have to put a powder on over top to calm it down a bit, I do like the coverage and it defiantly covers my imperfections. I don’t think I will buy this again though as I prefer a daily cream that I can just slap on and not have to worry about a powder.
I have updated my review. I have given BB cream a second chance and I am starting to like it.
I have never used BB cream so I was really excited and grateful for the chance. The packaging made me a little cautious as all bitsy on the front and looked like you could pull a lable off but you couldn't. I don't want to be rude about the packaging but it looks like when you buy a 'knock off' from certain shops. I expected to find paper instructions inside the packaging but everything is jam packed, printed on the packaging itself. I don't like the lid. It is very messy on the inside after each use. We are all use to our own moisturiser and foundation and for me I found the BB cream very thin when applying but after using for several weeks now, I am getting use to it. The BB Cream went on my face dewy so I found my appearance to be oily/shiny. The BB Cream takes a while to settle in to my face, whic I can find frustrating. I tried with moisturiser, BB then foundation, just BB then foundation and BB on it's own. I do not have a lot of time in the morning to let the BB cream settle in to my face but I am starting to find a routine to allow this to happen. I do like the sweet, fruit fragrance, almost like the smell of Peach Ice tea. During the trial I thought the BB cream did not give me the coverage I expected (impatient expecting miracle in a bottle) straight away. On it's own, I still needed to use concealer or foundation. BB cream did not last on my face all day either. Several weeks laster, I am still working out if BB cream is making a difference under my foundation. I think it is making my appearance look smoother.
Tips: For me the trial period was not long enough and initally gave BB Cream a poor review. I have continued to use BB Cream and it is growing on me. Trial it over a long period and be patient.
This was my first try at using a BB Cream. My skin is quite normal but I have natural red cheeks and freckles. I was hoping for it to cover my red cheeks but it only what I would call dimmed them. The consistency was thicker than what I thought it would be. I just used my fingertips to apply and it was very easy apart from having to wash your hands after. The packaging was a bit stiff to get it out, it took a good squeeze. It does look very pretty tho. I found that it would come off during the day but a lot came off when I washed at night. I think it was good. I don't see how it could be like moisturiser when its so think but that's just me :)
I used my fingertips to apply and found the cream gave good natural even looking coverage. Most of all it didn't block my pores as some creams and foundations do. I did have to re-apply after about 4-5 hours. I didn't notice any scent, which for me is a good thing. I also like the description in the front of the packaging.
When I first opened this product I was so pleased with the smell!! Garnier have such fruity-smelling hair products and I am glad that they transferred the smell to their BB Cream too.
I liked that the texture was not too thick, and not too runny-just right for applying with my fingers in a hurry or being blended into my foundation with a brush. It gave a light to medium coverage, I still used concealer on my bags and a powder over the top.
I have oily skin and found that the finish was very glossy/oily but once I put a matte powder over the top, it was flawless and lasted all day. The colour 'light' was slightly too dark for me (I have incredibly pale skin) but with the help of my regular concealer and powder I managed to tone the colour down to match my face.
Tips: If you do not like the 'dewy' finish, or have oily skin be sure to put a powder over the top of the BB Cream to set it.
I was very excited to trial and review the garnier bb cream I was given the medium shade which blended well with my natural skin colouring, I found I got a better, even coverage using my finger tips more than a brush or sponge. I don't believe it has true 24 hour coverage but it definitely withstood the entire day, I used it with a light bronzer as an alternative to foundation for a day and was pleased with the results. Couldn't use it on the pms days as it enhanced the hormonal skin breakout. I also found it to have a slight oily texture while applying but once blended I couldn't tell I was wearing it. I would probably buy again but it's not on my must have in my makeup bag list. Like the fact it has SPF 15 in it would be better if it was SPF 30 though. It's definitely worth trying as it looks different on every one, I did like the fact that no one could tell I was wearing make up with it.
Tips: A light powder foundation or bronzer over top gives it a nice foundation type finish
