Worth it!

The Sleek Eyeshadow palette is absolutely amazing! I bought it online for around $20 and it is definitely worth it! I purchased the storm palette which has a range of colours from blues and greens, to pinks, to golds and coopers. It has mainly shimmery colours with a must-have matte black as well. The pigmentation is amazing! The colours are easy to blend as they are so silky. This is definitely a must-have item and I will be purchasing more sleek palettes in the near future!

Tips: Apply concealer on the eyelid beforehand, so the colours are more vibrate and last longer

Sleek iDivine Eyeshadow Palette

I have the Sleek iDivine eyeshadow palette in the Au Natural collection of shades.

I purchased this as I was after a cheaper alternative to the Naked 1 Palette, had a neutral set of shades and would be versatile for all occasions. I purchased this off the Sleek website for about $18 NZD (not including freight). It did take a little while to arrive as it is coming from the United Kingdom, but turned up in good condition, I was worried it would break….

I have oily eyelids so I like to use this with an eye primer (at the moment it is Urban Decays Eyeshadow Primer in Eden), I find the eye primer also makes the colors that much more vibrant. The shades in this palette are also, I find easy to blend, with the right tools. Not so much the brush that comes with it, thats totally useless. i do tend to use the dark brown and black as eyeliner shades. As well as another brown which matches my brows as a brow powder. Bonus! The glitter based colors are a little difficult to blend fully, but do work well when pressed onto the lid, for a bit of shimmer.

I have managed to snap the lid off my palette (darn!) so I don't tend to travel with it, and am careful when storing it.

All in all I really like this product, it is my go to for eyeshadows. I think it is also a really affordable palette. I will probably be getting another in the near future . . .

Tips: Definitely use a eyeshadow primer, the colors will pop!

W O W

I purchased the storm, au natural and oh so special palettes off the sleek website and it was all quite cheap (around $18NZD each). I bought these as an alternative to the highly popular naked palettes.

All i can say is wow! For the price, these eyeshadows are amazing. There is a combination of mattes and shimmers to choose from. I found all of the colours were quite pigmented and easily blendable. However the whites in the palettes were not as pigmented. I tried using an eye primer underneath the eyeshadows and oh boy, the colours turned out so much more intense and lasted longer.

Overall the quality of these eyeshadows are really good and i would highly recommend buying them for a cheaper option compared to more high end brands such as urban decay.

Tips: using an eye primer beforehand will make the colours more intense and longer lasting!

Bit of an average palette :(

I wanted to love this sleek palette (I have Oh so special) but I just found myself never really reaching for it.

There are some awesome colours like Noir (matte) Celebrate (shimmer) and gift basket (shimmer) but in general I found the colours just didn't really suit me, especially the quite pink toned ones. I am pale with blonde hair so that could have something to do with it. I also found some of the colours a bit chalky and the shimmers actually applied stronger if you used your finger instead of a brush.

In terms of the packaging it is pretty 'sleek' but is made of similar material to NARS products so it gets dirty pretty quick. Also the clasp to close the palette could be a bit tricky to open and close which I found really annoying. I wish this palette came with a brush instead of those horrible foam applicators.

Overall I think this is a good palette if you are looking for something more affordable with a range of colours, mattes and shimmers. But if you are pale it may pay to go with one of the other Sleek palettes with a more suitable colour range. I will be looking to try a different one sometime soon!

Tips: Use a primer to intensify the shadow colours and make them stay on longer.

Oh So Special!

My initial reaction to this package went something like this: Yay! Yay! Yay! As I struggled to open the package and I could feel what it was. Then, OMG so small..? I thought it was bigger. It fits nicely into my hand, like a six week old puppy dog. It’s small, really.

Of course, then dad was standing next to me asking what I had paid for it, then shook his head mumbling something about the fact that he doesn’t understand women and me being like, this is actually cheap.

So, off I went in search of a mirror. I wanted to see if the pigmentation was really as good as everyone said. And oh, yes! I dipped my finger into each one of them and dragged it over my arm. The pigmentation on the lighter ones weren’t as good, but you could still see them.

So, after I did my eyes for the first time – I would test it to see what the staying power would be like, and with no primer or anything on my eyes, it lasted a solid four hours which isn’t too bad. Pamper, the first pink, also makes a great blush!

The shade variety in this is incredible, you can make so many different looks and they all look amazing!

I don’t know if I am completely sold it on however, as each time I want to open it I struggle for a good ten seconds and I am not going to trim my nails to make it easier. The product is great, but I think they could’ve done better with the packaging.

Edit: I have bought another and I really love the pigmentation and colours, but again I struggle with the packaging. I will buy more solely for the product inside.

These palettes are absolutely amazing! They have hardly and fall out, they last long, they are pigmented, they don't crease.. Seriously so good for the price you pay. Definitely worth investing in!

Great for the price

For all the colours you get in a single palette this product is very good value for money. Every palette seems to have nice colours for creating a variety of looks. Sleek definitely have covered all bases! The only problem i find with this palette is that the colours don't always blend that well, you have to really put pressure on the brush for them to blend. So they aren't the most amazing quality but are a great palette for someone building a makeup collection

Tips: Use eye primer first

Oh So Special

I just picked up this little gem and was very happy with my purchase. There 7 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades which is really nice. The matte shades are all very basic shades, but it is the shimmer shades that i love the most. Celebrate is a red/brown shimmer that looks beautiful!! Organza and gateau are the pinky shimmer shades with a champagne undertone to them both. Glitz is almost a metallic grey with blue undertones in it. Gift basket almost looks slightly pink in the pan but comes off as a really pretty bronze, by far my favourite of them all.

Tips: mix a matte colour for the base and a shimmer on top for the best results in my opinion :)

Good matte palettes

I have 2 sleek palettes in matte V1 and matte V2.One has crazy bright colors and the other has more neutral dark tones.

These palettes are both great. I love the colors and the pigmentation is quiet good. I do prefer the darker one as i find it easier to wear on a daily basis. Also i can create looks with just that one palette. I like the brighter palette also its just not as easy to wear in my opinion. But great for color experimentation.

One thing i dont really like about it is they are quite powdery. Which can make it more difficult to blend out the colors. It can easily be worked around though. It can also cause alot of fall out. Once again something that can be worked around.

I think these palettes are so great, especially for the price. I would love to try more of them

Amazing Pigments

I LOVE this palette, even more than any of the Naked ones! I was lucky enough to buy this on a recent trip to England, I tossed up between this and the Too Faced eye shadow palettes, and I am glad I picked this one. Value for money is a 11/10, for around $7 pounds, it didn't even come close to the Too Faced (or any other eye shadow palettes for that matter).

The pigments are amazing. The colours are mainly all matte which I love, and a couple of shimmery shades, which are very wearable and not full of glitter. They can be a little hard to apply, I found that a tapping motion works best. The shadows do not crease at all on me, which makes a change (even the Naked ones seem to).

All in all I would give this palette a 9/10. It is such great value for money. I will definitely be buying the whole range...
