I am in my late 20's and starting to use anti aging products, so was really keen to give this a try. At the moment, I have combination skin and am starting to notice those fine lines appearing.
I found this is a really unwearable and unnatural colour on me. I have used other Garnier BB creams and the medium shade has been fine for me in the past, however, this one was VERY orange toned and really didn't look great on my skin, it gave me quite a muddy look. The consistency of the product itself is nice, it is quite a thick, creamy texture. I tried applying this two ways; with a brush and with my fingers. I found applying with a brush made the product look streaky and it sort of moved around on my face and didn't give much coverage. This worked much better when applied with my fingers, it gave an even coverage and the warmth from my hands/fingers helped it to spread and apply nicely. I also tend to finish off with patting motions when applying BB creams to avoid any 'wipe' marks.
This is definitely not a full coverage product - I would say light to medium if you built it up (and for me I would tend not to, as the more it is built up the darker and more orangey it looked on me).
I tried wearing this a couple of ways. The first was alone; this did not last very long, moved around on my face, wiped off if you touched it and looked very very oily. The second was to wear it with some translucent pressed powder on top. This definitely helped to tone down the orange tone a smidge and helped the product to last longer. The third way I tried this was as a primer before using foundation. Out of all three, this is the method I prefer with this product as I can use a foundation that is slightly too light for me and it helps to counteract the darkness & orange in the BB cream.
The packaging of the product is fine, nothing spectacular, but it does the job. The tube is easy to squeeze and get product out of, but I found the BB cream did tend to sort of clump in the opening so you would end up with one of those weird little hard unusable bits of product would come out first sometimes.
I personally did not notice any noticeable improvement in skin firmness and I found this BB cream made my skin feel a bit dirty because it felt and looked so oily. I have also noticed some breakouts since using this - which I can't confirm or deny is from using this product.
This isn't something I personally would repurchase or recommend based on my experience.
I'm a 50 yr old that has combination skin and still gets breakouts which is a pain. The first time I used it, I noticed that it had a lovely floral smell and came out of the tube easily without being runny. I noticed that I had probably chosen the wrong colour as I got the medium and it was quite dark. I chose medium as I have found the light ones too light for my skin. After saying this, it would be great in summertime. A little went a long long way with this one. On the first day I moisturised first and then applied the BB cream and found it quite greasy and made what few wrinkles I had appear deeper (which I didn't like the thought of!) and the slight shadows under my eyes appeared darker. My skin got more dewy/greasier looking by each hour which I didn't like too much. By the end of the night I had little pimples on my face like I have never had before.
The next day I didn't use a moisturiser at all and just used the cream. I seemed to last a lot longer on my face this time before getting the too dewy/greasy look to it.
Even though it worked better on an unmoisturised skin, I personally prefer to use my moisturiser before using any type of foundation. I did have to add a concealer for any spots I had and they seemed to be enhanced otherwise.
I didn't notice any firming over the time but think the product 'reflected' light away from the wrinkles deep pores.
Do watch as it does transfer very easily onto clothes etc.
I don't think I would use this product again due to the 'too much shine' look after an hour or so and have also used other BB creams that seem to suit me better.
Tips: Do not moisturise before using it. Apply a concealer on trouble areas before using the BB cream.
