Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

The only other BB cream I've tried before this one was the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream which was my go to before I tried this out. I have to say that this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream works so much better for me, I think I have a new go to product. I love the packaging of this product because the tube is quite slim so it is definitely beneficial for people that want to have it on the go in their purse or make up bag and the shiny gold brown colour gives it a fresh look. It doesn't have a noticeable scent at all and it is a very thin liquid but has very good coverage. I use it like I would use a moisturiser and apply it with my fingers and it blends really easily and adjusts to my skin really nicely and I found that it is very buildable as it doesn't cake up on my skin. It dries to a matte finish but not so matte that my skin is left looking flat and dull, it gives me a natural glow. It is very smooth on my skin and feels very lightweight. I have quite a few imperfections on my skin with the acne scarring being the major issue but with this the appearance of my pores, my acne scarring and my under eye circles are reduced really well. I wore it underneath my foundation and it gave my foundation a more flawless finish and made my skin look so much healthier. My skin requires the extra coverage so the second time around I used the Benefit Porefessional primer, concealer, powder and liquid foundation but this product did the job surprisingly well the first time I tried it on it's own as well. It lasts the whole day without shifting or melting away and even though my skin is quite dry during the winter season this product still allowed me to look healthy and radiant. I didn't have to do any touch ups. The only negative about this product is that there are only two shades, I used the medium shade because it was the darkest shade available and that was too light for my dark skin which was another reason for me having to put on the foundation over the top but I would still use it again and again and again because I enjoyed it.

I received the BB cream in Medium. Upon opening the box and admiring the the beautiful oft and tiny bottle i opened and realized that maybe I was intact more a "light" than a medium. never the less after my shower i tried the BB cream out. the consistency was really runny and this surprised me i have always had really thick BB creams. I put the BB Cream (probably too much as it flows out of the bottle) onto the top of my hand and just used my finger to dab it a bit on my hand then rub it in on my face. It was so easy to blend with my fingers and its coverage is amazing. I built it up in some places to reduce redness and it did so well. I am a user of fake tan and after a fresh tan this medium color worked perfectly on me. After wearing it for about 16 hours i checked myself before i removed it and i still looked just as flawless as i did when I put it on. This product is amazing and I would almost compare it to a light coverage foundation, thats how well it covered my skin. It left me with a slightly dewy finish but was still quite matte.

I was about to buy some BB cream before I got picked for this review so I am stoked!! I'm a busy mum I have 2 little rat bags so I'm always on the go this cream is great. I have a "porcelain" tone and my skin is combination so can be dry and oily at the same time. I wash my face like normal apply some toner then apply this amazing cream with my brush. Only need a tiny bit as it has quite a runny consistency so a little goes a long way! The colour is great it is a nice shade which matches my skin beautifully it doesn't have a punk or yellow tone like a lot if the other "light" tinted moisturisers. It has a really nice natural coverage and feels so light! Just feels like moisturiser. The coverage lasts all day which I find amazing!! I love this product and I will be buying it after this tube runs out! THANKYOU for letting me trial this product!

I have never worn a BB cream before as I have always been in the mindframe that it would not provide enough coverage for my skin. However I was suprised with the results I got with this. First off when I opened the tube it came out quite watery and bubbly, I just resealed the tube and gave it a good shake and this seemed to help. The consistancy is still quite thin but it seems that, that is how it is meant to be. The other thing that I noticed straight away is that considering that it was the light colour it was quite a lot darker than what I imagined it would be. I decided to try this BB cream in a range of different ways over the course of the trial and see what I got the best results from. Day 1- I did my usual skin care rountine, applied my primer and concealer and then used the BB cream in place of my usual foundation. I only applied one layer as it is quite dark on me. I then applied my usual blusher etc and finished with my pressed powder. I thoughgt it looked quite good and even though the coverage was lighter than I would have got if I had used my foundation I was happy enough with it. During the day it stayed in place and it was only after about 8-9 hours that I noticed a bit of a sheen which I removed with my usual blotting papers. I quite liked the fact that the BB cream didn't feel heavy on my skin. Day 2- I decided to apply the BB cream in place of my usual moisturiser and leave it just by itself. this time I applied two applications and actually ened up taking it all off and starting again with only one application as putting on two made me look really orange. I also did not apply a pressed powder on top as i wanted to see if it would stay but itself. I wasn't really that pleased with the results I got using it this way as I found it slipped quite quickly and I got quite a lot of shiny oilyness through my T-zone. Day 3- I decided to use the BB cream as a primer under my normal foundation as I had read that this was another way of wearing it. I used my normal moisturiser and let it dry before applying the BB cream. Because of the darkness of the Bb cream I did think the overall look once my foundation was applied was a bit too dark but other than that I think it worked rather well. Again it took about 8 hours before I started to notice any shinyness.

Since doing these three applications I have used it in both the first and third way and I definatly like the first way I applied it the most, and I will continue to use it as I do think it does most of what it states it will

I was lucky enough to be able to trial this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil-free SPF 15 BB Cream as a part of the numerous trial invites that were sent out to numerous members.

Upon receiving the product, my initial impression was the packaging. It came in a small rectangular box which was obviously Garnier. The actual packaging of the product was a long thing tube with an easy screw lid. To be quite honest, my initial thought was that there wasn't much product at all for the size and price that it is sold for for.

However, opening the product, I realised that the BB cream was very thing and more of a liquid compared to my past experiences with other BB creams. But I wasn't sure if this was a good thing or not...

When I used the product, I applied it immediately after my morning routine of scrubbing, toning and moisturising my face. My skin was soft and fresh at this point and the application of the BB cream was very easy. Because of the liquidness I found it highly easy to apply... but I also found that I was more prone to streaks when applying which I didn't find as a problem with other BB creams that I've used. This is an easy fix though - rub the area with a damp sponge!

I wore it during the day and also until around 9 o'clock at night. I found it to be fine all day at this point - no major slipping or oxidising to report. However, I did find that as my skin slowly dried, the dry skin became more prominent throughout the day due to the BB cream sticking to the dry skin. This wasn't a major issue though as it's something that wasn't very obvious, only to me.

I usually use light when it comes to Garnier BB creams but I found the shade medium to be a perfect colour for me. It wasn't too light, but it also wasn't too dark. It matched my skin perfectly. I did not look orange either! Instead a healthy tan. I was able to blend the BB cream into my jawline to make it less obvious that I was wearing it.

In terms of coverage, I found this BB cream to have a light to medium coverage, which to me, is to be expected of a BB cream. I would not expect a heavy coverage with a BB cream - that is what foundation is for. I found it light and easy to wear with even the most natural looking make up (and even without any make-up!). It was not obvious to others that I was wearing it (I did ask).

Overall, I would truly recommend this BB cream to those with combination skin. I found that not only didn't it slip very easily but also it didn't oxidise or cake a lot compared to others. I found it very easy to apply and it lasted all day.

I was excited to try this Garnier bb cream as I haven't had much experience with bb cream, only trying one other bb cream in the past. I, like many others were part of the big trial for beauty review on the Garnier bb creams, lucky me! (Yay)

First of all, the packaging is in a long tube with the distinctive Garnier look. I think it looks quite stylish and rather high-end. When I opened the tube for the first time a huge amount came out, so I think in this case a pump would have been a better option and mean less wastage of product.

The consistency is similar to that of a liquid foundation, and my first thoughts was that I'm so glad I got the right colour of light for my pale skin. I decided to apply the bb cream using my Real Techniques brush, which I'm absolutely loving at the moment!

Using the RT brush I buffed the bb cream into my face, starting from my cheek and moving all across my face. After I finished the application I was rather surprised at the good coverage it had, I really didn't expect bb creams to be this effective.

What I really loved was the light feeling of this on my skin, it feels like I'm not wearing anything and has a lovely satin like finish on my skin. I'm impressed with bb cream and felt like it really gave me a natural, lovely finish.

Towards the end of the day, the bb cream had faded off in areas around my face, like my t zone. However, as its a bb cream I wouldn't expect it to have the longevity of a longwearing foundation.

I'm still a lover of my medium-full coverage foundations (Clinique Even Better and Nars Sheer Glow) so bb cream won't be surpassing these anytime soon. But, I see this Garnier bb cream will be perfect for days that I'm just going to be staying at home and want a more light, natural finish.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this bb cream and think it will definitely be a staple of mine going forward.

Was so excited to be selected to be part of the trial team for this product! I generally wear a medium coverage foundation, and don't tend to go for the BB's or lighter foundations, but I honestly love this product! I've used this product every day since it has arrived and have noticed the difference in my skin. First impressions were quite good, I applied product with my fingers not a brush and the coverage was surprisingly good. I did apply some concerler to pimples as these weren't sufficiently covered by the BB. I had the lightest colour and this was perfect for my skin tone and blended out well. Overall i found the formula to be quite wet on my skin, but this did dry into my skin after a wee wait. After just about a week of using this I have noticed a bit of a difference in my skins tone. The colour is more even overall and i haven't got any new spots which is nice. Would recommend this to my friends in a heart beat, also good that there are lots of different formula for different skin types. Very glad that I got the oil free one I found that it stayed on my face for a full day without sliding off, if I was going to have an extra long day I would probably put a wee dust of powder on too just for the extra stay power. Im in love with this BB will be buying it when this tube has run out!

I use BB cream on almost a daily basis and so I was excited when I discovered Garniers BB cream for oily skin. The formula itself was a runny consistency (Be careful when opening!) but went on evenly. Being a BB cream the coverage was light, but It did an amazing job at covering redness and those pesky dark under-eye circles. If you're after a natural look, then this is for you.

I found that while the BB cream was a lightweight, hassle-free alternative to foundation, it did little to reduce oiliness and by the end of the day the product had managed to disappear. In saying that, the tube is now empty so they must be doing something right ;)

I have combo skin - I'm generally prone to dry patches on my cheeks, the sides of my nose and my forehead. My nose and chin on the other hand are oily. I'm also prone to redness, I guess it's the English in me!

First impressions - product comes in a box, whilst I'm not a fan of extra packaging, the box is full of product information. This BB Cream is in a different packaging to the rest of the range, it's a slender, long tube with a screw lid, which I do prefer to the clip tops. (I'm heavy handed, and always snap clip tops off) My only gripe is the product does come out of the tube rather fast!

I love BB Cream and I usually go for a medium shade, but as it's Winter I decided to opt for light. Brilliant choice - it's a great match for my skin, and blends well. The product itself is quite runny, which I've not experienced in a BB cream before, but it does make the application really quick and blending easy.

It smells a little like sunscreen, which given it's got SPF in it you can't really complain!

Ok, results time.

Upon first application (after my usual moisturising routine) I found the product easy to apply and blend. The finish was matte, without being flat and dull, and I felt it covered my rosy cheeks really well. However it did cling to the sides of my nose, leaving a flaky finish. Luckily I wasn't leaving the house! My face stayed oil free until my evening shower.

Second time round I really moisturised my face, and applied a primer first. (L'Oreal Lumi Magic, aka, the most amazing primer in the world). I then applied the BB cream to everywhere except my nose crevices. I mixed a little moisturiser with a little BB cream and used the mixture on that area. It worked a treat. Again the finish was sheer and light, not too matte and lasted really well through the day.

I love this BB Cream, being fussy I'd want it to be a bit more rich in moisture, but it's an easy fix by adding my usual moisturiser,

Packaging was great as it’s in a narrow squeezable tube that means that when you reach the bottom you’ll not have to cut away at it to get the very last drops out, which makes it a very affordable product compared with other types of packaging on the market.

The formula itself seems to be too runny, it squirted out all over the place on first application, and it didn’t have any fragrance as far as I could tell which is great. As I normally apply my BB cream by the use of a makeup sponge, I tried this first but the product got soaked up into the sponge, so a finger and sponge blotting method was best for me. I did find that the colour was slightly on the peachy/yellow side which did nothing for me.

I also used it on my face in different ways too, by trying it with a primer underneath which resulted in the best coverage and lasted all day with no shiny marks finding their way through. Without primer on its own, this let shiny marks and didn’t make it through the day. With powder on top, with primer, this just kept it in place with no shine until time to wash off. With powder on top, with no primer this kept the shiny marks at bay for a while but not for all day wear, needed to blot out the shine.

My verdict is that I am not very impressed and most likely won’t be purchasing again, not only did it not cover my shiny areas but it also dried out the areas of my face that are prone to dry skin, so overall it wasn’t a very effective BB cream for me.
