Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

This foundation is ridiculous. It actually stayed on my face from 6am to midnight without budging. It's sweat proof and quite water proof. The coverage is amazing and it just erased my flaws without the need for concealer. A little bit goes a long way. I only used a tiny bit for my entire face. From what I know and saw, the colour selection is nice too. The only cons I see are the price and the difficulty in removing it. It gave me few little pimples here and there when I wore it a few days consecutively, although I'm sure it was because I couldn't remove it with just normal makeup remover. But definitely worth the hype in my opinion.

I'd heard such excellent things about the Double Wear, and I was really excited to try it. I was also pretty happy about the range of colours, and that they colour matched me in the store before I bought it (can't get that with l'Oreal or other off-the-shelf brands) So I was happy with the colour, and felt that it matched really well.

The Double Wear goes on nicely, and it doesn't have that 'dry' feeling that I've had in the past with other long-wearing foundations (that slightly tight feeling that makes you want to wash it off immediately)

It's full coverage, and I found that it was mostly good at covering any acne scars I had - I only needed to use a little bit of concealer after I'd applied the Double Wear. It's definitely long lasting - and it doesn't rub off onto my clothes/phone/hands as much as other foundations I've used in the past.

What I didn't love? I found it to be dull and flat for my face. It didn't give me that slight 'glow' that I get when using something like a Visible Lift. I know the Double Wear isn't marketed as a brightening product, but I felt like it left my skin looking dull.

I didn't have any trouble with removing it at the end of the day, but I used the Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean (which I think was designed to help remove the Double Wear)

All-in-all it's a good product. It does what it says it will. For me, I think I prefer a foundation that also brightens, but that's not the fault of this product.

the first time i used this foundation was when they were giving out those 10 day samples, and i must say, that sample lasted me around 2 weeks, meaning that you dont need a lot of foundation when you are applying it. I did purchase it from smith and caugheys in auckland because i was in love with it so much. Here's why:

you dont need a primer with this foundation because it literally sticks to you like glue. My face was flawless all day, whether i went to the beach or if i stayed inside all day. i didn't get any breakouts, but if you have oily skin, i recommend that you don't use this one because the foundation traps all those natural oils under it, thus causing breakouts.

its a little hard to remove, but if you give your face a massage with rosehip oil, it comes off quite easily.

I have not tried very many foundations, but I quite like this. You do have to work very, very qiuckly with it but it does not feel heavy at all on my skin and sometimes I forget I am wearing makeup. My only 'gripe' is that it does not last very well on my nose but sticks like glue everywhere else. It is a bit of a pain to remove (I use a makeup wipe then I double cleanse), but at the end of the day I would recommend to others. I think it's also good value for money too (otherwise I wouldn't have purchased it..)

I've never been much of a foundation wearer but after suffering from hormonal acne, this has been my go to product. The texture is incredible and colour match really great. It is often hard to find the perfect colour, but my personal experience using double wear has made it easy to match. I do however admit i like to set my foundation with a light bronzer only because of habit. You actually do not need to do this. I often have problems with excess oil in the summer time. Estee Lauder gives me the confidence to wear during any season.

I recently purchased this foundation after reading about it on BR. I work outdoors and don't wear makeup on a daily basis so up until this point I had just used cheaper light foundations but got sick of them not staying in place and looking very average so I decided to treat myself. I am beyond happy with this product! Its easy to apply, looks great and lasts all day/night! I get such a confidence boost wearing this foundation and with great coverage it means I dont need to use concealer with it.

This is the first foundation that hasn't let me down. Usually ill love a foundation but as my skin changes and adjusts to the climate (winter=dry/summer=oily) i will get over it as it didnt work as well as before. With this foundation i found that no matter how my skin is the foundation never budges smears or transfers i am totally in love with this foundation and will probably be for the rest of my life. the main thing i love about this foundation is that its water resistant for example i wore it to the beach one time and i wasn't going to go swimming but eventually i did and when i came out it was still in place and looked like i just applied it. Only thing i wish it had a pump because i waste a lot by pouring too much or not enough. the bottle is small however it is 30ml and that is the normal amount in most foundations.

Its definitely my holy grail foundation.

This foundation is amazing for achieving that flawless skin look when your skin is not so flawless. I have adult acne and scarring and all sorts of terrible stuff going on, but this stuff makes my skin look amazing. The product goes a really long way and blends really well and I find the shades to be a lot more natural than some other brands of foundation - in other words more like skin colouring than various shades or yellow/pink.

Omg this is my holey grail for coverage and perfect match for my shade I love how it fits my skin its an awesome coverage for my pigmentation and i love how i put it on and it wont smudge or rub off on to clothing its so perfect it dosent budge an inch it feels so light weight and perfect for evenings out
